MALAYAH~

I sat at my desk and counted over the money one more time before putting it in the safe. I then went into my computer and looked up my reservation for my baby's birthday party tomorrow. Yes my Imani was turning one and I could just cry I know for sure I will cry in the morning. I reserved her party at Go Banana's a kid's playhouse. I invited everyone to come so I know I had to have it nice and I wouldn't settle for anything less.

"Mommy!" Imani ran into my office.

"Hey Baby" I reached down and put her in my lap. "Look this is where we are going tomorrow"

"Yayyy!" she smiled and hugged me.

Ryan came in and I dropped my smile. "Where we going tomorrow?"

"I sent you the information did you ever look at it" I asked annoyed

"Yeah I looked at it, I might be a little late"

I shook my head and turned my attention back to my computer "Not surprising"

"But daddy is going to be there for you, okay princess" he grabbed Imani out of my lap. She smiled and laid her head on his shoulder

"What do you have to do tomorrow that will have you late"

"Business" he said as he got on his phone "Wassup what's wrong"

I listened so I could hear the person on the other end of the phone, Im sure it was kiara.

"Yeah I'm about to be on my way" he hung up and sat Imani down. She immediately fell out into the floor crying.

"Wow leaving your daughter for a trick" I got out of my chair and picked her up

"You always wanna fucking argue Im not even going to that girl house"

"Daddy no bad word" Imani pouted at him

"Im sorry princess but mommy is making me mad"

"Be nice mommy" she said looking up at me and I nodded at her

"Okay I will" I bounced her on my hip and looked at ryan confused as to why he was still here

"Bye get out my office ryan, and make sure you can atleast pick up her cake please and thank you"

"I won't let you down" he walked out

"Too late for that"

RYAN~

"Well I hope you have fun, i'll just go out with Ria today she wants to go shopping" Kiara said sounding sad. Today was Imani's birthday and I know for the sake of my life I wouldn't be able to bring her to the party.

"Hold on" I went into my closet and went into my second safe pulling out some money and then locking it. I walked back into the room"Here, take this and go get something nice for yourself"

she counted the money with her eyes wide "Ryan no this is too much money, I can't" she tried to hand it back to me.

"No take it and put it up then" I kissed her forehead "Come on let's go"

I went downstairs making sure I had everything I would need for tonight since I didn't plan on coming back to my house. Ki came down the stairs she changed her outfit and put on a small dress instead of the jumpsuit she had on.

I furrowed my eyebrows "Where you going dressed like that Ki"?

"To the mall I have yet to wear this dress it's just so cute and comfortable"

"Turn to the back" I said

she turned around and pulled the dress down "See"

"Mann stop playing with me Ki go change into something else"

she laughed until she realized I was serious she then went upstairs and put her jumpsuit on again. "I guess this will have to do huh?" she said with hint of attitude but I didn't care.

She walked ahead of me to the door and left out and got in her car without saying anything to me, she has been in her feelings the last few days I don't know what is it but she need to get her shit together before I drop her.

LATER THAT DAY

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUU, Make a wish mani" she stared at the candles and lightly blew them out

"Yayy" everybody clapped and she joined in with them.

"I want a picture of the four of you" My mom came up to us and held her phone up. Malayah,Jayden,Imani, and I posed for the picture.

"Umm can yall get a little closer"

I looked over at Malayah and noticed she had a new necklace on with the letter D on it. I took the picture and stared at her neck.

"Can I help you"

"Who gave you that necklace?"

she hesitated "Uhh a friend why?"

"We will talk later" I shook my head

She put Imani down and grabbed my arm pulling me to the side "How is it that you get to go live your best life but when I try to live mine you think it's a problem"

"The problem isn't what you are doing, it's who you are doing it with"

"And exactly what's wrong with him huh?"

Malayah was clueless to who she was dating because his background wasn't so clean well shit neither was mine " I said what I said stay away from him, I swear you so fucking hard headed" I grabbed the necklace and ripped it off her neck, throwing it in the garbage and walking away.

I decided to go chill with Phor im glad he was here we had a lot to discuss for future plans.

By the time the party was over I was exhausted I just wanted to go to sleep.

"Thanks daddy" Imani yelled as I walked to my car, she was spoiled as fuck she had so many gifts that the back of my truck and Malayah's was filled with gifts.

"No problem princess, you two be good" I said pointing between her and jayden

I got in my car and drove off heading to Ki's house. Once I got there I parked and waited in the car for a while I decided to send Malayah a text "I might come off as someone being demanding but im letting you know now for your future, leave Dre alone, He not who you think he is and im letting you know now I have no problem killing him deadass, Malayah. If there's ever a time to listen to me , this would be the right time"

I knocked on Ki's door and Ria opened it.

"Hey Ryan" she stepped to the side and let me in I went up into Ki's room but she was in the shower so I decided to make myself comfortable until she came out with her towel wrapped around her body. She put her hand over her heart when she seen me "You scared the hell out of me"

"Damn you said it like I was a ghost or something"

she laughed and went into the closet "How was the party"

"It was good always a good time whenever my kids are happy"

"Thats wonderful, I have a question for you though and I really want you to be honest" she came back into the bedroom with a new lingerie set one which got my full attention.

"Ask away"

She climbed on top of me "I just want to make sure im not wasting my time Ryan, are you still in love with Malayah?"

I closed my eyes for a minute and then opened one to see her still staring at me.

"Stop playing so much Ryan forreal"

I laughed "Okay I got love for her that's the mother of my kids, does that answer your question"

She sighed and got off of me, getting under the covers and turning the other way.

"Goodnight, you can let yourself out in the morning"

I got up out of bed and put my shoes on "I'll leave now" she gone tell me to let myself out like I'm a dog or something, my bed at my own house more comfortable anyways.
