Chapter Five
"What are your plans for the weekend?" the brunette asked with a sweet smile at her senior as they walked out of the building, the taller girl was following from behind since they had known their plan for meeting Amy on a lunch date.
Giselle had set her chestnut hair in a braid, her carnation pink short-sleeve dress deepened her pinkish fair skin, and the fabric perfectly clung to her slim curves. Especially when she bounced a little, making her cute butt slightly jiggle. That happened a lot since she seemed delighted at the idea of going out for lunch.
Drew darted her eyes at the brunette's face when she turned back to face her senior. It was no time to get embarrassed, but the taller girl silently hope that the brunette didn't find out that she was checking out her cute butt. Regardless, she brushed it off and replied with a small smile, "I will have a Korean series marathon with my mom."
"That's so nice. I will go to my aunt's house with my parents," Giselle grinned and she stopped on the pavement and waited for the traffic light to turn green before they could pass, and Drew joined next to her.
The number 60 displayed on the traffic light was a sign they had a minute for waiting and Drew looked at the cutie's pinkish small hands as she smiled to herself because she found out the brunette easily blushes whenever she gets embarrassed.
"Drew?"
The dark-hair girl swiftly looked at the cutie next to her and hummed. The brunette's smile never disappoints Drew, she indicated the green light and stated, "We can go now."
Drew only nodded, feeling bashful that she had been caught as she quickly walked and the brunette beside her followed her lead. Drew would glance back whenever they were crossing the road as she tried to slow down since the brunette was picking up her pace.
The pair reached the front of the mall across from their working place, heading in to find the Maple restaurant. They didn't need time to search the place since it was right next to the entrance of the mall.
They quickly saw their tiniest friend sitting in the middle of the restaurant to make sure they saw her. Amy was waving at them eagerly, with a wide grin like an elementary school girl happily waving at her favorite friends to join her table.
A jovial smile spread on Giselle's pretty face and happily waved at Amy in return while the taller girl behind her was smiling and a dimple dipped on her left cheek. It was a genuine smile from Drew since she was happy that she was getting better, and she was eventually able to treat Amy as a great friend like they used to be.
Giselle slipped into the seat across from Amy, and Drew took the seat which was in the middle between them. It was a pretty enjoyable view to see the new girl on the left and her adorable best friend on her right.
"So, how are you doing, cousie?" Amy asked while looking at the brunette across her.
"Yes, I'm doing great! Thanks, cousie," Giselle grinned in return, and Drew swiftly looked at the two cuties back and forth in confusion.
Amy looked at Drew as she chuckled, "Well, we shared the same surname. That count as we are related, right?" Meanwhile, the two cuties broke into laughter as Drew rolled her eyes with a chuckle after knowing the two were making fun of her.
After the trio placed their orders for the meals, the two girls in front of Drew seemed to get along and that made sense since their ages were only 2 years apart, and shared a few mutual friends.
"No way! You studied at St. Thomas High School too!" Amy beamed as she naturally placed her left hand on Drew's forearm and happily indicated to Drew with her right hand, "She is our senior!"
"Seriously?" Giselle asked with a gasp as she looked at her senior and seemed surprised and pointed out, "How come I never saw you?"
"I graduated when you were in your freshman year," Drew responded with a small smile at Giselle. "Even if you were sharing the same high school with me, you won't see me either," Drew explained jokingly as she flashed a smirk at Amy.
Amy mocked an offended gasp at Drew and lightly slapped the taller girl's forearm and argued with laughter, "Hey! You can't blame me. I was in the afternoon classes while you were in the morning classes. That makes sense, a junior would never meet their seniors, right?"
Giselle's giggle was contagious, entertained by watching the pair bickering, but never forget to nod her head at the tiniest girl in agreement.
"I bet you would know who Benson Sim is," Drew pointed out while a confident smirk still lingered on her face.
Amy's face slightly flushed, and she grinned sheepishly, "Of course, I know who he is. He was the best basketball player in high school."
"And handsome," Drew added with a shrug and Amy nodded her head eagerly as she grasped Drew's forearm, and squealed, "I agreed! He looks like Daniel Wu."
"That was what the girls said. Well, I don't think so." Drew said with furrowed eyebrows and said, "He looks like Lee Hom to me."
"Nah, I don't think so, but Lee Hom is handsome too!" Amy said dreamily.
"Let's hope Zach won't hear that," Drew joked with a chuckle.
"I don't think he would mind. He likes to see pretty girls. So, that would be fair for me too," Amy grinned sheepishly while her face was still in a faint pink.
"So, how did you meet your boyfriend?" Giselle asked with a grin as she entwined her hands together and put them on the table.
"This happened when I was working overtime and shared the same lift with him while I was leaving," Amy started as she bit her lower lips looking like a high school girl who started telling her romance story with her close friends.
As was evident in the excitement in Amy's smile, Drew felt a punch in her gut. That was what she had missed since she rarely had a chance to share the same lift with Amy when she was leaving because she seldom worked overtime in the office but instead did it at home.
Somehow, her twinkling eyes, chewing lips, and the way Amy grinned in shyness well explained that she would never fall in love with Drew like she had for Zach. She could see the passion on her best friend's face whenever she mentioned her boyfriend to them.
"Oh, you're so lucky he is a good man. I get it. It's hard for him to ask you for a coffee date since he was a stranger," Giselle said in awe with her gleaming light brown eyes. "That's so romantic. Maybe I should have taken more lift to see if I met a nice person."
Amy giggled as she gently reached her hand to Giselle's forearm and patted, "You eventually will. Just don't meet Tom."
Giselle's big round eyes almost bulged out and she cringed with shook her head, "Let's hope that's not gonna happen."
"Be careful if you're working overtime because he likes to stay there late. But I know his clock off time would be at 8 pm maximum," Amy pointed out and added, "If I had OT, I had to wait after he left from his office before I went home. I always knew the sign he left because of his creepy whistle across my office."
Amy turned to Drew and said, "I know you had reminded me not to work OT, but I don't think I could finish everything on time. Now you don't have to worry anymore because Zach is my bodyguard." She winked at Drew as the dark-haired girl smiled softly in return.
Giselle shuddered as she quickly took the fizzy drink to take a sip and said, "Tom is scary."
"Hey, it's okay. We can always walk to get our cars together," Drew assured the adorable brunette as she nodded her head at Drew in return.
"Yes, we better stick together." Giselle trailed off as she hummed for a while, her eyes looked at the table, and murmured, "But I would stay late for a bit if I needed to." She quickly turned to Amy and asked, "Mind if I am the third wheel when I stay there late?"
"We don't mind, but I might be jealous because Zach would be happy to see you," Amy joked with a smile.
"No, I can tell he only has eyes on you," Giselle assured with a grin and seemed relieved as she turned to Drew and said, "So, it shouldn't be a problem if I need to stay there late."
Drew decided to leave this question in private as she smiled and nodded her head at the brunette in return. She took her hot coffee to take a sip and she opened up her ears to listen to the two cuties' conversation.
"Do you have a boyfriend?" Amy asked.
"Yes, but we broke up after a year since we were in LDR," Giselle said and seemed cool with it.
"LDR it's hard to keep. I used to have one before but it was never gonna work," Amy sighed softly as she shifted her attention to Drew while another pair of light brown eyes were on her too. Drew was thankful she had already put the coffee on the table. She knew what would be next from the chatty girl.
"So, it is all about us two today. We should have a little Q & A from you, Drew," Amy smirked as Giselle's light brown eyes delighted and nodded in agreement with a wide grin.
"You agree too, right?" Amy grinned at Giselle with raised a hand and the brunette happily slapped a hi-five at her in return.
"I have nothing much to share," Drew admitted.
"We have never talked about this topic before since we met, but now Giselle started talking about it, I'm kind of curious about you. Do you have a boyfriend?" Amy asked and prying grew in her eyes.
"No," Drew answered truthfully.
"It can't be!" Giselle exclaimed and she seemed to be surprised and added, "You're tall and pretty! I'm pretty sure the boys will have eyes on you!"
Drew wanted to cover up her face when she felt the heat rush to her face. She wished there had been a glass of cold water to chill down. With no other option, she took a cup of her hot coffee to take a sip avoiding the awkwardness on her.
"I'm surprised either. I overheard the guys from the other room talk about you, Drew. Even the guys at Zach's place talked about you too! You are a target for the men." Amy stated while looking at Drew and hummed, "I bet you have a high standard for men."
"Are you looking for someone now?" Giselle's question caught Drew off guard. She was lucky she didn't get choked on the coffee, she put down her coffee on the table again and hoped the meals would be served on the table sooner.
"No, not at the moment," Drew quickly replied and thought it would be the best answer for her. She hoped they stopped putting the spot on her as she chuckled nervously, "Shall we switch the topic, please?"
"No," the two cuties said in unison with wide grins like a pair of twins.
In the meantime, a server was coming toward their table with a tray of food, and Drew sighed in relief, "Thank god, Q & A session to be off soon!"
"Well, we would save it for our next lunch," Amy said with a smug grin and Giselle nodded her head eagerly in return.
******
The trio had spent a longer lunch hour until 2 pm, they had been busy, and the hours passed fast. When Amy was around it was the sign of her last doc in of the day to Drew's department. Surprisingly, the two cuties were discussing something, and the voices were soft and small like whispers. It was normal for Drew since the two were soft-spoken people.
Giselle ended up happily showing two thumbs up at Amy when the shorter girl was leaving. Amy only shot a wink at Giselle and did the same at Drew and gave a wave before she left.
In the meantime, Drew's intercom rang up. She immediately knew the person was the adorable brunette across her who was looking at her and holding her intercom.
Drew picked up the phone and Giselle's voice was always sweet and soft, "Are you free now?"
Drew playfully shook her head at her junior as Giselle grinned sheepishly, "I'm sorry, I might steal one or two minutes from you."
Drew chuckled as she asked, "Do you need me to go over to your place?"
"No, I will go to your place, bye," Giselle insisted as they ended the call. Giselle took her notebook and a pen as her light brown eyes were gazing at her senior, a cute smile on her face while she briskly walked to her senior's cubicle.
"Drew, I'm sorry. I-um... I'm lost at this part again. How do you get this transaction? I'm kind of confused about when we should open a debit or credit note," Giselle's voice was small, close to whisper, as her face was looking down at the table, and felt ashamed since Drew had taught her a few times before and she even put the note in her notebook.
"It depends on the creditor or debtor side, we can make it simple and treat it as simple math," Drew pointed out as Giselle remained hung her head low, and murmured, "I wonder why I would take accounting since I'm not good at math."
"But you passed your degree," Drew stated and assured her, "You're still new, Giselle. Take your time to learn, okay? It doesn't matter how many times I have taught you. As long as you get to understand it. The accounting software is like a trick, treat it like a game since you're an expert in Geshin."
Giselle's face tinted and murmured shyly, "I'm only good in the game, but not the accounting software."
"That's totally fine, Giselle. We will get better after you get more practice," Drew assured Giselle with a smile, "Shall we?" Giselle eventually lifted her head and nodded at her senior as she quickly took the notebook and pen to be ready to take notes.
Drew tried to change the way of tutoring her junior, she suggested Giselle take her seat and let Giselle key in the data herself while she was standing next to her and teaching her.
After a demonstration of the work, the brunette was grinning ear to ear as she eagerly pressed the entered button on the keyboard and exclaimed, "It works!" She stood up abruptly as she turned to clasp both of her senior's forearms and bounced a little, "It isn't hard. It is really easy like a game. Thank you so much, Drew."
The poor dark-haired girl was like a statue, and her face was beetroot red even though there were a few layers of fabric in between the girls but the evidence of the swell of their breasts pressing each other was too good and comfy. Besides, their faces were only a breath away, and the poor taller girl couldn't breathe properly because of their closeness.
No one could be blamed since the adorable brunette's joy was overridden and she was carried away.
In a split second, the brunette opened and closed her mouth a few times like a cute fish, her face mirroring her senior's facial color. She quickly freed her hands from Drew's forearms as she took a step back and squeaked, "I'm sorry!"
Drew quickly brushed it off as she put her hands on her own lower back and replied, "It's okay."
Giselle blinked her doll-like eyes and grabbed the notebook on her chest and said once again, "Thank you. I'll get back to work." She briskly walked away and returned to her seat.
Drew sat on her seat as she gently stroked her sternum to calm down, but Giselle's nice fragrance lingering on her seat made her feel she was still around her. Drew let her eyes close and took a few deep breaths while stroking her sternum and relaxing. She opened her eyes after she got better, but she realized the brunette's head just whipped down facing the table for jotting down something.
Another hour passed, and Drew started packing up her stuff when it was clock-off time, she would always be off early on Friday since she had promised her nanny she would go home on time. However, she saw the brunette across from her and it seemed like she was not leaving.
Drew put her belongings aside as she made a call and the brunette immediately picked up the phone.
"You're leaving, aren't you?" Drew asked.
Giselle shook her head, "No, I'll stay late for tonight. Amy and Zach will walk me to my car. So, don't worry."
Drew assumed Giselle wouldn't have many things to do and she wondered, "The work I have asked you to do is not needed in a hurry. You can head off early."
"I know, but I can't sleep if I don't finish them. Hey, you should go," Giselle dismissed and waved at her senior to leave.
"Okay," Drew had to agree for the brunette's sake, she hesitate a while since she knew it might be controlling for a new friend, but fuck it. "Text me when you're leaving?" Drew asked softly and hoped the brunette was fine with that.
The brunette happily nodded her head and beamed, "Okay, I will text you when I'm leaving. It should be around 8 pm."
"That's good," Drew smiled softly at the brunette.
"Bye, have a great weekend ahead!" Giselle said and waved happily at her senior.
Drew ended the call as she carried the laptop bag and her handbag and was ready to leave. She had the urge to keep looking at the brunette, but she saved it until she walked to the door.
When she finally reached the glass door, she turned to look at the brunette one last time, and Giselle was waving at her with a cute smile.
Drew couldn't help but smile at the cutie in return and waved at her before swiping her working ID card on the access machine, opening the door, and leaving.
