I sat in silence as I watched the casket lower in the ground. Hurt was the weakest word to describe how I felt right now. I cried the whole service and now there weren't anymore tears just silence. I was glad to have London,Phor and Ryan down here with me. I told him where I was just so I could have him come get the kids, I needed to be alone for that time being. I sniffled and wiped my face as everyone started to leave. My mother knew so many people I couldn't believe it. My dad came up to me and rubbed my back "It's okay to cry, but you know she would rather see you smile" I leaned over into his chest and shed another tear. "I know, it's just going to take some time" he pulled me back so he could look in my eyes "Just know I'm here for you, I may have not been in the past but all of that has changed" I nodded "Thanks" I walked away headed towards the car. I slid in the backseat next to London and just stared at out the window. "I love you mom" I said in my head. "You wanna go home" Phor asked looking back at me. I shook my head no. "I'm going wherever y'all are going, I need something to distract me" he turned around and kept driving. We went back to the hotel where they were staying so everyone could change. I stayed downstairs and Ryan stayed by my side to whole time. "You can go change, i'll be alright" he didn't move "Nah I'm okay right here with you"

That was a month ago. I have since then connected more with my father and other family members. I walked outside the doors and felt the cold breeze hit me. I was back in Chicago just for the week I waved as I seen London pull up in my car. I smiled as I strapped jayden and imani's carseat in. I got in the driver side as she switch and got in the passenger seat. "Oh god, I missed my car" London looked in the backseat and smiled at the kids "I missed my babies" I pulled off and headed towards London's house "Okay be ready tonight by 9:30 London not 9:35" she rolled her eyes and got out "Okay mommm" I laughed and waved as I pulled off making my way to Ryan's shop, I needed to drop the kids off so I can start my hot girl weekend. I pulled up to the shop and grabbed the kids out the back. I walked inside and immediately started fuming. I seen the girl Aubrei from the club a few months ago sitting at the receptionist desk.

"Goodmorning Ms.Malayah, hello children how are you?"

I covered Jayden's ears "What the fuck are you doing here?"

she held her hands up in defense "Woah calm down, I work here" she cocked her head to the side "It's definitely not what you are thinking I contacted him asking for a job being a single mother with no job is hard. Im sure you understand"

"Save the story and no I don't understand, Im a well good single mother with my own money anyways where is Ryan?"

"Mr.Henry went home early today"

I smirked "hmm" and walked off, he had some nerve.

We got back in the car and I headed downtown to go check into our hotel room. I had a two bedroom suite for us. I wanted to make this week fun and comfortable for me and the kids and it was safe to say we had plenty of room here.

I got out of the car so it could be put in valet and went to check in. As we made our way to the top floor I got excited I always wanted a room at this hotel. I used the door key to get in and my mouth dropped at the view. "Oh my god"

"Woahhhh" Jayden said "This is where we are staying?" I nodded he ran around the room as I sat our stuff down and into the rooms. I heard a knock at the door, I jogged and opened it "Hey Ms.Diane, Thanks for being able to watch them on a such late notice" she smiled and hugged me "No problem hun you know I'm never too busy for my favorite kids" she tickled Jayden. "I'll be heading out soon just need to finish getting dressed, here is the second room key and Imani's stroller is in the room closet just in case you want to take them out for a walk in the morning, I'll probably be out all night with London" She softly pushed me in the room "I got it Malayah you go get ready to enjoy yourself we will be fine". I went into the bathroom and started my shower and played my music, London texted me and said she was going to come to the hotel since she was dressed already I told her that was fine since Diane could let her in. Once I was done with the shower I looked over the outfit I had laid out for a minute. "Damn this is the outfit that might get me killed" I thought. I knew Phor and Ryan were coming to the club but I wasn't getting dressed to impress him it was all about me tonight getting drunk and letting lose, it's been a while. I shrugged and put the outfit on, I turned around in the mirror and looked at my curves 'Damnnn' I laughed just as London came in the room looking good as hell I took my phone up and caught a picture of her as she went upstairs, I uploaded it to instagram

She looked over my outfit "Okay but you are looking even better a true hot mama" She grabbed my phone and took a picture of me "Here upload this, make that nigga go crazy when he see this" I looked at the picture and smirked "You sure im not showing too much?" she smacked her teeth "Girl stop it, you showing just enough to find you a new boo" I uploaded the picture and looked over the post before closing my phone

I said my goodbye's to the kids and me and London were on our way to the club sky11. Itwas a strip club and we had our own section for the night. Phor's section was different from ours because he came for work purposes and sat with some of the guys which is fine with me because I didn't want to see Ryan at all. Once we made it to the club It was already crowded we made our way up to our section and had all eyes on us.Men drooled over us and the females gave us stank faces. Mad asses. We had bottle girls bring us three bottles and we invited two girls up to our section they were pretty and I only link up with pretty bitches. After taking two shots me and London were now dancing. The club played 'Back dat azz up' and I started twerking, don't judge me I been in mother mood for the past year. I felt London dance behind me "Show outttt" As I glanced over I seen Phor and Ryan staring over at our section. I smiled and turned the other way so he could get a glimpse of my ass and at this point he could kiss it.After the song ended we had two strippers enter our section, I reached into my bag and pulled out multiple stacks out of 1's "Let's have some fun girls"

I looked out the window once more as I fidgeted with my fingers. Josiah came downstairs dressed in black. "Im going over there right now" I held his arm "No wait, don't go doing anything stupid Josiah " He didn't stare me in the eyes I guess he was ignoring me "I told you something was off about Nas now look at the situation we in" This morning when I went into the playground with Jr. someone let off gunshots and sped off I recognized the car,it was Nahmir's old car meaning either Nas or Nadia had it. I doubt Nadia's old ass was shooting at us.

I watched as Josiah mad a phone call "Yeah you out there now?"

"iight here I come, stay right there"

I blocked the door "Be safe please"

He sighed "This not my first time"

"You don't have to do it" I contemplated for a while "Let me do it, I got us into this so Im about to get us out of this. I know when and how to catch them slipping trust me"

He narrowed his eyes at me "Nah Bri are you stupid"

"Nah I might be crazy, delusional, thick, and that bitch but im definitely not stupid"

"You right, do your thing then the female John Wick"

"You got jokes huh" I went upstairs with him following behind me. I went into Jr. room he was in his little bed with his hands behind his head and his feet kicked up as he watched spider man. "Boy what's bills you pay and job you work"

he laughed and ran out of his room and into our room, getting in our bed and got in the middle.

"Damn man, you cockblocking tonight" Josiah said as he walked into the closet going into the safe so he could lock his gun away.

"He loves his mommy, you can sleep in the bed with us anytime" I kissed over his face.

"Mommy stop, my girlfriend only kiss me"

"GIRLFRIEND????" I was mad, which one of these little girls was liking my son

"Awww yeah gotta teach em young, he told me about her the other day when I was dropping him off, did you give her the card?" Josiah said

Jr. nodded "yes, i got one too"

I stood there shocked "When the hell did yall discuss this without me, im taking you to school tomorrow so I can see her"

"No! That's not cool mommy"

"Cool? what do you know about being cool?"

He shrugged and I shook my head "You are growing too fast on me baby" I walked into the bathroom started my shower.

"Im not a baby?"

"Well what are you?" I yelled from the bathroom

" A grown man"

Josiah laughed like the shit was really funny

I peeked my head out the bathroom door "Jr.!"

"What it do babyyy" he copied the Kahwi meme

I stared at Josiah "Stop teaching him this stuff"

RYAN~

I picked out my shoes as I got ready for a cookout at my family house. Phor was coming but London said she was running errands, which meant she was probably with Malayah. I heard my doorbell ring I walked slowly to the door but the person kept ringing it constantly. Once I got to the peephole and seen Malayah I immediately opened the door. She looked good as usual. I looked her up and down as she started talking to me, she snapped her fingers in my face "My face is up here thanks"

"My bad what did you say?"

"I said Here's the kids, I need a little time to myself you know shopping,spa day, out to eat with London the shit I usually never get to do"

"Im busy today a cookout right now and check on the shops later"

She proceeded to hand me Imani's carseat like she didn't hear what I just said

"Well Ryan too bad, I been on Mommy mode for so long, im sure you can handle them for a day or two. Everything is packed so don't worry, if you need anything call me and I'll bring it over" she hugged Jayden and leaned over to get a look at Imani's face "Bye bye mommys big girl, you finally get to be with daddy today so make sure you take as many poops as you can"

Jayden ran into the house and into the living room turning on the tv as Malayah made her way back to her car "Malayah Im not playing I got shit to do"

She walked over to the drivers side as she opened her car door "Yeah well real parents sacrifice, see I noticed you been real chill since all the responsibilities of the kids have been on me"

"Man I send you money every week for them" She slammed her car door and walk back over to me getting in my face. Oh she was bold today because the kids were right here.

"Money?? You think having money is being a good parent." She laughed "In that case I had the best parents in the world they had plenty of money but not enough time for me. You need to realize that everything you do has a consequence and with the way you have sex your consequences are your children. You need to spend time with them fuck the money, they were going to be good regardless because I'm not a broke bitch, that's where you had me fucked up oh you may have thought because your last baby mama let you off the hook and gladly took money from you, that I was going to do the same thing.. hmm you got the right idea but the wrong bitch. Sooo like I said good bye and I will come get them in a day or two" She rolled her neck and walked off hopping in her car. I could've strangled her ass right here in this driveway but I had too much respect for her and also what she said was true.

I closed the door and went into the living room sitting Imani carseat down and taking her out. I gave Jayden a hug and sat on the couch "What yall wanna do today, since it's daddy day"

"Let's go to the movies and then go eat, I wanna go see toy story 4" I nodded as my phone rang Imani started crying. It was Aubrei I answered thinking that it was something wrong.

"Hey Mr.Henry"

"I told you to call me Ryan"

"I know but as my boss I feel obligated to call you that is everything okay though are you busy"

I tried to give Imani her pacifier but she spit it out and hollered even louder.

"Im about to take my kids to the movies and go eat, you're welcomed to come"

"Ohh great my son can finally meet your son"

"Okay cool, I'll send you the address"

"Alright"

Imani stopped crying as she played with my phone

"Oh your momma got you hooked on phones huh?" She smiled and wiggled out of my arms as she started crawling towards Jayden, she snuggled under him and started playing on my phone.

I sighed I hope I wasn't making the wrong decision by inviting Aubrei.
