The brunette didn't really pay much attention to the 40 something year old lady across from her who was ranting and kept nagging at her. The younger girl was too busy amending the errors made by the lady and then had to resend it to Monica before lunch break. Unfortunately, that left only 45 minutes for her to get it done. Giselle just thought that her senior should be able to finish this within 15 minutes as a piece of cake.
Giselle was frustrated but she was too fed up to explain to someone that they were being reckless and always put the blame on her when trouble came. Deep down, Monica knew that, and she had to ask Giselle to check and rectify the errors before resending it to her after the forgetful lady had wasted an hour excusing that Giselle's information was misleading.
"Are you listening?" The lady snapped and caused the other colleagues to turn their attention to their side.
Giselle quickly clicked send to Monica and she checked the time on her PC screen and was pleased she made it on time. Giselle took a stack of paper files on her forearm, walked toward the annoying lady and said with a drip of sarcasm, "I'm done, Miss Jane. I did as you told me, do it carefully and wisely! It is safe to pass them to Miss Monica without getting us in trouble."
The brunette gently put a stack of the files right on top of the piles of paper and let the old tray collapse since she knew one of the legs was bad to support the tower of papers. "I'm sorry!" Giselle gave a fake apology and ignoring the lady's rude comment, she returned to her cubicle to take her clutch and walked past the documents and papers scattered around the floor and she smiled in relief when she was leaving the office.

"Are you getting better?" Giselle was holding Drew's hands who were hugging her from behind. The brunette was peacefully looking at the view of the drizzling rain on the street, through the window at the corner of their secret room, relishing the warmth from the taller girl who was closing her eyes and facing the crook of Giselle's neck inhaling and saying dreamily, "Give me a second, Maylee. It's so reviving."
Giselle used a hand to gently caress her senior's head and hoped she would get better, since she had a migraine this morning, after a long meeting and catching up on her dateline work. "You should take a day off, Min," Giselle pouted her lips while her senior shook her head and said, "No, I don't want to miss a day to see you."
"You're silly!" Giselle scolded with a barely contained smile, and she slowly turned back to face Drew and let her senior rest her face on her shoulder before wrapping her arms around her senior to give an embrace that she liked a lot.
"Awesome!" Drew sighed comfortably and held her adorable brunette tight and earned a sweet chuckle from Giselle. "Do you wanna play a language game?"
"Do you have any hints?" Giselle grinned.
"Hmm... It is only two words, Maylee," Drew said with a hint of a smirk.
"But I don't wanna get tricked again!" Giselle huffed, but joined her senior's contagious laugh.
"You will like it, I promise!" Drew said while she gently pulled Giselle further for her to look at her and smiled softly, "You won't regret it."
"Okay," Giselle shrugged casually at her senior and waited for her gameplay again.
"This is a way that I can get you to learn Chinese fast," Drew smiled but Giselle could tell it was going to be a trick but give in anyway, "I'm quite looking forward to what fun you're making with me this time."
"I'm sorry. I went too far last time," Drew said sheepishly as Giselle's face reddened again. She used a hand to slap her senior's arm when she had a flashback to a day that Drew taught her to say 'marry me' instead of 'I love you' after they did a duet to the Chinese song in their karaoke time, since Giselle liked the music and was curious about the lyric.
She followed the music and hummed along with Drew but only knew the most 'interesting' words in the lyrics. Then she asked Drew the meaning of those three words and she got tricked instead.
"Are you ready?" Drew asked as she tilted her head a little and looked at her adorable shy girl who was pouting at her. Drew said the two words slowly for Giselle to learn.
This time Giselle trusted her senior, since she thought the words taught by Drew were adorable as she read the words without any hesitation.
"Okay." A smile was radiant on Drew's pale face. She used her right hand to cradle the brunette's left cheek who was waiting for her translation curiously.
The mirth was dancing in Drew's eyes, and her thumb gently caressed Giselle's soft skin. Her eyes eventually trailed from the brunette's light brown eyes to her pouty lips and leaned in for their lips to meet. Giselle grinned against her senior's tender lips as she wrapped her arms around Drew's waist with her eyes closed, relishing a kiss from her that was as gentle and comforting as the way she talked to her and took care of her.
The girls pulled away, and Drew cupped Giselle's face and smiled, "I think we should have more Chinese classes for you!"
"You're sneaky!" Giselle gently hit her senior's arm again with a tiny hand.
"But you did a sweet favor for me. My migraine is gone!" Drew sounded serious.
"I'm glad, but..." Giselle trailed off with a cute smirk on her lips.
"So, what can I do for you?" Drew asked and she pecked Giselle's lips.
Giselle hummed and grinned, "Take me out for dinner?"
"Oh, I was afraid you'd never ask," Drew grinned and suggested, "Should we have a salmon steak and vanilla ice cream brownies tonight?"
"Really?" Giselle's light brown eyes immediately twinkled, and Drew nodded her head in return.
"Okay! I will text my mom and tell her that I'll stay overnight at your place after our overtime'!"
"Perfect!" Drew said close to squeal and put her hands on Giselle's shoulders to turn her and push her toward the table in the secret room and said, "Let's eat! You are late to eat!"
"Okay, be patient my dear. Let me text my mom right now!" Giselle said excitedly while she was texting her mom with her phone.
"You can text her after we get back to work. Now eat." Drew quickly fed her favorite brunette and the adorable girl grinned in return as she took a bite after the girls sat on their stools.

Giselle was crying with her face buried in her folded arms for a pillow on the table in the secret room they used to spend their breaks in. She couldn't cope with the day without her senior in the workplace after such a bad time with her new supervisor again.
In the meanwhile, the door was opened, followed by Amy who seemed relieved with a sharp breath for catching the air, "Giselle, you got me worried!" She quickly walked toward Giselle's side and took a stool to join the brunette as she used an arm wrapped around Giselle and held her.
"I heard that you kicked Miss Sloth's ass just now," Amy broke the silence with a grin that looked proudly at her best friend.
Giselle scoffed, "She is getting ridiculous. She wasn't happy with what I did to her this morning. So, she is trying to get me in trouble again."
"It serves her right! I think you did a great job getting her to cry like a baby, huh?" Amy chuckled and she playfully bumped Giselle.
"I didn't even shout at her. I just explained to her. She just cried when she couldn't argue with me and said that I was an ungrateful girl," Giselle shrugged.
"Oh, dear!" Amy groaned with a facepalm while shaking her head and Giselle couldn't help but laugh a little.

"Lilah, I am full." Drew kept shaking her head at her nanny and used a hand to pat her stomach and said, "Seriously, I gained a few pounds!"
"You will lose all the pounds once you get to Melbourne," Delilah said as matter of fact and she put the fruits on the coffee table in the living room.
"I finished two bowls of rice and roti with curry chicken rice," Drew said with a burp and she quickly covered her mouth. "Pardon me."
"Probably we should get wine instead of beers later," Delilah suggested with a grin.
"Good! I'll get one for us," Drew's face lit up as her nanny gently slapped her lap and chuckled, "I'm pretty sure Amy needs to spend the night here." She quickly called her friend to arrange it.
"Ready? Let's have a camping slumber!" Amy squealed with her hands raised high with the paper bags of groceries as she returned from her grand shopping spree. "I'm sorry I'm late!" Amy put the paper bags of groceries on the table and loaded the chips and the snacks on the island of the attached kitchen in the living room.
"It's Saturday night! We'll stay up all night long with the Netflix marathon!" Amy said excitedly as she whiffed and turned to ask Delilah, "Did you cook curry chicken?"
"I really like you, Amy." Delilah giggled and said, "I will reheat the curry for you."
"That's fine! It's nice already," Amy waved Delilah off and gently tapped the taller girl using the cork to open the wine and asked, "Are you gonna join me for a round two curry chicken?"
Drew shook her head and said, "I don't think I could eat more chicken rice for months."
"Hey! I bet you'll take back your word after you have been there within a day! You're going to miss Delilah's secret recipe cooking!" Amy said while gently slapping the taller girl's arm and she turned to shoot Delilah's puppy eyes, "Can I get some recipes from you, please?"
"Sure, I like to share any recipe with my favorite girls," Delilah grinned at Amy.
"Thank you!" Amy squealed and pulled Delilah into a hug. "Zach was gonna cry after enjoying a delicious curry!"
"I bet he will ask you to marry him instead, even though he already wanted it," Delilah giggled.
"I hope so!" Amy chuckled and they pulled away. She took the plate and opened the rice cooker to scoop the rice with a scooper and sat on the stool next to the taller girl who was pouring the wine into the third flute glass.
Drew passed the glasses to her nanny and Amy, and she raised a flute and waited for them to toast with her.
"Have a safe flight tomorrow, Drew! I wish that your career and life there goes well," Amy said and the ladies toasted as she put a hand on Drew's shoulder and said, "I know Giselle will look for you when she can."
Drew nodded her head in return and Delilah held Drew's hand and said softly, "Patience is a virtue. I have faith in Giselle. She is a sweetheart for you." Delilah's eyes were watery while Drew was drinking the wine until it bottoms up as she raised the empty flute and said, "Thanks for the wishes. I got them all!"
"You can't finish it until I'm finished eating my curry chicken!" Amy whined and quickly took the bottle of wine away from Drew and earned laughter from the taller girl and nanny.
After they had spent a ladies' campout evening in the cozy living room, Amy and Delilah finally sent Drew to the airport. Even though they had shared so much fun over these few days since Delilah flew over to Drew's house after she got a call from her kiddo.
Drew couldn't express how thankful she was that her best friend was now more like her sister and that she had a nanny taking care of her and making sure she was okay. Amy would occasionally get some take out dinner to bring to her place to join them.
Every one of them understood that Drew needed to find her happiness even though she would be leaving them. Amy admitted that she would miss her best friend a lot.
Drew sold off her house to her neighbor who had been looking forward to buying it from her. And it seemed to be a dream come true after Drew hired a surveyor to quote the price which was a win-win for both sides. The house value was good, and the neighbor agreed with the price. She wasn't gonna renovate the house and would keep the flowers that Drew's late adoptive mother planted because she liked them.
However, the documentation of the housing would take a little time for Drew, and she might need to sign it from Melbourne instead since she bought the tickets there and would be leaving after two weeks. Amy gladly agreed to help Drew settle everything since she knew her best friend wouldn't come back here soon, if at all.
Of course, the ladies shared a nice group hug with a river of tears when Drew was ready to bid goodbye to them. The poor taller girl had to go to the bathroom to clean her face after such a long cry with the ladies before entering the boarding hall.
The crowds surrounded her, but music playing from the earphones and a cup of dark coffee kept Drew entertained and distracted. After an hour of relaxing in the waiting area she lined up to get on the flight. She didn't need to wait in a long queue since she bought the business class and took the last row.
When she found the pair of assigned seats, she started to tear up as she slid into the window seat that was supposed for Giselle, and the memory of their discussion about buying the flight was coming back. Drew smiled at the seat that she knew would be for herself instead since Giselle had told her that she wouldn't go to Melbourne soon. And she needed time for that.
She sighed softly and looked out at the window and smiled to herself when she remembered that Giselle would prefer to take the window seat since she enjoyed the view, especially on sunny mornings with a clear blue sky as she was flying above the beautiful clouds.
Drew always thought that no one could be as perfect as Giselle since Drew would prefer the aisle seat because she could go to the lavatory anytime instead of troubling the others. It hurt so much thinking that she finally bought tickets for them but was traveling without Giselle.
Giselle was the girl she wanted to spend her life with. However, losing her was as painful as her adoptive parents leaving her. Drew still couldn't accept she was starting over with a life that she wanted to live, but now without Giselle.
Their beautiful happiness was playing in Drew's mind like a film. The brunette's smile, her tinted pink face with a pouty lip whenever she got fooled, and her cuddly tiny body like a plush toy during their snuggle times made the tears escape from Drew's eyes again after they had dried not so long ago.
