BRI~

I looked in the crib as my beautiful baby girl slept peacefully. I had my baby girl as soon as Josiah got back from Las Vegas, I guess all of that stress pushed me to go into labor. I decided to name her Isla (Eye-Luh) Rose. I rubbed over her head of hair and she squirmed in her sleep. Jr. peeked into the room and came next to me looking into the crib as well. He has been so obsessed with her since the day he seen her and I love it, I knew they were going to be so close when they grow up.

I heard the front door open and close. I grabbed Jr.'s hand and went downstairs into the kitchen. I made dinner a little earlier and Josiah was devouring his plate when I came downstairs. I've never seen this look on my baby before his face showed so many signs of him being tired I felt bad.

Jr. ran up to him and hugged him "Joooo"

Josiah laughed "wassup man, you been good for your mom"

He nodded.

"Nope! guess who got in trouble at school the other day because he can't stop hitting other kids" I shook my head

Jr. looked at him and smiled "No they hit me first"

"We will talk about it later"

Jr. ran  into the front room and turned on cartoons.

I took a seat next to Josiah and noticed how he wasn't really himself right now.

"Is everything really okay?"

"Honestly I'm fine but I been thinking about what you said about being here for yall and  I think im done with the game. I got a lot of shit on the line now. You,Jr, Isla and one of my  businesses has a new partnership  which will bring us in triple amount of the money we are already making"

I smiled "That's so good baby, yes you know I really want and need you here with us plus that's so good for the company im proud of you. What's the real problem though"

"Because of my dad being such a fuck up, I don't completely know how to be a family man"

"That's what im here for, you think I knew how to be a mother when I had Jr. or knew how to be a wife when you asked me to marry you. That's what for better or for worse means. We are in this shit together and if you ask me we have been pretty good, but I know for sure as long as we have each other we will make this work."

MALAYAH~

I sat my bag down and let out a loud sigh. I was finally back at my condo in Chicago. I turned on my tv and on the news was a story about a shooting in A las Vegas mansion, which was burned down after. I cocked my head to the side because I didn't think anything about them actually burning the house down after. I left the tv on and went into my bedroom to get my clothes ready for my shower as I pulled out my clothes I seen one of Dre's jacket's that he left over here. I put all of his clothes and belongings in a garbage bag and took it to the trash chute. I didn't want any memories of him at all.

My door bell rang as soon as I locked my door.I peaked out the peephole and there was a detective at the door. I got scared and moved back away from the door until they rung my bell again. I took a deep breath and opened the door putting on a fake smile. "Hello?"

"Hi, are you Malayah Williams?"

I nodded "Yes, may I ask who you are"

He pulled out his badge "I'm detective anderson, Im just asking questions to anyone who was seen or has been associated with Andre Robinson aka Dre"

"Ohh is everything okay with him? whats going on" I said acting surprised

"May I come in and discuss it with you"

"Sure" I stepped to the side "Sorry for the mess, my kids were full of sugar earlier" I gave him a fake laugh

He laughed as well "No it's fine" he sat on the couch and I sat on the couch across from it.

"So Ms.Williams I'm not aware if you know about Mr.Robinson passing this past weekend"

I interrupted him "What! he died??" I stood up acting surprised. I was laughing on the inside though.

"Yes Ms.Williams, we've been following Dre for a few months lately and it has come to our attention that you two were close"

"Yeah we started dating but we slowly fell off I didn't know what it was about him but he just stopped talking to me" I shrugged

"Well" The detective pulled out a envelope with pictures "I hate to inform you this but we have noticed Mr.Robinson was a undercover in Dallas before coming to Chicago and while in Dallas he has a wife and two children"

I put my hand over my heart "Are you kidding me?! This is too much" I put my head in my hands and started to cry fake tears.

"Im so sorry Ms.Williams but I just have a few questions about what he said he was doing with his life and if he left any clues or trails behind"

I wiped my eyes and looked up "He didn't leave any clues around me, I barely let him come into my condo out of respect as a mother. I'm not sure what he did as a occupation I never questioned it and never really thought much to it"

He nodded and wrote something down in his notepad.

"Anything else you want to add"

I shook my head "No honestly there was nothing I really knew about him, which should have been a red flag, but I know for future references to get to know someone first"

He nodded "Yes Ms.Williams I agree. Here is my card I want you to call me if you hear anything or have any questions. Have a good night and I hope I didn't bother you too late"

I got up and escorted him to the door "It's no problem I was just about to clean up, you have a good night as well" I smiled and closed then locked my door.

I rolled my eyes and ripped up his card throwing it in the garbage. I called Ryan to see if he was going to get the kids tonight from his mom because I hated being home alone I would definitely go pick them up.

"Hello" he said as he yawned

"Hey , what are you doing?"

"About to leave the shop, I came straight here after the flight"

"Ohh I was gonna ask if you were about to get the kids but you sound tired so get some rest"

"I got so much on my mind so I think they can stay with my mom tonight I'll pick them up in the morning"

I sat there thinking for a bit "Umm you wanna come over and talk you know you can sleep here whenever you want, we can order some food and just have a good relaxing night"

"Damn you know what that does sound good, yeah I'll come over"

I smiled I didn't know if we would just jump back into our relationship but I still wanted him close to me. "Okay ouu bring me some wine please"

"Aww yeah it's one of those nights huh, you know you get loose off any type of liquor"

I laughed "You are funny but no I just want a little wine to relax"

"Nah im fucking with you, i'll be there in thirty-minutes"

I looked at the clock on my wall which read 9:50pm on it. "Okay see you later"

I quickly took a hot shower and threw on my panties and pink silk robe. I wasn't planning on anything to happen tonight but I wanted to be comfortable. I'm glad the rooms and bathrooms were cleaned before I left for Vegas, the only thing I needed to do was pick up the toys Imani and jayden left out and then I was done. I looked through the nearby restaurants and settled on a steak house nearby that delivered. Once the food came I set it in the kitchen and plopped down on my couch to watch tv.

Ryan texted me letting me know he was parking and would be on his way up. I hopped up and looked in the mirror running my fingers through my hair. "Malayah you look so good it's a shame" I said to myself and laughed. Ryan made a beat on my door and I smiled walking to it. I opened it and let him in "Hey babydaddy"

He laughed "What's up baby mama"

He handed me the wine and i looked at the bottle and then back up at him "Ouu my favorite" I went into the kitchen and grabbed two wine glasses. I handed him his and he looked at me sideways "What?"

"Do I look like a middle aged single mother, what ima do with a wine glass malayah, give me a regular cup"

I stared at him and went to grab him a regular glass cup. "Here you go, you too hood to drink out of a wine glass"

I opened the bottle and poured us both some.

"So what all have you done since we left the airport earlier" he asked

I shrugged "I went to grab a few groceries before the kids come back and a detective stopped by"

His head shot up looking at me"A detective? what did he say?"

"He asked me about Dre and basically told me he was dead, a undercover cop, married and into a lot of other bullshit but I acted surprised to everything he was telling me"

"Thats all?"

"Yeah, he gave me his card and told me to call if I had any questions or knew anything but I tore the card up and put it in the garbage"

"Good good" He sat back on the couch and I got on my phone. He was quiet for a few minutes then he grabbed my feet and started massaging them. I already knew what that meant.

I lowered my phone "We are not having sex tonight Ryan"

He laughed and continued rubbing my feet "I know im just feeling nice today"

"Okay so I want you to watch this movie with me it's scary and you know I can't watch those type of movies by myself"

He drank some of the wine "That's cool, I don't have shit to do tomorrow so im free all night"

"Yay" I clicked through the scary movies and ordered "Scary stories to tell in the dark"

In the middle of the night I woke up. We watched the movie until the middle and then started having our own conversation until we fell asleep. I slowly got up off the couch and he woke up out of his sleep, I grabbed his arm and cut the tv off "Come lay down, this couch so uncomfortable" I led him to my bedroom.

"Damn I don't think I ever seen your bedroom, every time I came to get the kids you wouldn't let me pass the door"

I smacked my teeth "Stop the lies" I cut my bedroom light on and had the curtains in my window open giving a beautiful view of downtown lights.

I laid in bed and rolled a wood and played music while he was in the bathroom taking a shower.When he came out the bathroom my eyes was glued to the towel he had wrapped around his lower body.

"That's exactly what I need right now" he grabbed the wood and lit it. I watch as the water still dripped down his body and had to shake my head. 'No Malayah get it together' I thought to myself.

Honestly I love Josiah's character he is soo laid back, smart, all about his money, and now wants to become a family man 😫

I don't blame Malayah because Ryan definitely is fine as hell ❤️😌😂😂
