RYAN~

It was quiet at the table.
"So what's going on with school" I asked jaden, my son.

"It's fun for now since we just started, im happy to be in fifth grade" he said

"Mannn you growing up too fast on me, what ima do when you go to high school" these years were flying by.

He shrugged and laughed "I can't wait till college it's expensive but I know you can afford it dad"

"You just think I'm a billionaire huh?"

"Something like that" he thought I was born rich.

Jaden turned to Malayah "You went to college too, did you have fun, was it a lot of homework?"

"Yess I just graduated not too long ago, but it's very fun until you have to balance out that fun and work. But in the end it's worth it"

He nodded to her response.

"Where did you meet my dad?"

"Um at a tattoo convention"

"Do you have kids?"

"Nahh not any right now"

"Okay so when you have a child with my dad make sure it's a boy I'm bored being the only child"

That caught both of us off guard.

"Alright Jaden" His ass knows how to question someone.

"Do you like video games?" She asked him changing the subject.

He got excited with discussing video games with Malayah.I tuned them out and started to think about my next few moves and how they will play out.

"Ryan you ready to go? " Malayah broke me out of my thoughts

"Yeah let's go" I paid the bill and we went to the car. We spent the whole day with Jaden, he was quiet for a while but once he opened up to Malayah they wouldn't stop talking. I had Jaden for the weekend since it was Father's Day weekend. I planned on having a small bbq since phor,London, and Josiah are  flying in tomorrow plus my family been bothering me on when they will see Malayah again.

Once we got to the house It was still early so we decided to shower then chill and watch movies. We were watching Incredibles 2 Malayah and Jaden debated the whole movie which one was the best.
By the time the movie went off Jaden was sleep. I tapped him
"Come on man you tired, go to sleep so you can be up tomorrow"

"Goodnight dad" He leaned over giving Malayah a hug "Goodnight Layah"

This was beyond me "Man if I would've knew any better I would think you tryna take my girl from me" He laughed and ran off to his room

Malayah laughed "Don't be a hater"

I went into the kitchen and pour me a glass of Hennessy straight, with the stress I been under I deserved the whole bottle straight.

Malayah came in the kitchen and hugged me. I was surprised because lately she has been quiet and stand offish with me

"What's really wrong, I'm not tryna hear no bullshit about how you will be okay, or how you don't want me worrying"

I sighed.

"I got some big moves coming up next month and it can either go good or bad. I need to stay stress free in order to get it done. I know you're probably tired of me leaving at night and having to keep shit a secret but for the safety of you and my family"

She was silent for a minute. "I'm moving here to Chicago with you"

"What? You sure just last week it was a big problem"
I was kinda happy though. I'll be able to run my business without the stress of having to make sure nobody fucks with her while I'm gone.

"It took a lot of thinking, London only supports the decision but I know it's because she wants to move soon probably with phor I don't know. But my biggest decision came from a little research. I have to pull a few strings and I should be able to start my business" She pulled out her phone I guess to show me some places she had been looking up to afford.

"I want you to focus on just moving here, once you settled I can have you working at the shop with me in no time. Quick and easy money"

"I guess that's not too bad..I'm just so happy that Jaden likes me." She smiled

"My whole family likes you. Now it's time for me to meet your family specifically your parents " she rolled her eyes

"Nah it's not really important to meet my parents Ryan I told you before... let's just change the subject"  she went into the room

LONDON~

"Are you listening to me?" I was having a deep conversation with Phor and with me having to keep repeating myself I can tell he wasn't listening. I grabbed his phone

"Ayee come on, im working"

"I know but you can't listen to me for 5 minutes?"

"I was listening to you London, You were talking about Josiah buying shorty a house or something like that"

"I feel like he is moving way too fast. What does he know about marriage shit what does he even know about love. I dont know I feel like he needs to slow down especially since he has his internship coming up I dont want him to be overwhelmed" I wanted to smack him because he had his eyes closed now "Never fucking mind" I threw the phone at him

"Im listening to you, it seem like you need to stop babying him. Josiah grown right? So he can make grown up decisions, if he wanna marry that girl, and buy a house let him do it. You basing your decision off of what you think he doesn't know because of what your parents with through. Shit Im proud of him, about to get his degree if he do good with this internship he will have a good ass job secure. So what you nagging for?" I was done talking to him two minutes ago

"I told you never mind. Stop talking to me" I now had a attitude and was pissed that we had to be on this plane for the next three hours heading to Chicago

"Boarding group A" was called and we stood in line. I was irritated

"So you not talking to me during the whole flight?"

"Correction during the whole trip" I rolled my eyes and sat in my seat staring out the window

"Your ass a big baby you think shit supposed to run the way you want it to"

"You damn right Queen London"

he got on his phone scrolling through instagram. I was peaking out the side of my eye. A picture of Nicki popped up and he liked it

"Why do you still have her on instagram? better yet why are you liking her shit"

"Damn don't be insecure it's just a picture."

I laughed "Was it just a picture when she was about to get the both of us locked up? Oh Okay"

"Don't even trip ill block her right now"

I put my shades on "Its above me now, Dont say nothing to me"

"Fucking drama queen" I heard him mumble

3 hours later

"Yeah im waiting on my bag right now, do you think Ryan will let you use his car so you can come get me? Or I'll take a uber just send me the address to where you are"  Phor grabbed my phone out my hand

"She good Malayah, just being a brat  we will see yall later" Hanging up my phone I snatched it back from him and grabbed my bag.

"You must think im playing with you I was serious don't say nothing to me"

We got in the car heading to Phor's condo, I had never been to his house in Chicago and honestly I was excited to see it from the pictures he showed me it was beautiful. The type of condo you would see in movies he had the perfect view of downtown Chicago.

Phor took a picture of the skyline and posted it on instagram. Within five minutes of him posting it his phone starting to ring like crazy. Each time he declined the call. The next time it rang he answered it "Wassup" I couldn't hear the person on the other line "Yeah im back why wassup what do you want?" I decided to pull a him on him and grabbed the phone putting it to my ear. Once i heard Nicki Voice I hung up the phone

"So you've obviously been in touch with this bitch"  I kept his phone going through the messages "OH wow, I read the messages 'Just let me know when you land and we can link up'" I closed the phone I wanted to cry so bad because here I was putting my trust in someone again and having them fuck me over.

"Pull over" I needed to just get some air by myself

he kept driving. I grabbed the wheel of the car making him swerve "Yoo what the fuck is wrong with you I damn near hit that car"

"I DONT CARE PULL OVER NOW" Once he did I got out the car, grabbing my bag from the back seat I started to walk down the street. I heard him call my name multiple times but I didn't care to listen. I promised myself the next time someone showed me a sign that they didn't care about me I was going to listen to that sign. Once I made it a block away and didn't see his car anymore I pulled out my phone and booked me a room at the nearest hotel.

MALAYAH~

This father's day Barbecue turned out very nice. Ryan had plenty of family and they were very nice overall. He must have told his mother the best things about me because she seemed to love me this time I seen her. I was having fun but I havent heard from London and Phor said he didn't know what was wrong with her. I feel like that was some bullshit she always called me no matter what the situation is.

I felt relieved once I seen her walk in the backyard. She wasn't smiling but she also wasn't frowning. "Hey" She gave ryan a hug and walked past phor.

"Hey" she came over to me

"London as long as I knew you have never looked this way. What's up right now" She grabbed my hand pulling me into the kitchen

"Malayah don't say anything but Im pregnant"

I squealed I was so excited

"BUT im not dating phor anymore and im keeping my baby"

I lifted her shirt up to see she indeed had a small pudge

"Im three months and I want you to please keep it a secret. Dont tell Ryan im planning on moving so Phor doesn't have to be there at all. Actually I don't want him there"

I hugged her "You know I got you, no matter how far you go im coming to see you every month, unless you move to Chicago or even the suburbs that way we will be closer"

She shrugged "I don't know yet"

"Regardless I love you and im so happy"

I finally got her to smile.

"You know his ass is still talking to Nicki, she called as soon as we landed. They have been texting for a while. I just don't understand why is it always me that gets the fucked up relationships"

"Honestly London everyone has some ups and downs in their relationships. That's on him for messing up his chance with you." We went back into the backyard

"I've also been stressing about Josiah buying Bri a house and proposing to her"

I was taken back "He proposed? I knew about the house but they are getting married?"

I don't know Josiah has always been smart but this is our first time experiencing him being in love and I agree with London he is moving too fast. He has his whole life ahead of him.

Just as she was about to respond Nicki came walking into the backyard.

"Who invited you" Phor sister, Tammy spoke up

"Girl watch out, Hey yall" Nicki walked over next to Phor turning her attention to London.

I started to walk over to them until Ryan pulled me back "Let me go"

"No , not today she's just tryna fuck up the vibe"

"Aye bro she gotta go" He said

"Yeah get that bitch outta here" Tammy said

"Period" I had to pitch in

"Fine lets go baby" Nicki pulled on Phor's arm and just like a dog he followed behind her

I pulled away from Ryan "He better never come back around em or London"

"Hey girl" Tammy went over to London. Im glad that they were still cool.

"Hey hun, how is everything" they hugged eachother but once Tammy pulled back from the hug she stared at London's face

"Hmm you got that glow to you"

"What glow" London said acting surprised. This was my cue to walk off \

"Wait OH MY GOD ARE YOU..." She reached down feeling London's stomach
