Ishimaru walked out of the school with the others. All around them was destruction. Ishimaru stepped away from the crowd and knelt down next to some rubble. He brushed aside some of the pebbles and found a school pin. Ishimaru frowned slightly but didn't say anything.

"Hey, kyoudai..." Ishimaru stood and turned around, but was shocked to see Mondo was gone. Most of his classmates had spread out to look around, but Mondo was not one of them. Ishimaru looked down at the ground, disappointed. "I suppose... I should have seen this coming... I only annoy people after all..." Ishimaru said quietly to himself.

"Ishimaru, look out!" Sakura called out. Ishimaru turned to see a bright light heading his way. Ishimaru managed to dive out of the way just in time. He coughed a little as dust surrounded him. "Ishimaru! I'm so sorry! I didn' see ya there!" Mondo yelled, footsteps and the sound of metal hitting the ground following his voice.

Ishimaru looked up to see lilac eyes staring down at him, worried. Ishimaru's arms gave out and he fell back, hitting his head. "Ishimaru! Hey, are you alrigh'?!" Mondo asked. Ishimaru opened his eyes again to see Chihiro running over. "Ishimaru-chan!" Chihiro cried. Ishimaru managed to sit up and rub his head. "I'm fine. Thank you for the concern." Ishimaru said.

Mondo stood and pulled Ishimaru to his feet. Ishimaru looked down at his clothes and frowned, seeing the dirt on his clothes. Chihiro hugged him tightly and Ishimaru returned the hug. Chihiro pulled away and smiled up at him. Ishimaru felt a smile tugging at his lips. He looked down and brushed himself off best he could before looking up to notice everyone else had left.

"Hey, how 'bout we go an' find a place to stay or something'." Mondo said. "That seems like a good idea. Ishimaru?" Chihiro looked up at the Moral Compass. Ishimaru nodded. "I agree, let us find a suitable place to live." Ishimaru said.

*No one's POV*

Chihiro got off the motorcycle and giggled as he saw Ishimaru's pale complexion. Mondo had annoyance written on his face as he tried to pry Ishimaru's arms from around his waist. "Kyoudai, let go! C'mon!" Mondo complained as he finally pried his hands off his coat.

Ishimaru slowly got off, shaking slightly. "Breaking the speed limit is against the law kyoudai." Ishimaru said. "Hey, there ain't no police aroun' to arrest me. In fact, there's nobody around at all, so I'm perfectly fine!" Mondo snapped. "Um guys, let's go inside." Chihiro interrupted. "Yes, let us go inside." Ishimaru said.

They walked up to the house and Ishimaru hesitated, his hand lingering on the doorknob. He shook his head, trying to get rid of his thoughts before opening the door. The house was the same as he remembered, only dusty. Mondo and Chihiro explored the house while Ishimaru looked at old pictures. By the time they cleaned up a bit and settled in, the sun had gone down.

"Hey Ishi, come with me." Mondo suddenly said. Ishimaru looked over at him, trying to read his face in the candlelight. Mondo had a straight face, hiding whatever he was thinking. "Um, ok Mondo." Ishimaru said.

Mondo lead him onto the roof, then lied down and motioned for him to do the same. Ishimaru lied down next to him, a small blush forming on his cheeks. "Look up." Mondo said, watching Ishimaru. Ishimaru looked up at the sky and his eyes lit up. Mondo smiled to himself then looked up at the sky. Without all the lights the sky was covered in stars. Mondo rested his head on his arms and closed his eyes, his breathing slowing down.

Ishimaru looked over at Mondo to see him sleeping. Ishimaru took off his shirt and put it over Mondo. He lied back down, his bare skin against the tiles, poking his back and making him slightly uncomfortable. Ishimaru closed his eyes and took a deep breath, but something warm covered him.

Ishimaru's eyes flew open and he saw Mondo's jacket on him. He sat up, clutching Mondo's jacket to his chest, and glanced over at him. Mondo's eyes were closed but a small smile played on his lips. Ishimaru smiled and slipped his jacket on, wrapping it around himself. Ishimaru wished he could disappear into the warmth of Mondo's jacket.

Ishimaru snuggled into his jacket and closed his eyes. He buried his nose in the jacket, breathing in Mondo's sent. Mondo sat up and pulled Ishimaru into his lap. Ishimaru blushed but stayed quiet, liking the comfortable silence between them. Mondo rested his chin on top of Ishimaru's head and sighed.

Soon, Mondo heard quiet snores coming from Ishimaru. Mondo smiled to himself and stood, Ishimaru held securely in his arms. Mondo got off the roof and put Ishimaru in his bed. He covered him with the blanket and was about to leave when something grabbed his shirt. Mondo glanced back to see Ishimaru gripping his shirt.

Mondo smiled and lied down next to him, pulling the blanket over both of them. Ishimaru cuddled closer to him and Mondo wrapped his arms around Ishimaru, pulling him closer. Ishimaru smiled in his sleep and cuddled into Mondo's chest. Mondo smiled as he fell asleep.

Chihiro watched from the doorway, a smile on his face. He was glad his closest friends were so happy together. Without a word, Chihiro closed the door and went into the other bedroom. Opening his laptop, Alter Ego's face appeared on the screen. It smiled up at him. "Ah, master! Is there anything you need?" It asked cheerfully. "Actually, I have something to tell you." Chihiro typed in. "Oh?" It asked. Chihiro smiled to himself as he told Alter Ego what he'd seen happen then of a plan he had. "Ah, I see! I will see what I can find to help!" Alter Ego said. Chihiro shut the laptop and lied down, smiling to himself as he fell asleep.
