I was scared for my life when they took me out onto the stage. With a gag in my mouth and a blindfold over my healed eyes, the bids just kept getting bigger and bigger. Just when the auction started slowing down though..

"Going once! Going twice!"

An outlandish bid was made.

"9 WITH THIRTY ZEROES AFTER IT!!!"

"N-9,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Yen it is!! Going once! Going twice! SOLD, to the man with orange hair over there!"

Oh my G*d, I don't want to know who was willing to spend so much money on me..

And orange hair? Are you kidding me? This guy must be some kind of freak..

"Here's your purchase," I felt my chain shift. The person was probably giving it to whatever freak had bought me..

"Thanks! Um, just a second.. Here you go! 9 with thirty zeros in Yen!"

"Arigato. Enjoy your purchase."

"Sure will! Okay, buddy, let's go home, shall we?!"

His.. voice sounds familiar..

The man hummed a tune, dragging me along. He certainly did have the reigns to my collar now, considering I was being pulled towards his voice. I lowered my head as I crawled after him.

Well, I guess it's only going to get worse from here.. Sure, the past few months have been terrible.. They're really intent on getting the ghoul pets submissive before they auction them off, but.. if his outlandish price and how he explained it was anything to go by.. he'll be a handful.

"And, we'll just take this off here.." I felt my blindfold being undone. He'd taken me to his home, supposedly. Anybody we'd walked past greeted him as the 'Young Master'.

The blindfold slid off, and I opened my eyes. It took a little bit to get adjusted, but eventually, I could see clearly. My eyes widened.

"Hi-Hi-Hide?!!" I mumbled against the gag.

"Hm? Did you just say Hide? How do you know my name?" he smiled, "Well, I guess we don't have to establish what you're going to call me then, huh? I'm glad you're already wired to call me by my nickname, although I'm not sure how you even figured that out. Most ghouls and everyone else call me 'master', and it's SUUUUPER annoying!!" he complained.

Wh-Wh-Wh-WHAT IS HIDE DOING HERE?!! AND WHY DID HE JUST BUY ME FOR SUCH AN OUTLANDISH PRICE?!!
