Readers POV~ Flashback

I got ready for battle. I was running and jumping roof to roof.

"(Y/n)! 8 meter class right behind you!" Eren yelled as he sliced a piece of Titans flesh from the neck. I turned my heel, meeting face to face with the Titan.

He swiped his hand trying to grab me. I launched my  grapple hook behind the Titan, and launched myself with gas to the other side. I landed on the roof, behind him. I launched myself on his shoulder and ran to the neck and sliced his flesh off, deep enough. He started to tip over and I jumped off of him, landed on my feet, on the floor.

I heard loud footsteps, I peered around the corner of the building and saw a one meter titan. I ran as fast as I could, with it following me. I launched one grapple hook on the top of the building and let the gas take me half way. I stayed hanging from the side of  the building till he was a bit far from me. Then I fell down on his back and quickly slashed his weak spot and jumped down back at the ground. He fell down. I started running again.

"Wait why I'm on the ground..?" I stopped and looked down. I rolled my eyes at my stupidity and let my grapple hook, hook on the the side of the buildings and let myself go mid air with the gas.

I zipped through the air, allowing the gas pushing me through the little town.

I heard someone scream nearby. I landed on top of the roof and looked around. I saw Armin getting picked up.

"ARMIN IM COMING" I yell and launched myself over where he was. I land on the Titans arm and ran to his wrist. I cut his hand off, completely. The hand fell off, while it roared.

It started to regenerate. I launched a hook around its neck and I started to zip to around it, while passing the neck, I sliced its weak spot. I landed on the roof  and watched the Titan fall.

I saw Armin hanging in the side of the building, looking at me shocked.

"You alright Armin?!" I shouted across.

"Y-Yeah, thanks for saving me!" He shouted and zipped away. I gave a smile and watched him leave. I went down zipping the other way.

*15 minutes of Titan battling later*

"Please let me survive with this bit of gas I have" I said sighing in distress, while tapping on the little gas tank. I looked at the direction of the gate. "Yup I'll probably run out before I even reach the gate" I sweat dropped.

I started to run roof to roof again, to the direction of the gate. Trying to avoid all the Titans.

Halfway there. I jumped down and I started zipping through the air again. I pass by a ten meter Titan.

Suddenly I felt like something grabbed my wire. My eyes widen I looked back. It had grabbed my wire. I felt like my heart had stopped.

It pulled my wire back, causing me to hit a wall. I fell on the floor.

"God damn. I'm so fucking clumsy" It started to walk towards me. I quickly got up and started to run. I hooked on to the side of the buildings and launched myself in the air. I headed to the direction of the gate.

"Use the gas wisely, use it wisely (y/n) you're almost there...I hope.." I repeated to myself. I let a bit of gas out, to keep myself in the air for a few more seconds. I hooked on to the sides of the building again and kept on gliding through the air.

I pressed the button to let out a bit of gas. Nothing.

"Huh?" I pressed it again. Still nothing. "No no no not now please!" I kept on pressing it. I fell on the floor and started rolling. My back hit on the wall of a building.

I started to feel dizzy. I must've hit my head hard... I weakly got up and took a few seconds to regain my vision back.

I look around. Good no Titans here. I took both of my swords and started running again.

Loud footsteps. Was the only thing I heard all around me, but I kept on running anyways.

More and more kept on coming. I gulped. I'm not in a good situation here. This had never happened to me from all these years of battling. Why now?

Roars was being heard. I looked back, seeing three Titans following.

Someone please help. I tripped on my own two feet and my swords flew a few feet away from me. They kept on coming closer. I sighed as one of them picked me up. I closed my eyes and tears started flowing out and I smiled. This is the end...

My life flashed before my eyes. The Titan was about to swallow me whole. It let go of me. I kept my eyes closed. It roared all of the sudden. I kept on falling. I opened my eyes a bit. I see myself falling in mid-air. I looked down see a dead Titan. I closed my eyes again.

Falling from the sky or be eaten by a thing 20x bigger than me. Im still going to die either way. I felt like I was falling forever. I open my eyes and saw a guy with black hair, and silver eyes and a blank expression, carrying me back to the gate.

We were heading to the direction of the gate. We went to the top of the wall and he settled me down on the edge. He took a closer look at my face and remained quiet.

"Where is your gear?" He said soft but cold tone.

"I-it broke sir.." I looked away.

"Tch. Go get some new one and keep on battling." He patted my head and zipped back down.

"(Y/n)! Are you alright?!" Eren came up and kneeled down gave me a bone crushing hug.

"O-oi, Eren, yes I'm fine.. Y-you're choking m-me" he quickly let go.

"Sorry... I'm glad you're alright. Me and the others were really worried..." I smiled and stood up. I stumbled, almost falling off, but Eren caught me. I saw the same man on a roof, looking up at me with a frown on his face. When he saw me he started fighting Titans.

Eren pulled me back up and looked down at me with a worried expression.

"Are you sure you're ok?..."

"Yeah" I smiled at him again "I just hit my head a few times.." I felt something leaking behind my head. I touch the back of my head and saw blood on my hand. He frowned and left.

He came back with bandages. He told me to sit and I did as he said. He kneeled down next me and started bandaging my head.

When he was done he stood up.

"Rest here a bit, before you can fight, ok?" I frowned. He put the bandages back and went back down. I stood and went to get new gear.

I made sure everything was working properly and gas tanks were full. I went down and landed on a roof. I started to think about the man who saved me. Why did he even save me?

"And I didn't even get to know his name..." I sighed. "We'll probably meet again someday..." I said.
