MALAYAH~

I eased down into the tub and let my body rest. I know I've been m.i.a but lately I haven't been myself. About a month ago I got a call from ryan and he told me that Dre wasn't making good choices. I asked Dre about what choices he has made and that only back fired on me, he turned the argument on me and was mad that Ryan called me but I mean what do you expect we will always have contact but I guess, I don't know Dre was somedays nice and cool, other days he would come home and yell at me for no reason. I only came over his house when I didn't have the kids with me, I didn't want him acting out in front of my babies at all.

I pressed play on my playlist I created and closed my eyes as I let jill scott's voice soothe the room. My phone was on dnd and I had the kids in bed and now it was my time . I took a few days off from work so I wanted to dedicate those days to Imani and Jayden.

I washed my body and drained the tub, I stepped out and dried myself off. I decided to put on a over sized shirt. I returned back to my room and laid in bed, I checked my phone and seen I had a few notifications, none that was important though. I checked my instagram and uploaded a picture I took of Imani earlier

The next morning.

I woke up to the sun beaming into my room. "Wow" I pressed the button on my remote and it closed my curtains for me. "That's better" I closed my eyes again.

"Mommy, mommy" Imani came running into my room.

"Its time to get up you said we can do anything today" Jayden and mani got in my bed and started jumping up and down. I swear these two were going to be the death of me.

"Okay okay im about to get up" I got up and went to the bathroom to get ready for whatever we were going to do today.

Once I was done and went into the kitchen the kids were already dressed and sitting at the table. I laughed because they actually looked nice usually they would put anything together and just put it on.

"Okay how does Ihop sound for breakfast?"

"Yayy" Imani screamed

"They have the best french toast"Jayden added

"Alright then let's go" we headed to the door I swung it open and Dre was on the other side as if he was about to knock.

"Whats good beautiful"

"Dre? what are you doing here?"

"I gotta business meeting coming up so i'll be gone for a few days I just wanted to stop by and see you before I go"

"Ohh we are about to go to breakfast, umm you wanna come?"

"Sure, I can meet yall there since I'll be hitting the road after"

"Okay" I nodded and locked my door. As we stood on the elevator going to the garage Imani just stared at Dre, im having a sense that she doesn't like him which I would understand she's daddy's little girl so any one trying to take on that role with being with me would be in for a lot of trouble. I got in my car and Dre got in his, trailing us to the restaurant.

We were seated and I ordered the kids food and contemplated on mine "Umm I think i'll just have a stack of blueberry pancakes and hash browns"

"You not too hungry today huh?"

"Nah my appetite has really been off lately, but what type of business will you be doing and where are you going?"

He got ready to lie I figured Dre out in the little time we have been together "I'll be back in Dallas meeting with a old boss of mine hoping he would want to collaborate with my current company"

I took a sip of my water 'Bullshit' I thought in my head.

"Well have fun" I gave him a fake smile. After we finished breakfast and said our goodbyes, I called up Josiah to get him to run some information on Dre for me but I also wanted to check on him and Bri.

"Hey J, you act like you cant call me anymore"

"Wassup sis, I just been busy tryna keep Bri calm and my family safe you know how that is"

"Yes I really understand that, Are you coming up here anytime soon?"

"Yeah I'll be there this weekend, we have to drive because Bri is too pregnant to fly we wanna do the baby shower in Chicago, since yall are there and her family is willing to fly out and meet us"

"Yesss, im so excited, I need you to do me a favor"

"Anything what is it?"

"I want you to give me the most information that you can on the guy im dating im sure Ryan told you about him"

"Uhh yeah he did, just send me the information you already know and I will look it up for you, I gotta go Bri is fussing, I'll text you"

"Alright bye"

I looked in the backseat and the kids were burried into their ipads. "Umm no Ipads for today, where do you guys want to go first"

"The zoo" Jayden said and I looked down at my brand new balenciaga's damn I wore the wrong shoes but anything for them

"Okay the zoo it is then"

RYAN~

I sat at my desk in my basement and looked over my latest sells in Dallas. Seems like shit was going good down there, I had a few more people added to the team but they were only in charge of security. Kiara came downstairs "Baby come upstairs im bored"

"I will Kiara give me like ten minutes im tryna figure some shit out once im done we can leave out"

"Okay but first how does this look is this too much or not enough" She gave me a quick look at her outfit I guess she was nervous for the baby shower and to be around everyone.

"It's just a baby shower ki you don't have to wear heels"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, there's no one there for you to impress. Im wearing what I have on right now"

"Okay fine, you know we are running late right?"

"Damn what time is it?"

"Seven"

"Damn I lost track of time, come on let's go" I put my papers back in my safe and we left out.

London and Phor decided to have the baby shower at their house.The whole time I drove there Kiara looked in the mirror fixing her makeup and hair "Yo Kiara you good, chill out" I said pulling into their building garage.

"Im fine"

"Good" we got out and headed up the elevator, once we got off you could heard the music from playing. I opened the door and was greeted by so many people

"Wassup bro" Phor dapped me up

"Shit im cooling"

he gave a head nod to Kiara and she waved "Hey"

"My boyyy" Josiah came up to me

"You think you grown man having kids and shit, congratulations"

" I been grown stop playing" I was so caught up with chilling with Phor and Josiah I forgot I even came with Kiara.

I looked over and she was sitting on the couch on her phone talking to someone.

"Wassup with ya girl why she so quiet" Josiah asked

"She scared Malayah gone put them paws on her, you know she Mike Tyson when she mad" Phor said

"Chill out on Malayah"

"Ohhh" they said in unison

"Damn you defending your girl, im here for it" Phor joked he never was serious

The rest of the party we all chilled and celebrated with Josiah and Bri. After a while the drinks started to come out and I was finally having fun. Kiara sat on my lap as she talked to some female she met probably on Bri's side of the family.

Malayah walked in "Hey yall" I didn't respond because I couldn't believe she had the audacity to bring Dre with her. I tapped Ki and told her to get up.

"Aye chill out man" Josiah said

I got up and went to the balcony "Im cool man"

Phor popped his head out of the balcony door "Yall tryna smoke?"

We laughed "You need to stop smoking so much man

"Don't judge me, I don't judge you about what what's in your cup"

I drank the rest of my Henny "This is pop, what you mean"

"Yeah iight"

"Hey yall" Malayah came out to the balcony

I turned around and looked at the skyline.

Phor and Josiah spoke to her and she decided to come stand next to me and look out over the balcony as well

"What's wrong Malayah"

"You tell me, how have you been"

" Shit, im good you?"

"Im fine" she got closer to me so Phor and Josiah couldn't hear Why did you bring her here"

"The same reason you brought that nigga here with you"

She looked away "You right"

I picked up the bottle and took a sip from it then passed it to Malayah "Hennessey still your favorite?"

"Always and forever" we laughed "You know I can out drink you" she joked

"Huhhhhh?" Phor said "Out drink Ryan?"

"Right she must be drunk bro" He flamed up his blunt

Later that night

Malayah,Phor,London and I were still on the balcony still drinking. Dre told Malayah he was leaving because of work. It was funny because he didn't come out to the balcony to tell her he just left. Kiara was still chopping it up with the same girl they were drinking as well just inside.

"So look we have that tattoo convention coming up in Las Vegas, yall all coming right"

"Of course" Phor said

"Anywhere my man go im going too" London pitched in

and I looked over at Malayah "Yeah im going, I have to represent the second shop right"

I nodded and Josiah came out "Aye where can we put these presents at"

London and Phor got up "I got you" come on. They all went inside and left me and malayah alone.

It was quiet for a while and then Malayah finally spoke up "Ryan, do you really love her?"

I didn't expect her to ask that

"Shit, I mean I got feelings for her love is a strong word it takes a while to love someone"

She turned her body towards me "Do you still love me?"

"Come on Malayah you know I do"

I looked inside and seen Kiara was already watching us.

Malayah touched my arm "That's fine because I still love you too"
