{Chapter Fourty-Seven}
*Mallory*
I spun around and danced to the music before swinging around the pole, then sliding down into a split as the music ended, cheers and whistles going off all around, along with bills being thrown.
Another night at the club, which is probably where I'll be for Christmas.
I picked up what I made for the night as the lights dimmed and exit the stage to the dressing rooms.
I sighed as I sat at my vanity grabbing a vial and straw from my bag and pouring a neat line of cocaine in front of me.
I groaned as I suddenly felt my chest starting to hurt and clutched at it, my heart racing.
"Mallory, are you okay?" another showgirl, Gwen, asked.
"I-I don't know, I..." I said, starting to see black dots in my vision.
"Did you snort something?" Candy asked.
I shook my head. "N-Not yet....."
I suddenly felt myself falling and it all went black and quiet.
***
"Mal.... Mallory.... Okay, she's waking up, thank god," A familiar voice said as I suddenly started to feel my eyes open, coughing as I felt a strong smell under my nose.
I groaned as I tried sitting up, but was stopped as then something else was held up in front of me.
A glass of water.
"Slowly..." Ron said as I slowly sat up and took the water, drinking it slowly as well.
I then regained focus and saw almost everyone surrounding me in the break lounge, a blanket over me and a wet rag over my head. Ron held a small bottle of something, which I'm guessing is smelling salts or something he used to wake me up.
"What... What happened?" I groaned as I still felt a little light headed.
"We're not sure... We thought it was your supply, but Candy said you haven't taken a hit in hours," another stripper, Lauren said.
"I-I mean, I was about, too...." I said, confused.
"Well, I still called for a medic just in case," Ron said.
"No, no," I sighed, standing up. "I'm fine... Really, I... I probably just need food or water or whatever before the next set."
He sighed as then one of the bartenders, Dave, then walked in.
"Hey, there's a phone call for Mallory in the office," He said.
"The girl just fainted, have them leave a message," Ron snapped.
"Don't think I can," he said. "Its some hospital."
I frowned as I looked at Ron.
"I take it that's not your medic?" Gwen asked.
I just got up, thankfully not stumbling, and followed Dave out to the office.
I walked in and see the phone off the receiver, waiting for me. I walked over to the phone and put it to my ear.
"This is Mallory, how can I help you?" I spoke.
"Is this Mallory Sixx, correct?" the person asked.
I sighed, pursing my lips before pulling it together.
"Y-Yeah.... Yeah, that's me... Who is this? What the hell do you want?" I asked either way as I held on to the desk.
"I'm calling from Sunset General Hospital. We have your husband, Nikki Sixx, here..."
***
I sat in the waiting room of the ER, tears streaming down my face as the words played like broke record in my head.
"... He suffered a drug overdose at the Franklin Plaza Hotel... He coded for a few minutes, but was revived with adrenaline serums... He was breathing but in bad shape on arrival..."
A nearby TV displayed his face on the news as they talked about him. Paparazzi were outside wanting to get every detail, even bombarded me with questions before some nurses rescued me from the chaos and had security keep the reporters outside.
After receiving that call, I practically dropped the phone, pulled on my clothes, grabbed my things and ran out, probably blowing every stop light and even almost running someone over on the way to the hospital.
It can't be true..... P-Please God... Don't take him....
I had called the guys once I arrived to the hospital, Mick and Tommy both saying they were on their way, relieved he was alive. Vince had to stay with Skylar who was at his place, but was going to head over as soon as Sharise picks her up. I had called her as well, and she was going to try and see if she can leave Skylar with her parents and come by, but I told her not to stress and I'd keep her updated.
"Sixx," a voice suddenly called and I immediately shot up and rushed over.
"Are you his wife, Mallory?" the doctor asked.
I sniffled and nodded, not even caring that he was unaware of us being divorced. "I-Is it true, is-is he....? Please, t-tell me..."
"Your husband is very lucky, Mrs. Sixx. Paramedics were about to announce his time of death before one of them managed to revive him, they lost him for a few minutes. It took two adrenaline shots to bring him back," He said.
My eyes widen, feeling weight disappear almost instantly from my whole body. "H-He's alive!?"
"Yes, miss, he is," he assured.
I shuddered out a sob. "O-Oh my god," I sobbed, covering my mouth in shock, more tears falling as the doctor helped steady myself before I fell.
"Mrs. Sixx, he's stable now, and we're just flushing the drugs out of his system," he assured me, rubbing my back consolingly. "He'll be out cold for a while, two days at most, but he's alive and will recover."
I sniffled and took a deep breath.
"You can see him now if you want," He said.
I nodded and followed him down to where Nikki was. We soon arrived and he held the door open for me. I walked in and almost broke down at the sight.
Nikki laid unconscious on the hospital bed, tubes in his arms that were letting fluids into his body. He was pale and his eyes were sunken in and surrounded in dark circles, and a machine monitored his steady heartbeat. He also had an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose.
There was also a dark purple bruise with two dots in the middle right on his chest.
Adrenaline shots...
I cried quietly as I walked over to his bedside.
"Oh my god, Nikki," I sobbed as I collapsed onto the bed, sitting by his side crying into his abdomen as I clung to him.
"This is all my fault, I... I shouldn't have left..." I cried. "I shouldn't have left you alone... Baby, I'm so sorry....."
I clung to him, crying for who knows how long before I suddenly felt a hand on my back and look up to see Mick stood there, looking shocked.
"Mallory," he mumbled.
I sniffled as I looked back at Nikki, who was still asleep.
"It took two shots to revive him..." I whimpered. "They were already even calling time of death, he was gone for minutes..."
Mick did his best to keep himself together.
"Mick, this is- this is all my fault... If I never left him, i-if I just stayed to help him--"
"No, Mallory, stop, stop it," he said, grabbing my shoulders. "Stop it.... This isn't on you."
"Mick, I could have stayed, I-I could have helped him, I promised him I would never leave him alone...." I sobbed. "But I was so scared and... Oh god...."
He pulled me into a hug, rubbing my back.
"Nikki was in a really dark place, especially after Razz died... This isn't on you, Mallory," he said.
I just cried on his shoulder as he held me.
"I still love him.... I never stopped...." I confessed. "E-Even when I was scared, a part of me just couldn't let him go, Mick...."
He frowned sadly at me as he pulled back, his sad blue eyes looking down at me. "I know... "
"W-What if he had died thinking t-that I hated him?" I cried.
He just shook his head. "I don't think he ever thought that...."
I sniffled and clung to him as soon Tommy also arrived.
"O-Oh my god..." he said, looking like he was going to cry.
"Tommy..." I whimpered as I held my hand out to him and he walked over to me, hugging me as Mick kept an arm around me and him.
Soon Vince also arrived, along with Sharise and Heather.
Now it was just a matter of waiting for him to wake up.
