Previously on Chapter 4

It's quite a miracle that these three boys even survived the battle, since there's an Lower Rank demon in that mountain. Either they're lucky... or they're high in spirit that they refused to give up. But I'm proud of them nonetheless.

-The Training Begins-

Y/N P.O.V

Kamado have recovered quite fast. So today, he will be starting with his training. I lead him to the room where he'd be training. I slide the door open and gesture him to head inside. I enter the room after him after sliding the door close.

I cross my arms across my chest, leaning my back against the wall as Kanzaki explains what he would be doing during the training. Kamado raises his hand, as if wanting to ask something. Kanzaki nods her head, granting him the permission to speak.

"I thought, L/N-San is the one who's in-charged with me. Shouldn't she be the one to train me?" He asked, earning a smack on the head by Kanzaki. He winced and hold his head in pain.

"L/N-Sama is busy with other things! Be grateful that she put that all aside to accompany you. She's only here to observe not to train you! Can't you be more respectful towards the Hashira's!" She said, angrily.

"S-Sorry..." he said, lowering his head. I let out a sigh and pulls myself away from the wall. I make my way to stand in front of Kamado. He lift his head to look at me.

"You want me to train you?" I asked. His eyes lit up at what I said. He nods his head eagerly. I give him a small smile. "Alright. But don't expect me to go easy on you" I said.

"But, Y/N-Sama... don't you have tasks to do?" Kanzaki said. I turn my head to look at her as she stares at me with a concern look. I lift my hand, gently placing it on top of her head.

"I appreciate your concern. But the tasks given to me are not so important. They're just some simple errands. I can do them later" I said, ruffling her hair gently. She let out a sigh and nod her head. I turn my head to look at Kamado. "I'll train you on combat" I said. He grins happily and nod his head.

"You're doom, Kamado-Kun... L/N-Sama is one of the strongest Hashira when it comes to combat" Kanzaki said, making Kamado's face turns pale. I just let out a chuckle at his reaction. I walk towards the center of the room. I gesture him to do the same. He walks forward until he's standing in front of me.

"You'll do the offense. I'll do defense. Try to knock me down and you'll win" I said, placing my hands behind my back. I turn my head to look at Naho. "Can you go and fetch him a bokken sword" I said. She quickly rushes off to grab what I had asked.

She returns and hands it to Kamado. He take it from her and turn to look at me, staring at me with a confused gaze. I raise an eyebrow at the way he's looking at me.

"Is there a problem?" I asked, tilting my head. His gaze turns from confused to worry. He lower his gaze a little. I realize that he's worried because I'm empty handed. I let out a chuckle and shake my head. "Don't worry about me. I appreciate your concern though. Go on... don't hold back" I said.

Tanjiro P.O.V

Is it really okay for me to attack her when she's empty handed. I mean, sure... she's a half-demon. But she'd still get hurt if I hit her with this bokken.

I stare at her worriedly. She just smiles reassuringly at me. I let out a sigh and take a deep breath. Hopefully, I won't hurt her too badly. I take a battle stance and lunges at her. I swing the bokken. The bokken is about to hit her. But at the last seconds, she vanished. I gasped as I stare at the spot she previously stood.

"Good try~" someone said in a gleeful voice. I let out a shriek and stumbles away, falling on my butt. I stare at L/N-San wide-eyed. "But not good enough" she said, with her hands still behind her back.

"W-Wow... I didn't even see your movements..." I said, staring at her in shock. I hear a laugh and turn my head to look at Kanzaki. She covers her mouth as she laughs at me.

"I told you so... L/N-Sama is the strongest because she's the fastest. It's almost impossible to catch her" she said. I gulp at what she said and turn to look at L/N-San. So she is that strong?

"Do you wanna try again? Or do you wanna start with the basics with Kanao-Chan..." L/N-San asked me. I turn my head to look at the girl who keeps silent most of the time. I bit my lips and lower my head.

"The basic please..." I said. I feel a hand on my shoulder, making me turn my head to look at L/N-San. She offers me a small smile. She turn around and walks away. I just watch her retreating figure as she walks out of the room.

She's amazing...

Y/N P.O.V

I walk around the premises, doing my errands to help Oyakata-Sama make sure the house is in proper order. So that's what I've been doing after the mini duel I have with Kamado.

I turn around the corner only to bump into a firm chest. I look up to see it's Shinazugawa. He glares at angrily as soon as he realize it's me.

"Just because everyone trusts you now... doesn't mean I will. Now that you revealed your true nature to everyone. I will easily see you as the enemy if you make just one wrong move!" He said, glaring at me. He walks passed me, purposely bumping his shoulder with mine harshly. I wince in pain at his action.

I turn my head to look over my shoulder as he keeps on walking without stopping nor looking back. I let out a sigh and run my hand through my hair. I should have known that even though some may be able to accept the fact that I'm a half-demon, there will still be people who hates me for what I am. But I'm kinda used to it now. It's basically what I had been through as a child. Even so... it still hurts.
