Veer went and stood in front of Bani to which the guy whom she kissed earlier, saw him and left the place but not before passing a glare at Veer. While on the other hand, Bani smiled widely at Veer and he was just staring at her blankly without reciprocating her gesture.

"Hey, Veer!" She patted the seat beside her, asking him to sit there. Veer sat beside her and continued staring at her curiously. "Why are you staring at me like that?" She asked him.

"Who's that guy?" He asked back.

"He's Jayden, my classmate."

"Classmate, huh?" He asked, raising his eyebrow and Bani nodded at him cautiously as his tone of voice was different, unlike his usual self. "I saw you kissing him, Bani. Don't tell me he's just your classmate." He said and she made an 'o' with her lips.

"Obviously he's just my classmate, Veer. We had a deal between us. He helped me and I kissed him in return of the favour." She said nonchalantly, shrugging as if it wasn't a big matter to her but Veer clenched his jaw hearing her.

"What? He helped you and you kissed him? What kind of help was that? And is that how you kiss every guy who helps you out there?"

It would be an understatement to say that Bani was taken aback by his questions as she found herself going speechless for a moment. Nevertheless, few seconds later, she composed herself and replied him. "Huh? What's wrong with you, Veer? Yesterday I asked him to do my business law assignment and in return of it, he asked me to give him a kiss so I just kissed him as he completed my assignment just the way I asked....And no, I don't kiss all the guys out there. He's my first kiss other than my brothers." She explained, sighing exasperatedly.

Veer snapped his head towards her when he heard the word 'first kiss' from her and his jaw tightened for some reasons. He could feel a tinge of jealousy raising within himself and he clenched his fists to control the sudden urge of snapping at her.

Bani noticed the awkward silence growing between them but she didn't want to leave the place, especially after witnessing Veer's abnormal behaviour so she decided to wait for him until he breaks the silence. After contemplating for a few minutes, Veer sighed heavily and turned towards her.

"Bani?" He called her and she turned to look at him. Without giving her a chance to even blink her eyes, he instantly pulled her by holding her nape and pressed his lips against hers. Bani gasped and widened her eyes due to the sudden impact while Veer broke the kiss and pulled away from her with a satisfied smirk. Though it shouldn't be named as a kiss as it was less than a kiss but more than a peck yet she was overwhelmed with the shock given by him.

"This is your first kiss, sweetheart, not the one you gave him. Always remember that I'm your first kiss and you're mine." He said with possessiveness being evident in his tone of voice.

Bani finally came out from the shock he gave and blinked her eyes rapidly to stop the tears that formed in them. In a swift movement, she grabbed his collar and landed a punch across his face making him groan in pain. "How dare you!!!" She shouted, rising up from the bench.

"Ba-Bani?" Veer gulped, seeing the rage in her eyes. He got up with his palm cupping his left cheek.

"Why did you steal my first kiss? How could you do this to me? Who the fuck are you to kiss me? Why? Arghh!! I hate you! I fucking hate you, Veeranshu!" She roared at him and landed a last blow on his abs aggressively before running away from there. Without wasting another second there, Veer too ran behind her as he felt guilty for letting his possessiveness take the control over his actions at that moment.

"Bani, I'm sorry. Please don't run you might hurt yourself. Stop there, Bani.... Sweetheart?" He pleaded, following her and somehow managed to stop her by grabbing her arm.

"Don't touch me! I hate you! I didn't expect this from you. You took advantage of our friendship today. Don't ever show me your face again!" She cried, swatting his hands away when he tried to hold her in order to prevent her from running away again.

Veer's eyes popped out hearing her and he instantly cursed himself for ruining the beautiful bond they shared with just a mere action of his. "No, Bani. Please don't say that again. I really can't tolerate your hatred. Trust me, I never took advantage of our friendship, Bani. Let me say it to you frankly now. I don't see you as just my friend. You are more than a friend to me, sweetheart. I was attracted to you from the moment I saw you for the first time in the boxing ring. I don't believe in the phrase called 'love at first sight' and I don't know what I'm feeling now is love or something else but just believe me when I say that I don't see you as my friend or my best friend's sister. You've occupied a special place in my heart and I'm looking forward to having a future with you and I--" Before he could continue, Bani interrupted.

"Wait. What are you saying? Having a future with me? What do you mean by that?" She asked, gaping at him as it was too much for her to grasp all that he said to her.

"Yes, I want you to be there in my future as my life partner, Bani." He said confidently and looked at her face, expecting a positive response from her. "Do you understand what I'm trying to say?" He asked when he saw her frowning at him confusedly.

She wiped her tears and narrowed her eyes at him. "Do.. Do you l-love me?" She asked nervously while fidgeting with her fingers.

"I honestly don't know, sweetheart. I'm feeling something towards you and if it is the real definition of love then yes, I love you." Saying this, his eyes bulged out when the realisation hit him. "Shit yes! Omg I was so dumb all this while. I knew I was feeling something weird nowadays but I wasn't able to pinpoint it earlier. Damn! I'm in love with you, Bani. I've fallen for you. I LOVE YOU!" He confessed, stressing the last sentence while smiling to himself in the overwhelming euphoria.

Oh My God! I'm in love with her. I'm in love with my Bani.
His heart did a little backflip when he realised that he was finally in love with her.

Bani gasped loudly while placing her palm on her mouth. She just stared at him without even blinking her eyes while Veer chuckled at her reaction. He held her by her shoulders and shook her in order to bring her back to the reality. "Hey, sweetheart? Say something. I just confessed my love to you." He grinned at her with a hopeful look in his eyes.

"No, this is wrong." She said, pushing his hands away and the next instant, his face fell when he heard her.

"What is wrong?" He asked, being unsure of her statement.

"This thing. You and me. Love. This is all wrong. You're my brother's friend and you aren't supposed to love me. We knew each other since few months only. This can't be love. No!" She said, shaking her head frantically.

"Then what is love? Would you care to enlighten me?" He asked, crossing his arms in a challenging manner. Bani opened her mouth to explain him but instantly closed it when she realised that she didn't have any explanation for it.

"I...I don't know. Just leave me." Saying this, she started walking away from him but Veer was fast enough to stop her again.

"Bani, wait! Stop running away from me all the time. Just for once in your life, please behave like a mature woman. You can't always run away without facing the situation." He sighed while rubbing his face in irritation. She pouted and looked at him with her big doe eyes.

"You are the immature person here. How could you love a girl who is 4 years younger than you?" She mumbled under her breath but he heard her.

"Love has no connection with the age, little girl. It just happens to anyone at anytime."

"I'm not a little girl!" She snapped at him and he chuckled at her.

"You are. You are a little girl who doesn't know anything about love."

"Okay fine, don't love me then. I don't know anything about love right so I'm not the right one for you. Go and find someone else who is older than me and confess your love to her." She snarled at him angrily.

"No sweetheart, I don't want anyone else. I want only you. I don't mind if you don't know anything about love. I'm here to teach you everything." He said, moving closer to her with a mischievous smile playing on his lips.

Bani took two steps backward in reflex and widened her eyes when her back touched the wall. Veer stepped forward, getting more closer to her but stopped when he saw her getting tense because of their closeness. "Relax, baby girl. I'm not going to eat you. Calm down." He assured her while caressing her arms even though he was getting nervous himself with their proximity.

"W-why are you being so cheesy today? Stay in your l-limits. I don't reciprocate your feelings yet." She said, looking everywhere but not at him.

"I know that but I'm sure you will reciprocate my feelings very soon. You will fall in love with me soon, sweetheart." He said with confidence reflecting in his tone.

"Stop being overconfident, Mister." She said, rolling her eyes but it didn't go unnoticed by him when she bit her inner cheeks to control her smile.

"I have full faith in my charm, baby girl. I'm sure I will make you fall in love with me soon." He smirked, earning a playful glare from her.

"Enough now. Move!" She said, placing her palm on his chest to push him away but gasped when she felt his heart beating rapidly.

"See, that's what you're doing to me. Can you feel it?" He asked huskily, placing his hand on her hand which was already rested on his chest.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?" She asked concerned and he smiled at her caring and innocent nature.

"I will be okay once you say the three magical words which my heart wants to hear, baby girl." He said, leaning more closer to her and she looked at him confusedly.

"What nonsense are you saying? How can your heart hear? Are you really studying medicine?" She asked, making him roll his eyes.

Oh God! I need to teach this girl a lot. She doesn't even know the definition of romance.

He sighed and gazed into her eyes intensely. "Say that you love me if you want to slow down my rapid heartbeats." He demanded in his husky tone, expecting a favourable reaction from her but to his disappointment, she glared at him.

"I don't love you!" She hissed, making him shake his head as he was discontent with her lack of reciprocation.

"You will do it soon, sweetheart. Just wait and see." Saying this, he kissed on her cheek and moved away from her. Bani gaped at him when he winked at her and walked away carrying his usual smug with him.

He had gone insane. Crazy fellow.
She thought, shaking her head.

The next few days were hectic to Bani and Veer to which they didn't get the chance to meet each other as they both were busy preparing for their semester exams respectively. Adding to it, since it was the final year, Veer was extremely busy with the increased workload in his clinical rotations while Bani on the other hand, went back to her father's place as Vikram Rajput had filed a case against Arjun just the way he had warned earlier. Due to the influence and power he had in the city, Bani understood that it was practically impossible for Arjun to win the case so she decided to go back to her father's place and much to Arjun's dismay, she refused to listen to him by being adamant on her decision.

With no options left, Arjun allowed Bani to go back to the hell but only after tightening the security there. His bodyguards were always there to protect Bani to which Jaanvi and her mom were utterly disappointed for not being able to hurt her.

Approximately one and a half month later, Veer and Bani finally got the chance to meet each other coincidentally in their campus library.

Bani was sitting alone at a table placed in the corner without a care in the world and indulged herself in a novel. Soon she was disturbed by someone's presence there and looked up being annoyed with the scraping sound of a chair beside her but the very next moment her lips curled into a grin when she saw him.

"Hey, baby girl. Still remember me?" He asked, winking at her playfully.

"I missed you, Ansh." She said, closing her eyes for a second and breathing a sigh of relief.

"Really? Then why didn't you respond to any of my calls and messages?" He raised his eyebrow at her.

"For that I must have my phone with me first." She rolled her eyes.

"Hey, what happened? Where is your phone?" He asked worriedly but she shook her head, giving him an assuring smile.

"Nothing, I just lost it." She shrugged nonchalantly while Veer looked at her confusedly, not believing her words.

Something is wrong with her.
He thought, scrutinising her.
