Chapter Nineteen
"Hmm... Which of these do you think a man would be happy to get as a gift?" Giselle wondered out loud with a forefinger pressed to her pouty lips.
"Well, I don't think I can give you any better ideas about this," Drew looked at her adorable brunette apologetically with a light shrug and cluelessly scanned around the variety of similar graphic t-shirts at a men's shop once again. Drew eventually gave up and indicated the shirts with a chuckle, "I'm pretty sure you're better than me with this one."
"I dated a guy before, but it doesn't mean I know what a good gift is for a man," Giselle chuckled and gently slapped her senior's arm and said, "Besides, we are the guests for the birthday boy. So, it is different."
"Amy is all that matters for her birthday boy, and our gift for him is just a friendly blessing for him," Drew hummed and suggested, "So, The Body Shop is the only choice for us?"
"I like this plan. They should name it 'The Gift Shop' instead since most people would look for this place to get a gift if they were running out of ideas to get something," Giselle grinned and gently bumped her senior's arm.
Drew wrapped an arm around Giselle's shoulder to draw her closer and said, "But it still looks fancy and wins people's hearts."
"I agree! Probably Amy would be the person happy with this one instead of Zach!" Giselle piped in.
"And Zach would happily share the soaps with Amy," Drew said in a small voice. Giselle snorted with laughter and gently pinched Drew's face, "I never knew my senior was such a cheeky girl!"
"Says a girl who asked me to share more pornos, huh?" Drew smirked and Giselle's face effectively tinted. The brunette seemed bashful, and she quickly pinched her senior who was giggling at her.
"Are we going there, or not?" Giselle asked with pout on her lips as her voice was desperate to drop the topic.
Drew eventually stopped laughing and felt guilty about making her cute girl embarrassed. She looked at the brunette and suggested softly, "What about we get a pizza before we go to The Body Shop?"
Giselle's light brown eyes constantly lit up and she eagerly nodded her head in agreement while flashing the most generous toothy grin. It worked! Drew mentally celebrated herself and was happy she lit up her cute girl after her silly joke. Drew slipped her arm away from Giselle's shoulder and let the brunette link her arm and go to the restaurant they had planned.
Right after a nice brunch, the girls were distracted by the limited sales from the outlets in the mall. They couldn't miss a great chance to tour around the shops to get affordable clothing they liked before getting a nice gift for Zach, since they already had the idea, and they could always do that anytime they wanted.
After the girls had spent two hours checking out the clothes, they only bought a piece or two of clothing for themselves, because they would prefer to keep the money for other plans they had made. They were finally ready to get a gift for Zach before leaving the mall.
The mall was getting crowded, the noises were deafening, and the girls were having difficulty listening to each other whenever they were talking. Especially the poor brunette, she was getting upset that she couldn't hear properly when her senior was talking since she was a soft-spoken person. Giselle felt bad and didn't want Drew to keep repeating the things she had shared.
Giselle was getting desperate to know everything Drew had shared, and she tried to lean in closer and listen. The more she leaned in closer, the more Drew's voice was getting quieter. Meanwhile, Drew wrapped an arm around Giselle's petite shoulder and pecked her tiny earlobe earning a cute squeak from the brunette.
"You're so pretty today," Drew whispered near Giselle's ear with a smile and looked at the brunette's blushing face and ears.
Drew had wanted to say this to her favorite adorable girl since earlier this morning when she got into her car with a plain white t-shirt, jeans, and a pair of white sneakers. Perhaps, it was simple wear for Giselle. But for Drew, this would be one of her favorite outfits since it was exactly what she was wearing in the WhatsApp photo Drew had seen. She liked this picture of the lovely brunette very much.
Giselle's heated face was recovering, but she still couldn't hide her bashful face and grinned, "You're so sneaky!" She gently slapped her senior upper arm before burying her face in the crook of her neck and mumbled, "You're very pretty too!"
"Thank you," Drew chuckled and officially claimed a long overdue nice hug from the brunette. She missed it a lot since the day they bid goodbye to each other after Drew sent Giselle home from the trip. They didn't share a nice hug like this since they got back to work, and they had to go back to their home after work.
Drew sighed happily when she felt Giselle hugging her firmly in return. It was a sign Giselle missed it so much too. They would definitely appreciate today, and it would be a sweet excuse for Giselle to stay overnight at her house after they joined the party. Even though Giselle's parents wouldn't care, the girls would rather take baby steps for her parents to get used to it than they were close as sisterly.
After they shared a heartwarming hug as their sweet reunion in the quiet waiting area of the lift, they pulled away and the adorable brunette was grinning from ear to ear looking at her senior dreamily. Especially that pair of light brown doll-like eyes that had melted Drew.
"Do you wanna get a coffee and a croissant?" Drew asked softly, hoping to earn more sweet smiles from her favorite girl again.
"Of course!" Giselle said happily and her wide smile never disappointed Drew.
"Okay, let's go and get 'em!" Drew mirrored the same tone as the adorable brunette quickly linked her senior's arm and happily let her lead the way.
"We might go broke if we spend another hour here!" Giselle said while fastening her seatbelt in Drew's car after they had spent another two hours of shopping again after their snack time.
"So, we have to get out of here before we go spend all our money!" Drew quipped in and caressed Giselle's head before she started driving her car.
"But are we gonna get banana pies when we pass the McD drive-thru?" Giselle grinned sheepishly.
"Yea, we're going. It won't hurt to get each of us a piece of the banana pie," Drew said
"And-" Giselle eagerly piped in but Drew had answered for her, "And fries with sundae! I won't miss our favorite combo."
"Aw! You're the best, Min!" Giselle cried out happily with her hands clasped together on her chest.
"Your happy smile is my favorite all the time," Drew grinned to herself while watching the road and driving.
Drew decided to drive her car to a nearby automatic car wash to get her car cleaned after they bought the banana pies, fries, and sundae for them from the drive-thru. The place only had a few cars lining up for the machine and they were the last car waiting. It was their turn after they finished the sundae and fries and kept the banana pies for later.
The girls were listening to a nostalgic romantic song while waiting for the machine to start washing the car. Giselle took a tumbler to take a few sips of the water and she would never forget to share it with Drew. After she drank the water, she held the tumbler toward Drew and asked, "Do you want some?"
"Thanks," Drew smiled and leaned in for her to take a sip, but Giselle pulled further away from her. Drew didn't mind and complied with the direction Giselle was leading her, and she stopped when Drew was only an inch away from her face. A faint smirk played on Giselle's lips, and she slowly put down the tumbler on her lap.
Drew couldn't help but smile at those cute pouty lips before claiming them for her own. They gently nibbled each other's lips and Drew softly bit the cotton-like lower lip of Giselle, giving it a small tug before they pulled away. The brush was still washing the car, it was a sign they could take their sweet time for their brief round two, but Drew decided to lean back and took the tumbler from Giselle, and greedily drank it. She sighed in satisfaction after she drank the water and gently put it back on the cup holder.
Drew took Giselle's hand and gently pecked the back of her hand before putting it on her face and smiling at her adorable girl, "That was wonderful, thank you."
Giselle scanned around the surrounding area before leaning in and giving a wet kiss on her senior lips. She quickly leaned back in her seat and shot a wink, "It was my pleasure!"

"Oh, my God! I'm so nervous!" Amy giggled while holding a bouquet of roses on her chest while tapping her feet on the floor. The girls were hiding outside of the kitchen of the lounge where Amy planned the birthday surprise for Zach since she made the excuse to him that she might not be able to join the birthday party. But she also did a great job for Zach's other friends to team up.
"Come on, it's just a surprise and you're not going to propose to him!" Meera pointed out.
"Hey, what if I wanna propose to him?" Amy said as a matter of fact while carefully touching the roses.
"That might be a few years after silly! Come on, they already dimmed the light. It's time for the little elf to meet her charming prince!" Meera laughed while shaking her head.
"Hey! Zach is just too tall, okay!" Amy retorted while standing high, but she was still the shortest among the girls who were giggling at her.
"Hurry! The ice cream cake will melt soon!" Alisha reminded them warily while looking at the waiter who was ready to push the tray trolley with the ice cream cake on it.
"Go! Go! Go!" Meera said eagerly and gently pushed Amy for her to go.
"Fine! Fine! I'm on my way," Amy huffed nervously and gestured to the waiter to push the tray trolley out from the kitchen. When the music started playing, Giselle quickly passed the mic to Amy and gave her a thumbs up to cheer her on. The tiniest girl quickly thanked Giselle before taking the mic and singing along to the birthday song and walking out from the kitchen with an arm holding the bouquet of flowers.
The girls all followed behind giving Amy, helping her to be braver and sing out loud and be ready to give the bouquet of roses to her birthday boy. Zach was puzzled and looked around when the song was playing. It took him a few seconds to realize his tiny girlfriend was sweetly singing a birthday song while walking toward him.
The tall man smiled broadly as he quickly ran toward his girlfriend to hug her and spin her around. Amy couldn't finish singing the song but yelped with her giggles filled the whole lounge instead, and everyone started laughing at the couple's cuteness.
Zach was so happy for Amy and her friends to make this surprise, and he ordered a set of tequila and beers for the girls. But Giselle and Drew nicely decline beers since Drew was the designated driver today and Giselle wanted to be her companion. However, Zach insisted to get mocktails for them for his thankfulness.
The girls and Zach were sitting at another table away from the group for a nice chat since the girls would be off earlier than the others. They had exchanged their trip experience and the place for them to visit next.
"Are you guys finished laughing at your romantic cute girl?" Amy practically whined and the girls and Zach were laughing again.
"It's okay if they laugh, but I didn't," Zach assured before planting a kiss on Amy's cheek, while Meera and Alisha were awed at the couple's sweetness.
Drew was happy to see the lovebirds, but when she looked at Giselle, she could feel a heavy punch of guilt in her guts as though someone shook her up to open her eyes wide for her to see the problem that was coming.
The way Giselle looked at the couple was with evident longing, and this got Drew worried. Drew couldn't tell how long Giselle could be patient and wait until they could be free like a normal couple someday?
"Are you okay, Min?" A sweet voice from Giselle stopped the train of Drew's thoughts. She quickly looked at Giselle who was smiling at her sweetly but could see her eyes were showing concern.
"I'm okay, Maylee," Drew assured her as she gently squeezed Giselle's hand under the table and smiled at her.
"Umm... Okay," Giselle seemed not to be convinced but she decided not to pressure her senior. She thought for a while and asked her senior softly, "Do you want to go home? We probably can leave anytime."
Drew nodded her head in agreement, feeling grateful she could leave theunnecessary tension she had made in this place. The pair bid a nice goodbye tothe happy couple and their friends and left the lounge.
