Hannah's POV
It was break time, and I left english. I didn't like it much, it was always just so boring. I followed Ash down the stairs, before making a left turn towards the library. "Where you going?" Ash asks. "Oh, just need to study up on something" I smile. The real reason was that Lewis had asked me to come meet him there.
Opening the doors, I glance around until I spot Lewis behind one of the bookshelves. Heading over to him, he smiles anxiously when he sees me. "Hey Lewis, what's up?" I smile, leaning casually against one of the bookshelves. "Not much. Come here" he gestures over to the bookshelves right in the corner. I follow him curiously, wondering what he wanted.
He flicks his hand at the seats in the corner, and I sit down on one. He sits next to me, awkwardly shuffling and fiddling with his glasses. "What's wrong Lewis?" I ask. He takes his glasses off, which make him look unbaringly cute. "I fell out with Ridge so he won't be bothering me anymore" he murmurs, looking down. "So?" I sigh impatiently. "So, uh...we're alone now" he says simply.
"Oh" was my response.
Last time we had been alone in the library, we had come so close to kissing. But Ridge turned up out of nowhere, and just stood there like a loon, waiting for Lewis. Now we were alone...
His hands move to cradle my cheeks, and I meet his adorable brown eyes. I gently move forward, and our lips meet in the middle. After a few seconds, we pull away. It was a simple kiss, but it was sweet, and a crimson blush heats up my cheeks. I smile shyly at the now flushing boy, and he smiles back, putting his glasses back on.
"We better be going back. People might be wondering where we are" I say quietly, glancing round to see if anyone noticed. No one seemed to have. "Alright. Um, see you here again tommorow at break?" he suggests, running his hands through his brown hair, and standing up as I do. "Sure" I grin, and he blushes again. I lean forward and hug him, and he wraps his arms around me. Pulling away, we walk out of the library.
Sjin's POV
Minty was in the dining room at break, and I kept staring at her. I didn't know until Sips told me I was. Lewis returned to the table, looking slightly flushed, followed by a flustered looking Hannah. No prizes for guessing why. It was obvious Lewis had decided to finally strap on a pair and kiss her. Then again, I couldn't be a hypocrite. I wanted to go up to Minty and ask her out, but I was too shy.
"So, lover boy, you gonna ask Minty out then?" Sips smirks. He always seemed to read my mind, which wasn't exactly the best. I shake my head furiously. "No! Well, n-not yet at least..." I stammer weakly, listening to some of the boys wolf whistle. This catches the girls attention, and I watch Hannah turning beetroot red, thinking Lewis had told us what had happened. "C'mon Sjin, go ask her out! You can tell she likes you" Martyn grins from across the table. Even the usually quiet blonde haired boy was joining in. "Yeah, all you have to do is go over there and say 'Hey, wanna go out?'" Lewis smirks.
"Oh you'd know all about that, wouldn't you silk shirt? Yeah, Sjin, go ask silk shirt for some dating advice." Sips grins, making Lewis go red. At that moment, break ends and the girls get up to leave. As Minty passes my table, she says quietly, "Hey Sjin". "Hey Mints" I smile back, rather smoothly I was proud to admit. The whole table erupts into whistles and I blush fiercely. "Shut up!" I hiss, but I can't hide the smile on my face. Sips looks happier than I do. "Glad to see you finally getting yourself a girl" he laughs. "We're not going out!" I whine. "Yet" Strippin says from across the table with a sly wink, which makes all of the table laugh as we begin to leave.
Tato's POV
Coming back from break, I bump into Ashley on the way down the corridor. "Oh, hey Ash" I smile, nervously twitching my glasses. "Oh...uh...h-hey Tato" she stammers, blushing. I frown slightly-did she like me? "Where you going?" I ask, trying to make conversation. "Oh, uh, drama. Why?" she asks. "Oh, just curious." I smile, feeling a little awkward. "What about you?" she stutters, hand automatically going up to fix her bun. "Oh, I'm off to resistant" I smile, before making my excuses.
"Got to go now, see you later?" I add. "Sure!" she agrees enthusiastically, before we leave. There was no way someone like Ash had a crush on me. I mean, I was a nerd! But still...
I finally get to class, and meet up with Jerome and Mitch. "Hey guys" I smile, setting my bag down and heading over to the door to get an apron. "Hey guys? I think...I think Ash likes me" I say quietly, blushing myself. Jerome and Mitch stare at me before bursting into laughter. Why were they laughing? Did they think the same I did, that there was no way I had a chance with her?
"Really? How long did it take you to figure it out?" Mitch chuckles after they've stopped cracking up. "What do you mean?" I frown. "It was so obvious, c'mon!" Jerome laughs. "Oh" I giggle. I guess I had been missing all the really obvious signs. "What do I do now? I mean, do I ask her out or something?" I ask. "I dunno, your call" Mitch shrugs. "Helpful" I huff and they just laugh again.
Note: Aww, romantic <3 now...romantic Tidgedog? NOPE
Tia's POV
It was lunch time again, and I cue up for dinner, only for Ridge to push in front of again. "For Notch's sake!" I snap. He just sneers at me. I glower at him behind his back. "You're annoying" I huff. "I know" he grins. "Go away" I whine and he just snickers at me. "Thought you wanted to be my friend?" he smirks. "When did I say that?" I blurt out, and his smile fades. I instantly regret it. "Why, do you want to be?" I ask. He just shrugs, turning away from me. "Hey, listen to me!" I snap. No answer.
"Notch's sake, Ridge, if you want me to be your friend, I'll be your friend" I sigh. "I never said I did" he murmurs. "Then what's the silent treatment for?" I ask with a frown. "Your voice annoys me" he says plainly. "Your face annoys me" I huff. "Why, 'cause it's so perfect?" he grins. "No" I snap a little too quickly and he winks at me. "Get me a muffin again for pushing in" I say after a while of silence. "Make me" he retorts. So I punch him on the arm, and when that fails to have any effect, I kick him sharply in the shin. No effect. I huff.
So I reach my leg up and kick him where it hurts.
"Asshole!" he snaps, backing away from me and out of the line. I slide up to where he stood, not allowing him to get back in, and I smirk when he literally snarls at me, and leaves, muttering curses under his breath and glaring at me with enough hatred to set me on fire. I only smirk in his general direction, my chin up. He deserved that.
Note: </3 :p
Ridgedog's POV
What a little...I kept huffing involuntarily and kept turning curious heads my way. It still hurt, too. I glared at her across the dining room. I saw Ash look over at me and instantly recoil, but I keep glaring at her anyway. Ash nudges her, and she looks at her. She points my way, muttering something and Tia turns to see me. Her bravado falters for a second when she meets my gaze, and I sharpen my glare.
She looks away, grinning, and anger begins to boil in my veins. I'd always found it hard to control my temper, and if I wanted to I could walk over there and beat the hell out of her. But I couldn't. I don't know why, but I couldn't.
There's a vibration in my top pocket, and when I fish into my pocket I see one message from Tia. I don't read it, and slip it back into my pocket before finishing my food and storming out to the library.
I go in my usual corner, ignoring Lewis and Hannah kissing in the opposite one and take out my phone to read the message.
Hey, I'm sorry, OK? -Tia
Don't talk to me-Ridge
It takes a while, but she finally texts back.
Did I hurt you? -Tia
No -Ridge
You hate me now don't you? -Tia
Well done for pointing out the obvious -Ridge
Where are you? -Tia
Library -Ridge
Alone? -Tia
Apart from Lewis and Hannah snogging on the other side of the shelves, yes -Ridge
Ew -Tia
Moments later, Tia comes round the corner. I don't look at her, just pretend to be fiddling with my phone. "Hey, I'm sorry" she says, sitting next to me. I shuffle away from her awkwardly. "Don't be like that" she pleads. She moves next to me and I flinch from the contact. "Can I give you a hug, Oh great and powerful demigod-in-the-making?" she smiles, and a smile of my own twitches onto my cheeks without warning. "Whatever" I say stiffly, and she puts her arms around my neck, hugging me. It felt weird, to be honest. I'd never hugged anyone before, and have never had anyone hug me.
We stay there for a while, talking about our favourite books and worst books before we have to leave to go back to lesson. We leave at the same time, Lewis and Hannah throwing us a look as we exit. Looks like I had a friend again.
Note: :D Sorry for the late update, and for the short chapters, time for Duncan, Rythian and Zoey's POV next :)
