Previously on Chapter 3

I turn my head to look outside the window and the sky. "Mama... wish me luck" I said. I can almost feel her smile as she assures me she'd pray for the best for me. I take a deep breath and turn around, making my way out of my room. And so... the journey begins...

-Change Of Plans-

Y/N P.O.V

I'm suppose to be going on a mission with Tanjiro and his little sister to kill off some demons. But... on the last minutes, there's a little change of plans. It turns out when Tanjiro arrived here, he's injured quite badly after his last battle in the mountain. So he needs to stay here a little longer to recover and do some training once he's better.

I've packed and everything... but oh well, can't blame him for needing to rest. He's a human after all because unlike me who's a half-demon, he needs time to recover from his injuries. So, this means the journey is postponed until Tanjiro is fit enough to go on missions.

I make my way to the clinic, after placing my bag back in my room. I hear a distinct sound of screaming coming from the room. I furrow my eyebrow at the sound as I keep walking.

I enter the clinic to see a boy with blond hair. He's the one who's making all those noises. He's whining about not wanting to drink the medicine. I let out a sigh and shake my head. Kanzaki is scolding him to drink the medicine.

"You shouldn't be so stubborn. Don't you wanna feel better?" I said, as I make my way further into the clinic. My comment earns their attention, making all of them turn to look at me. I just ignore the others' stare and focus on the blond boy.

Kanzaki gasp at the sight of me. "L/N-Sama... I'm sorry that you have to witness this. This boy is so stubborn. He always refuse to drink his medicine" Kanzaki said, bowing at me. I notice her sneaking a glare at the boys constant wailing. I just smile softly and lift my hand. I gently pat her shoulder, gesturing her to stand straight.

"It's alright, Kanzaki... you don't have to bow at me" I said. She lift her head to look at me. I give her a soft smile.

"Of course I have to. You're an honorable member of the Hashira" she said. I hear a gasp coming from the blond boy. I turn my head to look at him. He points his hands at me which looks weirdly small.

"H-Hashira!! You look like you're my age!" He said. I tilt my head slightly as I stare at him. Kanzaki looks annoyed by his comment and bonk him in the head. He wince at her action and rub his head, whimpering a little. "What?? I was just shocked" he said.

"That's still rude, you idiot!" She said. I gently pat her shoulder, motioning her to calm down. She turn to look at me, pouting. I place my hand on her head, ruffling her hair.

"Your name is Agatsuma Zenitsu, right?" I said. He nods his head as I try to know his name. I hum softly and nod my head. "I look like I'm your age? Can you tell me how old you are?" I asked, tilting my head slightly. He blushes as he stares at me.

"I... I'm 16 years old" he said. I hear a scoff coming from  Kanzaki. Agatsuma turn to look at her while raising his left eyebrow. "What?" He asked, staring at her with a confused expression.

"L/N-Sama is 15 years old" she said. Agatsuma's eyes widened as he snaps his head towards me in shock. "She's younger than you, dummy" she added, making his jaw dropped.

"WHAAATTT????" He yelled out, making me flinched at his outburst. He turn his head to look at me as he starts to stammer out of shock. "Y-Y-Y-You're 15??? And you're already a Hashira??" He said. I just nod my head at what he said, smiling awkwardly.

"Enough with that! Don't bother L/N-Sama and drink your medicine!!" Kanzaki yelled out, while pulling onto his ear. I let out a nervous chuckle at their interaction. Kanzaki is taking her job as the medic a little too seriously. I let out a sigh and gently grab her hand, pulling it away from Agatsuma's ear.

"Now now... that's not a way to treat your patient" I said. I turn to look at Agatsuma and grab the mug from the table. I take a seat on the edge of the bed. "Come... I'll help you drink it" I said. He blushes at my action. But he scoots closer and starts sipping on the medicinal drink. I can see the sweat forming on the side of his head. The medicine must have tasted so bitter.

"See that wasn't so hard..." I said, once he finished the whole drink. I hand the empty mug to Kanzaki. She scoff as Agatsuma keeps staring at me with a blush on both of his cheeks.

I turn my head to look at Kamado. "What about you? Do you feel any better?" I asked. He just smiles at me and nod his head. I hum softly while nodding my head. I stand up and stretch my arms above my head. "Hurry up and get better. We can start training after. Understand?" I said.

"Yeah... thank you, L/N-San..." he said. I just smile at him and turn to look at the third one in the room. I raise an eyebrow as I notice he's wearing a boar mask.

"So... what happened to him?" I asked, gesturing towards the boy. Kamado explains that while battling against the demon in the mountain, the boy whom I know is called Hashibira Inosuke faced a strong demon. He got his vocal cord damaged in the process.

"Rest well... all three of you. Hurry up and get better" I said. Agatsuma and Kamado said 'yes' simultaneously. While Hashibira just gives me a thumbs up. His throat must have hurting him so much.

It's quite a miracle that these three boys even survived the battle, since there's an Lower Rank demon in that mountain. Either they're lucky... or they're high in spirit that they refused to give up. But I'm proud of them nonetheless.
