Previously on Chapter 22

"You're such a tease..." I said, pouting at him. He chuckles softly and finally attach his lips on mine. I smile into the kiss as I wrap my arms around his neck. He chuckles into the kiss and pulls me closer.

I love this guy so much... I can't imagine my life without him... I would be lost

-Camping-

Y/N P.O.V

On the 3rd day, we come up with another plan. The ones joining the battle will be leading the newborns into an open field. I chose to stay with Bella so I can help Edward to keep her safe.

Right now Edward asked Jacob to take Bella in his arms, to see if his scent can mask hers. Edward place a soft kiss on Bella's forehead. Then she walks up to Jacob, who picks her up in his arms.

"Wolf scent coming right up..." Jacob said. "Run..." Edward told him. He turns around and runs off. I just stand where I am. Seth walks over to me in his wolf form. I run my hand through his soft fur.

"Looks like it's working... I can't smell Bella's scent" I said. Edward nods his head, but I can see a frown on his lips. I let out a sigh and pat his shoulder. "You have to swallow your jealousy. We have to focus on keeping Bella safe..." I said. He just nods his head, as he gives me a small smile.

The newborn army will be arriving tomorrow. Today is the last day to get everything right. I hope we can all make it through safely.

I still can't manage to phase at will. It's getting very frustrating. If only I can figure out where I go wrong. Maybe then... I'll be able to fix it and I'll phase easier after that. But I just can't figure it out.

I feel a pair of arms snaking around my waist. I turn my head to see Seth. "When did you turn back?" I said. "Just a couple of seconds ago... I had to turn back so I can hug you. I can feel your sadness, Y/N. Do you wanna talk about it?" he said. I turn in his arms to face him.

"I'm just upset that I still can't get it right..." I said. He leans his forehead against mine. "You will, baby... I believe in you..." he said. "I just wish it'll be sooner" I said, looking down. I feel his finger on my chin as he tilt my head upward so he can look at me in the eyes.

"Don't stress it... just believe in yourself. Have faith. You need to believe... that someday you'll master it and fulfill your destiny..." he said. I smile softly at his words. He always knows how to calm me down.

"Thank you, Seth..." I said. "Heyy... you don't have to thank me. It's my job as your boyfriend to keep you calm and happy..." he said, cupping my cheeks softly as he smiles at me. I place my hands on his.

"I'm so grateful to have you in my life, Seth... you're everything I need..." I said. "And you're everything to me, Baby..." he continued. I smile softly and leans up to place a soft kiss on his lips. His hands went down to my hips, then wrap itself around my waist. I wrap my arms around his neck. I tilt my head slightly and deepen the kiss.

He pulls away from the kiss, and place another kiss on my forehead. Then he pulls back slightly and stare into my eyes. "I love you, baby..." he said. I smile and peck his lips. Then I nudge his nose with mine, earning a chuckle from him.

"I love you too, Seth... thank you for always being there for me..." I said. He smiles softly at me. "Of course, baby... there's no other place I'd rather be than by your side..." he said.

Time-skip

It's now night time. I stare at Bella as she shiver from the cold. I'm quite cold as well. But I didn't shiver as much as she have.

"I'm sorry... I should have choose a lower place..." Edward said. "I'm okay..." she said. "I'm sorry, Bel. I couldn't do much for you... I don't understand why... but I'm feeling cold too..." I said. Edward turns his head to look at me.

He scan my face and notice the tip of my nose have turned slightly pink. "Yeah...it doesn't make any sense... you're supposed to be a hybrid. Why would you feel cold? Unless... you still have human blood in you" Edward suddenly said. "Oh what? I'm half-human and half-hybrid?" I said, looking at him in confusion. He shrugs his shoulders. "That's the only way to explain your situation..." he said. I frown at his words, then sneeze softly.

"Are you okay, Y/N?" Bella asked, turning to look at me. "You shouldn't worry about me, Bella... I'm not shivering as much as you..." I said. "I'm going to be okay..." she said, smiling weakly at me.

"What can I do?" Edward said. I turn to look at him. He must have read my thought, because he is giving me a look as if telling me he don't like the idea. I let out a sigh, and hug the blanket closer to my body.

Seth P.O.V

I'm currently on a patrol with Jacob. But I can hear Y/N's teeth chattering due to the cold. I turn to look at Jacob.

Why is she feeling cold? She have shifter blood in her vein. She's also a half vampire... so the cold shouldn't be bothering her... I said, talking to him through my mind. He turns his head to look at me. This could mean she's still half-human... he said. Half-human and half-hybrid? Is that possible? I said, in confusion. There are no better explanation than that... he said. I nod my head in agreement.

I keep hearing her teeth chattering. Then I can hear her sneezing. Alright... I can't do this anymore... I'm going to her or she's going to be sick... I said. Okay... do what you want... he said. I turn and run towards their tent.

Y/N P.O.V

The tent opens to reveal Seth. He looks at me with a worried look on his face. He must've heard my teeth chattering and sneeze.

He turns to look at Edward. "I'm sorry for intruding. But I can't keep calm knowing Y/N is feeling cold. I also heard her sneeze... I don't want her to her sick. So... if it's okay... can I?" He said gesturing towards me with his head, as he looks at Edward expectantly. Edward just nods his head, making Seth smile.

He crawl next to me. "Come here, baby..." he said. I instantly moves closer to him. He wraps his arms around my waist, pulling me closer. I lean my head against his chest, relaxing in his embrace as I can finally feel warmth.

The tent opens again to reveal Jacob. "I can't sleep with all those teeth chattering going on..." he said. Edward looks at Bella, then turns to look at him. "Forget it..." he said. "She might need her toes..." he said.

Jacob leans forward and Edward holds him back. "Get your hands off me..." Jacob said, glaring at him. "Keep your hands off her" Edward said, glaring back. "Don't... fight..." Bella said, through her chattering teeth.

"Just admit it... I am hotter than you..." Jacob said. I let out a sigh as those two keep fighting. Can't they just get along for once! Especially in a situation like this.

Seth let out a groan of annoyance. "Come on, guys... they have been through a hard time. Bella with that red-haired bloodsucker targeting her... and you know how much frustration Y/N's in... so pipe dow and let them rest... because if you two keep fighting and make her feel restless... I'll make you guys regret it" Seth said, glaring at them while still caressing my head softly trying his best to keep me relax.

Edward knows from Bella how frustrated I was feeling yesterday, for not being able to control my Shifter blood. How much difficulties I went through in trying to phase at will. Along with the fact that I had a mental breakdown because of it.

"If she's sick, it's on you..." Jacob said. Edward looks defeated and nod his head. Jacob gets inside the bed and Bella quickly moves closer to him.

"Woah... you're freezing, Bella. just relax... you'll warm up soon" he said. Then he looks at Edward. "Faster if you take your clothes off..." he said again, smirking at him.

"Aish! Just shut up, Jake! Let them rest!" Seth said, smacking his head. Jacob winced and rub his sore head. I let out a soft giggle. This is the first time I've seen Seth acting this way. Seth looks down at me and smiles, looking as if he's glad that I'm doing okay now.

I let out a soft yawn and snuggle closer to Seth, with my head against his chest. His heartbeat being my source of comfort in this messed up situation.

He holds me tighter in his arms. I can feel a soft kiss on the side of my head. "Sleep well, baby... I've got you..." he said in a soft voice. I close my eyes and let myself drift off into a peaceful slumber.
