In this AU before the Alternates Invasion Mark had Autism since his parents take him to the doctor to have checkup until the doctor told them that he was diagnosed with autism which explains why he's been quiet not even talking, his sister Sarah cares about him she helps him to interact and communicate. One time Mark is at the park playing by himself until the group of kids begin to bully him for his autism and make fun of him but then hispanic boy runs up to them who stop them from bulling Mark he told bullies to leave him alone the bullies leaves him alone and he introduced himself his name is Cesar the two became friends, they were playing together at the park they made friends with Jonah, Adam, and Evelin at a young age. Sarah joins in the group They become friends they play hide and seek and throw rocks in the lake pond and they spend times together. At school Mark draws a good art of him and Cesar which he likes it he keeps it in his room Cesar protects him from bullies who they make fun of his autism but Cesar defended him he fights bullies after finally finished fighting the bullies he stays by his side and he helps Mark to show around the environments,

Mark turns 17 and Cesar turns 18 he invites Cesar to his house to spend time have conversation since his sister Sarah works as BPS, Cesar plays guitar to sing a song to Mark to make him feel better Cesar then told Mark that he's going back home since he's ready to head home Mark waves him bye. Mark watches the TV the broadcast explains about alternates that are supernatural entities who affects people with M.A.D Mark gets worried about his own safety he calls his friend Cesar told him about the broadcast that he watch asking him he locked the doors and windows Cesar informed Mark that he did the two exchange goodbyes told Cesar to keep himself safe he hang up the call he locks all windows and doors to keep himself safe from the alternates Mark went to his room to go to sleep he writes on his notebook he went to sleep while he's sleeping he heard his friend's voice asking he had a surprise but he realized that he's not his friend but an alternate version of his friend he grabs the gun to defend himself he shoot at the alternate and he realized he's going to die, he decided to shoot himself before he's about to shoot himself he heard police sirens until the police officer arrived he shoots the alternate he was relief that he was saved the officer takes him to the police car to take him to the police station as they arrived to the station he was shocked to see his friend he was unharmed he was happy see to his friend is alright the two hugs together seeing that his friend is okay. Mark is now living with his uncle Dave he helps Cesar to support him after traumatic encounter he's feeling safe in Dave's house,

Dave went to answer the door to see Sarah who is here to see him to make sure he was safe she was happy to see Mark is alright with his friend by his side Sarah takes the two to meet the others which Mark remembers them the two joins the group to help them to investigate paranormal activities.
