Previously on Chapter 20

Kanroji-San gently places her hand on my shoulder. I turn my head to look at her. "You have to stay with her. It's clear that she's having a hard time with herself... she's going to need you more than anything now" she said. I just smile at what she said and nod my head. Of course... I'll always be with her.

-What's Going On?-

Y/N P.O.V

I slowly open my eyes, realizing that I'm back the clinic. I furrow my eyebrow in confusion. I hear a light snore near me. I turn my head to the side and notice Tanjiro who's asleep while sitting on a couch. I hear someone breathing on another side of me, so turn my head and make eye contact with a pair of pink eyes.

"Nezuko-Chan..." I said. She closes her eyes, seemingly smiling at me. I lift my hand and place it on her head, as I gently caress her hair. She gently grab my hand and rub her cheek against it, which makes me giggle softly. She's just so cute. I hear Tanjiro moves a little and turn my head to look at him, noticing he have woken up.

"Y/N... you're awake..." he said, as he sits straighter. He moves his chair closer to me. He gently take my hand in his and starts caressing my knuckles. "How're you feeling, Y/N?" He asked.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, staring at him in confusion. "I feel fine..." I said. The look in his eyes lets me know that I wasn't. "Wait... did something happened to me?" I asked.

"What was the last thing you remember?" He asked. I just furrowed my eyebrow as I turn my head away from him. I try to think. What did happened?

"Weren't we training? And you were resting on my lap?" I asked. Tanjiro frowns at what I said. I stare at him in confusion. "W-What? Did... did something else happen to me?" I said.

"You're suddenly went into daze and asked me to get ip. You ran off without hearing me when I asked you to stop and come back. I found you by the lake... both of your eyes were empty, Y/N. I got so worried. I did managed to snap you out. Then you started crying..." he said.

Kill them all... a voice echoed in my head. I remember hearing that voice before my memories becomes a void. I bit my lips as I turn my head to stare at the ceiling. I can't pinpoint who that voice belonged to no matter how hard I tried to think.

"I heard voices..." I said. I turn my head to look at Tanjiro who looks confused. "In my head..." I added. My whole body tensed up as I try to recall what I heard.

"What did the voice said?" He asked. I feel tears starting to build up in my eyes. I move to sit up. Tanjiro quickly gets up and take a seat on the edge of the bed. I scoot near him and bury my face onto the crook of his neck.

"It asked me to kill everyone... including you..." I said. I pull away slightly to look at Tanjiro. He stares at me with his eyes wide open. "I don't want to hurt anyone... but the voice, it's luring me in. It's too powerful that I can feel myself getting pulled in. I-I'm scared, T-Tanjiro" I said.

"There's nothing to be scared of. I'm here... and I'll stop it from happening" he said, cupping the side of the cheek. I place my hand on top of his, nuzzling my cheek against his palm. His palm feels rough and heavily calloused. But it still feels warm. I can feel myself calming down by his comforting words.

"Promise?" I said, in a hushed voice. Tanjiro nods his head, leaning closer to place his forehead against mine. I smile softly at him.

"Y/N... I love you" he said. My heart skips a beat at what he said. I pull away a little to look at him. He smile softly at me. "I mean what I said, Y/N... I truly love you..." he said.

"I... I love you too, Tanjiro..." I said. He smiles brightly at me. He moves closer and places his lips against mine. I close my eyes, gently kissing him back. His finger gently brush through my hair.

I hear a protest and pulls away from Tanjiro. I turn my head to see Nezuko flailing her hands around. I let out a giggle and open my arms for her. She rushes towards me and place herself on my lap.

"Nezuko... that's my girlfriend. Do you mind giving her back?" Tanjiro said, while placing his hands on his hips. Nezuko turns to look at him and shakes her head. She wraps her arms around my neck, possessively. "Nezuko!" Tanjiro whined.

I shake my head and let out a giggle as the Kamado siblings' starts arguing. Well, Tanjiro is... while Nezuko just lets out muffled sounds due to the bamboo muzzle on her mouth. I just continue to play with Nezuko's hair as Tanjiro starts to sulk because I'm giving attention to his little sister, and nod him.

Nezuko starts nuzzling herself against my chest. I let out a soft giggle as I run my hand through her hair. Tanjiro take a seat next to me, placing his head on my shoulder. I just giggle softly at his obvious jealousy.

Nezuko notices her brother's head on my shoulder and starts to push his head, wanting my attention to only be on her. "Nezuko!!" Tanjiro whined. Nezuko just keeps letting out muffled noises.

"Settle down, both of you..." I said, softly while trying not to laugh at these two. They finally stops and turn to look at me. I let out a sigh. "Nezuko can sit on my lap, while Tanjiro sits next to me... we can all cuddle, okay?" I said. They turn to look at each other before nodding their heads. I let out a sigh of relief because they actually agreed with my suggestion. Goodness... just what did I get myself into?
