Tia's POV

The morning light breaks through the pastel blue curtains, beaming too brightly into my eyes. I squint against it, holding up my hand instinctively. The annoying ringing of the alarm clock finally finishes, and I sit up with a groan. I was not a morning person at all.

There was a groan from the bed across the other side of the room, and I remember that I had not been alone in my room last night. Ridge shifted slightly in his bed, tossing himself round and continuing to curl up in the sheets. "It's 6:30 in the morning, you've got a while yet" I murmur, trying not to disturb him too much. I'd already seen him when he'd gotten angry, and I dreaded to think what he was like in a morning. He grunts in reply, and I yawn tiredly, slipping my cold bare feet into my slippers and tugging the dressing gown off the side, wrapping it tightly around me. 

I go into the shower, tugging my uniform in with me. I shower for about half an hour, Ridge still not stirring from his bed. As I get changed into my uniform, it's around 7:00, and he's still not getting up. Leaving the shower and tossing the pile of folded pyjamas on my bed, I stalk over to him. "Get up" I command. No response. "It's 7am" I say again. He mutters something in the pillow which I don't hear.

With a light sigh, I yank the covers off him and he groans, stretching out to bring them back. Slapping his hand away, I roll him over, and he squints against the sunlight. "Get up, you lazy ass, time to get ready. You've got an hour" I tell him, walking over to my desk and switching on my laptop.

As I begin to email to my mum, he stirs behind me, and I hear the crack of his bones as he stretches. "Why do you get up so early" he groans. I shrug. "Are you going back to your own room, now?" I ask, typing furiously on the computer. "So eager to get rid of me already" he sighs, and I smile at the screen. "Thanks for letting me stay." he says, stretching again. I turn round in my swivel chair. "You're welcome. If you want, I can meet you in the library at lunch" I suggest. He must be pretty lonely now, if he had fallen out with Lewis. "Are you asking me out on a date?" he grunts, raising his eyebrows at me. 

I snort. "Don't flatter yourself, I just thought you might be lonely since you're not friends with Lewis now". "Meh. I'll be there as usual, so I guess you could swing round if you wanted to." he smirks. Was this flirting? I didn't even know. "Whatever" I say stiffly, before gesturing to the door. "You know where the door is". He huffs out a sigh and stalks towards the door. "This changes nothing" he warns, before leaving, clicking the door quietly behind him. "Sure, sure" I mutter, even though he's gone. 

About ten minutes later, I was still tapping away on my laptop, sending emails to my mum who was demanding to know how I was doing, when another message bleeped up. 

I'd rather people not know I was in your room last night, so don't go spreading it around :p-Ridge

My eyebrows furrow for a moment-how the hell did he get my email?

How did you get my email? Stalker :p and I know I'm not stupid -Tia

You sure about that last part -Ridge

Answer the question -_- -Tia

I saw you typing this morning and saw it, that's all - Ridge

Guessing those lot are asleep if you are sending messages to me -Tia

Yep. Snoring away like they usually are. Had a shower and stuff :p -Ridge

Shutting my laptop down and quietly closing the top, I couldn't help but let a small amused smile stretch onto my face. Today was going to be interesting.

Minty's POV

The first class of the day was Magic. For this, I was sat diagonal to Sjin. I kind of liked him, but he was kind of a bully to Hannah's brother Nilesy. Most of the class hadn't come into class yet, so we were alone on our table. I glance up at him and he's already looking at me with an apologetic expression. 

"Sorry for bullying Nilesy" he says quietly. I knew he was only saying this because Sips wasn't near him. "It's not me you should be apologising to" I mutter. "I've already apologised to Hannah" he smiles. The smile sends butterflies to my stomach, and I struggle to hide the blush. "Oh. OK. Well, I guess apology accepted. You need to apologise to Nilesy too" I tell him, stammering a little. He smiles and nods. "Alright, I'll talk to him at dinner" he sighs. "Thanks Sjin" I grin, and he grins back. "No problem, Mints" he responds and I finally blush, but thankfully he's looked away. 

"Minty, would ya hand the books out please" Madam Nubescu huffs, pushing the enormous pile of books across the table without waiting for a response. I stumble up out of my chair and prepare to lift the big pile. "Let me help you, Mints" Sjin's soft voice says, and his hands grasp half of the pile. I blush again and he sees. He smiles at me, ducking his head shyly before he goes to hand them out. 

I head over to Tia and Zoey's table first, to find Tia texting under the table. She quickly pushes her phone into her pocket when my shadow stretches over her. "Put your phone away before you get caught" I say quietly with a grin, pushing a text book in front of her. She just rolls her eyes and gets it out again when I leave her spot.

When I return back to my table, Sjin is already back there, along with Toby who sits next to him and Parv who sits next to me. I nod my thanks at him and he smiles back at me, making me blush again.

All through class, he kept looking at me, and I had to hide my head behind a wall of my blonde hair, which blocked my blush from being seen. Even after class, and Sips tugged him aside, he kept glancing my way and smiling when he met eyes with me, even when Sips frowned at him and tried to get his attention.

Hannah practically pulled me down the corridor. "I saw you staring at Sjin" she grinned. I just rolled my eyes at her. "Whatever." I huff. "Are you gonna ask him out?" she said a little bit too loudly-Sjin's head looks up at the sound of her voice. "Not so loud! And of course not, the boy's have to" I add with a sly smirk, before waltzing down the corridor to the next lesson.

Ridgedog's POV

In the morning, once I had left Tia's room, I silently crept back into my own room. Everyone was snoring, as usual, so I went into the shower for a short period of time, about ten minutes. I silently left, taking my laptop with me, and sat outside, emailing Tia. I could hear them stirring after a while, and got up to go back into my room, bracing myself.

Sure enough, Lewis automatically sat up. "Ridge, you're back! Where have you been?" he asked crossly, like he was scalding a child who had gotten lost in the supermarket. "Somewhere" I grunt. "Seriously Ridge, you didn't need to make a big deal out of it." Simon mumbles from under the covers. I don't respond, just grab my stuff and head towards the door.

"Where are you going now?" I hear Sips snap before I slam the door hard. I storm over to Tia's room again, then pause when I hear giggling. Of course. She must have her friends over.

Checking my watch, there was ten minutes left before 8, so I head down to the dinner room for breakfast. The dinner lady eyes me up. "You're early today" she muses. I just grunt in reply, muttering what I wanted. She dished it out and I took it silently and sat by myself. 

Students begin to file in, not that I pay any attention. After I've finished, I look up to see Tia catching my eye. She raised her eyebrow, then tilted her head in the direction of the empty seat beside me. I shake my head at her and walk off to put my dish away-I didn't need company right now, especially not from a girl. 

Lewis approaches me again, before I leave the hall. "Ridge, look, I'm sorry, OK?" he sighs. He didn't look very sincere, so I just stormed past him. I'd had enough of being lied to. I head to magic, our first class of the day.

I began to get bored waiting outside of the door. Tia was also waiting on the other side of the corridor, laughing with her friends. With a bored sigh, I take out my phone, slamming in her number to add to contacts, labelling her as "The annoying girl". 

Hi -Ridge

I wait anxiously, staring over at her. She frowns for a moment, tugging her phone swiftly out of her pocket as she gets my message, leaning away from her friends as she reads it. 

How did you get my number? -Tia

Looking up, she catches my eye and I look back down. I didn't one anyone knowing we were friends.

The teacher finally walks in and we follow her. I sit in my usual seat, and begin to text.

Lewis is trying to apologise but he doesn't mean it -Ridge

So you're not denying you're a stalker then? -Tia

I look up angrily and she smirks lightly.

Maybe you should just accept his apology-Tia

Why should I? -Ridge

You don't have to be friends with him after he apologises. Beside, it'll shut him up? -Tia

Tia stops for a moment when Minty comes over, and she lectures her on texting in class. She just smiles vaguely and begins to text again when she moves away.

Are you going to sleep back in their room? -Tia

Probably. Why, you gonna miss me? -Ridge

Hardly. You kept me awake with your snoring :p -Tia

I don't snore. -Ridge

How do you know, you were asleep? -Tia

GTG doing my work, so go away -Ridge

Make me-Tia

She puts her phone away, as do I. I kick her lightly in her other leg, not the one I kicked previously. She narrows her eyes and kicks me hard, and I glare at her. The kicking match continues, to the point where we were both rubbing our shins, wincing. 

Class was coming to an end soon, and I slip my phone out.

Just wait till I'm a demigod -Ridge 

Was it right to send her my biggest secret? I didn't have time to delete the message, since she'd already seen it.

Class ends, and I leave with a small smile on my face.
