And then... everything went dark.

Okay, so I know that this is my first kiss and all, but is the girl supposed to pass out??

I don't think so.

Katie's body was limp in my arms, and I began to panic. Arms trembling, I pulled a drachma from my pocket and tossed it into the mist from a nearby fountain. 

"Oh Iris, God  of the R-Rainbow, please accept this offering," I stuttered. The rainbow shimmered and I quickly blurted, "Connor Stoll, at umm this hotel?" The rainbow shimmered again as if someone was laughing at me, and then the image changed to an indoor swimming pool. Two teenagers splashed around the water like a couple of five year olds, and because of this I knew I had found my brother.

"Connor!!"

"Wha- Where??!" He sputtered. Amber gently pointed at me, or I guess the vision of me.

"Hey bro- uh I have a little problem." I gestured to the fact that my hopefully girlfriend was unconscious in my arms.

 Connor cursed and Amber shot him a look.

"We'll meet you in the hotel room."

Ten minutes later, I had managed to carry Katie to the elevator and into her room. Thankfully, we hadn't come across anybody, because I don't know how I would've explained this one. 'Oh yeah uh so I was kissing my sort of maybe girlfriend and she passed out into my arms' might get me arrested or something.

Once I reached the room, Connor let me in and helped me get Katie onto a bed. Then, Amber grabbed a damp washcloth from the bathroom and put it over her forehead. 

She sat down on the bed next to Katie and sighed. "How typical- my first gal friend in centuries is in danger already." 

Travis and I leaned on the identical twin bed facing Amber.

"Okay, so what now? Why did this happen? How do we fix it? What is wrong with her??" Connor let out a long stream of questions.

"Calm yourself. I think I know why Katie went unconscious. She swore on the River Styx to love Liam, her conniving old boyfriend, forever. So when she kissed me, it proved that she may have feelings for someone else. I guess this is her punishment."

"Mhmm.. That makes sense," Amber said. "So that means we have to break the swear!"

"Yes," I replied. "So our next destination is..."

"The underworld." Connor finished ominously.

"Well, let's get packing!" Amber exclaimed in a fake happy voice. I could tell that she and Travis were equally hit by what had happened to Katie.

A few minute later, we had all silently packed our bags and checked out of the Hampton Inn. Amber had somehow magiced up an Uber, but I was too upset to question. 

"How are we going to pay for this??"  I whispered to Connor as we were getting in the car.

"I 'withdrew' some money from the bank last night." He replied deviously.

'Oh Gods' I thought to myself. 'Six hours in a car with my brother'.

Goodbye San Francisco.

And now, finally, we had pulled up in front of DOA Recording Studios in Los Angeles.

Soon, we had paid extra to get into Charon's boat (and maybe bribed him a little). Now we had reached the River Styx. Only problem was, Liam wasn't here.
