"Ansh!" I heard her whispering the word which I was yearning to hear since 6 years. I stood still there, holding her in my arms and even she didn't try to make any movement in my embrace. After what felt like an eternity in being each other's arms, I decided to break the hug as I sensed something was wrong with her. She was leaving all her weight on me and when I tried to release her from my grip, her body instantly lost its balance and I quickly grabbed her back before she could fall down. That was the moment I released that she had lost her consciousness.

I laid her on the bed and sat beside her while looking at her pale, tear-streaked face. A lone tear escaped my eyes as it hurt me to see her ashen face and I didn't know what made her cry until her face lost its glow. "I'm sorry, baby girl. Soon, very soon I will find out the reason behind your tears today and destroy it permanently." I whispered, placing a kiss on her forehead.

Moving to my study, I instantly called James and Robert to meet me there. I wanted to find out what happened after she left the hospital as mom told me that Bani locked herself in the room since she came back home. "James and Robert, I want both of you to tell me in detail about what happened after Bani left from the hospital." I curtly ordered them.

"Boss, after I called you to inform that madam wanted to go to an ice cream parlour, she insisted us to take her inside the parlour as she wanted to have an ice cream there only and she even threatened us using your mom's name so without any choice left, we allowed her to go into the parlour." James said, gulping in fear as I glared at him.

"Idiots!! I asked you both to not let her step out of the car until you guys reach home. It's just a simple instruction but you guys can't follow it obediently right?" I gritted my teeth.

"No, boss. Your wife is too stubborn. We tried telling her but she wasn't listening to us." James said making me more furious.

How dare he call my wife stubborn? I know she is stubborn but he has not rights to say it on my face.

Before I could lash out at James, Robert interfered to continue their explanation. "Boss, at the ice cream parlour, a strange woman came to meet madam and we felt like something was wrong with that woman so we tried to stop her but madam refused and asked us to stay away from them. We stood 5 meters away from them and they were speaking for quite sometime. And then madam got up from there sadly and walked towards the car to which we followed her and dropped her here." I panicked hearing Robert. Who was that woman? Was that the Jaanvi by any chance?

"What the hell is wrong with you two? How dare you both allow a stranger to meet my wife? This is how you both have been performing your duties behind my back?" I glared at both of them and they instantly lowered their heads.

"But boss it's your wife's order too and how can we disobey her? Moreover, she's too stu--" James tried to complain about her again and I was ready to punch him across his face but Robert cut him off and continued.

"We're sorry, boss. We won't repeat this mistake anymore. And also, we have captured that woman's picture, boss. Do you want to see it?" He asked, lowering his head.

At least he is using his brain instead of mouth like the James idiot does.

I glared at James but he was still murmuring something under his breath. "James, get out right now!" I growled at him and he instantly left the room. "This is the last warning to you two, Robert. Especially to that idiotic twin of yours. Ask him to choose the words he speak wisely before he loses his job." I warned him and he nodded at me with an apology. "Now show me the picture."

He showed me the picture and my eyes bulged out when I saw the person on that picture. It was that Jaanvi as I expected. Damn! We thought we wouldn't let her to come near Bani but that witch went a step ahead by meeting her already. I didn't know what that worm feed Bani's mind but surely she had filled it with all the fake and wrong information about me.

What if Bani remembers her past after meeting that Jaanvi?

"Fuck!!!" I cursed under my breath and glared at Robert. "Robert, did you hear what they spoke there?" I asked with a hope but got disappointed when he shook his head.

"No, boss. But I saw her saying something to madam to which madam's expression changed into a sad one. We even heard her sniffling while we were in the car but we didn't interfere in it." He said, making me regret for sending her alone.

Shit!!! She called me Ansh just now. What if she remembers the past before I explain it to her? This would definitely break our relationship if she remembers the past herself.

But you are being selfish now, Veer. Don't you want her to remember her past? For how long you want to keep her away from the reality?
My inner self asked me and I sighed, realizing my selfishness but I just couldn't afford to lose her again.

I looked up to see Robert still standing in front of me. "Okay you may leave now. And remember, this is the first and last warning to both of you. Don't ever let any strangers to meet Bani no matter how much she insists. You both should take my permission first before allowing her to meet anyone besides my family members. Understood?"

"Yes, boss!"

"Get out." I said, closing my eyes to control the urge of punching someone's face at that moment. Calming down myself, I opened my eyes to see myself alone in that room. I sighed and walked back to my room hoping her to be awake as I needed to get some answers from her. I just couldn't keep calm and let her to receive wrong information about me and mistrust me.

I opened the door and instantly sighed in relief to see her sitting on the bed consciously. I walked to her and seeing me, she straightened herself before turning away from me. She tried to get up but I stopped her and sat in front of her carefully as she narrowed her eyes at me.

Does she remember anything about our past? I think she is angry with me.

Gulping nervously, I observed her facial expression keenly to find out what she was thinking about me but she just gave me a blank look. "Bani?" I called her and to my surprise, her eyes went wide. I expected a slap from her but she was looking at me surprisedly.

"Oh My God!!!" She shrieked suddenly making me jump in my place.

"Hmm....What happened?" I asked confusedly when I saw her looking at me with her mouth hung open.

"Say that again!" She ordered me by changing her position on the bed as she sat on her knees while shifting closer to me.

What's wrong with her? Why is she so excited now?

"What happened?" I asked, being unsure of her weird behaviour and she instantly pouted at me.

"Not that! Say my name again." She hit on my arm playfully and I breathed a sigh of relief.

Thank God, it means she doesn't remember anything yet. But why is she getting excited to hear her name? Did she forget her name?

"Hmm...did you forget your name?" I asked hesitantly and she looked down....shyly maybe?

"Say that again please." She asked again, smiling to herself. My eyes widened as she caught me off guard with her weird behaviour.

"Are you okay? Did you hit your head somewhere?" I asked, checking her head to see if she had fell down anywhere after getting back her consciousness but she pushed my hand away.

"It has been 1 month and today it's the first time you called me using my name. Awww I was dying to hear it from you, Veeranshu." She sighed with a contented smile on her face which successfully brought a smile on my face too.

"Crazy girl. You scared me actually." I shook my head and took her hands in mine while she was looking at me with a pout. "What happened now?" I asked seeing her pout.

"You know what? I'm really a crazy girl." She said, hitting her own forehead and continued, "I have to tell you something, Veeranshu. Just now I went to an ice cream parlour to eat my favourite ice cream but there I met a girl. No no, she looked like a witch actually with her long black nails." She explained with her big doe eyes which expressed that she got scared looking at that witch. I left out a heavy sigh as she made it easier for me by explaining it herself before I could ask her. "I wasn't getting good vibes from her as she looked like a sorceress. You know what? That girl tried to manipulate me against you by saying that you were already married and she asked me to don't trust you. She told me that you were married to Jaanu, no it's Jaanvi. Wait, is Jaanu's full name Jaanvi?" She asked me and I shook my head vigorously to which she sighed in relief but again narrowed her eyes at me. "Is that true? Did you get married to Jaanu before me? Am I your second wife?" She asked, making me feel completely baffled.

"No, that--" She cut me off before I could explain her.

"Wait, let me finish. I had all those doubts running in my mind and I immediately came back home. I was very angry and upset with you at first. I felt like you betrayed me but then thankfully devil told me to not trust that witch and asked me to confront you directly to know the truth. You know this is the first time devil asked me trust you and I instantly understood that the witch was lying, Veeranshu" She explained everything in a single breath and I looked at her confusedly.

According to her, that witch is Jaanvi but then who is that devil in between?

"Who is the devil, baby girl?" I asked and the next moment her eyes went wide and she bit her tongue while looking away from me. I cupped her face and made her to look at me. "Who is that devil that asked you to don't trust that witch and confront me to learn the truth?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at her.

Suddenly she giggled and moved away from me. "You're also calling her a witch. Wait, do you know her?" She asked, clearly trying to change the topic as she was looking everywhere else but me.

"Bani, who is the devil?" I asked again, raising my eyebrow at her.

"Veeranshu, you haven't answer my question yet. Tell me now. Do you know that witch? And were you married before this? Am I your second wife?" Suddenly she got up from the bed and asked me angrily with her hands on her hips like a headmaster punishing a naughty student.

"What do you think about it, baby girl?" I asked, getting up from the bed. I wanted to know what if she's believing that Jaanvi or me.

"What happened to Jaanu? Will she come back in your life again? Why did you leave the love of your life and got married to me?" She asked, her eyes brimming with tears again. I instantly pulled her towards me and cupped her face.

"So you trust that witch more than me, right? You just told me that you knew she was lying, then why are you still asking me this question?"

"I know she lied but I want to hear it from you." She pouted at me.

"Baby, listen to me now. Don't ever trust if anyone say anything about me. What you are doing now is totally correct. You should always confront me like this if someone feed your mind with negative thoughts about me. Understood?" I asked and she nodded at me cutely. "Now listen. I swear upon my mother, you was, are and will always be my one and only wife. I married you only and I don't have anyone else in my life except you. Don't ever doubt my sincerity towards our relationship. As I always say, we are sharing a sacred bond and I respect it wholeheartedly. I will always be with you and would never let you go even if you insist. You are mine and I'm yours. Do you get that?" I asked her sternly.

She finally smiled at me genuinely and wrapped her arms around me taking me into a tight hug. I stumbled at her sudden act but managed to balance myself with her in my arms. "I trust you, Veeranshu. You are mine! I'm not going to share you with anyone else, not even your Jaanu. If she comes back, I will tell her that you are mine now and I will never let you escape from this relationship. You are mine, only mine!" Saying this, she hugged me more tightly while I was completely taken aback. For a moment, she behaved like my Jaanu who would always be possessive about me. She had never left a single chance to show others that I was her possession last time.

She called me Ansh just now and now she's expressing her possessiveness like she used to do. What's happening to her? Is this Bani or Jaanu?

I slowly unwrapped her arms around my torso and she instantly looked up at me. I stared at her cautiously while she stared back at me confusedly. I cleared my throat and tried to walk away but she held my wrist to stop me.

I raised my eyebrow at her. "Where are we going? You haven't tell me about it yet." She pouted at me and I knew she was asking about the date I promised her but my mood was long gone then.

"Hmm not today. We will go some other day." I told her and the next second her beautiful smile faded away from her face.

I'm sorry, baby girl. I'm not in the mood right now. I need to find out about that Jaanvi most importantly. I have to deal the unfinished business with her and her father first.

"Why? But you promised me just now. Wait, are you upset with me? I told you right that I didn't believe that woman's words. I trust you only. Let's go today, please?" She asked, showing her puppy eyes and it clenched my heart to see her pleading me with a hopeful look on her face.

Sighing helplessly, I cupped her face to convince her. "I'm sorry, baby girl. I know you were excited about the date but right now you are not feeling well. You lost your consciousness few hours ago so you should take good rest today. I promise to take you out some other day." I said but she instantly pushed my hands away from her face.

"No, I'm absolutely fine now. It was just that I was tensed thinking about today's incident that's why I fainted. Let's go today please or else we have to wait until next month to celebrate it." She pleaded again.

James was right. She's too stubborn.

"No, not next month but we can go tomorrow, okay? Now you have to take rest first so be a good girl and listen to me today." Saying this, I immediately left the room without hearing her response. I was extremely guilty for disappointing her but at that moment, keeping her safe and away from that Jaanvi witch was more important to me than taking her out.

It was half past eleven at night when I decided to go back to our room from my study as I was avoiding her since our previous conversation. During dinner also she kept showing me those puppy eyes which were begging me to take her out but I avoided it and quickly left after having my dinner.

Taking a deep breath, I opened the door but my eyes popped out as I was welcomed by a flying pillow. All thanks to my basic reflexes as I instantly dodged it away and sighed heavily to calm my heart after seeing the condition of the room. The pillows and cushions were scattered on the floor along with the sheets and.....curtains too?

Omg? How the hell did she manage to pull out the curtains which were as thrice as her height?

I saw her standing in front of the dressing table while panting heavily. She noticed me and the next moment a perfume bottle flew on my way making me jump from my spot. "Why did you come now? Go away from here!!!!" She yelled at me and my eyes widened in amusement listening to the tone she used on me.

"Whoa, calm down lioness. What did you do to our room? Who is going to clean this mess now?" I narrowed my eyes at her but instantly regretted as she started throwing the things from the dressing table. "Hey! No! Stop there!" I screamed jumping here and there like a monkey as she was aiming at my legs.

"Get out!!! You cheat! Don't show me your face!" She screamed loudly and I quickly ran to her to close her mouth. I knew our room was soundproof but definitely anyone could hear her screams if they pass by it.

Strange! What's wrong with her today?

She wiggled in my arms as I hugged her tightly from the back while locking her hands with mine to stop her from being aggressive. "Ahhhhhh!!!! Go away!!" She shouted in my ear.

"Shhhh stop screaming, baby girl. I have two hands only I can't borrow another hand to shut your mouth now." I shushed her and she glared at me through the mirror. "What happened to you? Why are you so aggressive today? You have surprised me so much with your different types of personality today. What's wrong with you, baby girl? Are you fine?" I asked being concerned but she widened her eyes at me.

"So you are trying to say that I have gone mad right? No, I'm not fine! You are right, I have gone mad. Send me to the mental hospital right now!" She yelled at me and I shook my head.

Shit! She totally misunderstood my words.

"No baby girl, I didn't mean that. Look at yourself in the mirror. See your dishevelled hair and clothes now. Why did you do this to yourself? If you are angry with me then show it on me but don't hurt yourself, baby." I said in a soft tone while kissing her temples and she instantly calmed down upon hearing me. I turned her towards me and cupped her face cautiously as I was quite afraid after witnessing her aggressive behaviour but thankfully her breathing and expressions softened. "Listen to me, baby girl. I'm sorry for disappointing you today but I promise I will take you out tomorrow, okay?" I told her using a chirpy tone but in return she glared at me. She pushed me forcibly and took few steps away from me.

"You are lying! You are not interested in me or in this relationship and I understood that now. It's okay, Veeranshu. I'm sorry for forcing you and I won't behave like this again. I will clean this mess tomorrow." Saying this, she quickly walked out of the room leaving me baffled there.

Clean this mess tomorrow? How am I supposed to sleep tonight? Wait, where is she going now?

Facepalming myself, I ran out to see her walking fast towards the stairs. "Bani!!! Wait there! Where are you going now?" I shouted, running behind her but she quickly climbed down the stairs and ran towards my parents' room. "Bani, what are you doing?" I asked, grabbing her hand as she started knocking the door loudly. "Baby, don't do this please." I pleaded her but she ignored me and started knocking the door with the other hand. "Stop it, Bani! You are crossing your limits now!" I yelled at her and she stared at me with her eyes brimming with tears.

Oh no! She is going to start with the waterworks now.

"Baby, I'm sorry. Please don't cry."

Big fat tears started flowing down her eyes making me panic and my parents chose the exact moment to open the door. I rubbed my temples frustratedly, not knowing what to tell them and mom instantly took her into a hug as she panicked seeing her with tears. "Oh my God, sweetie what happened to you? Why are you crying at this time? Veer, what did you do to her?" Mom asked, glaring at me while dad was staring at Bani horrifiedly.

"What happened to her, Veer? What did you do? Did you misbehave with her?" My dad asked, making me groan at him.

Why the fuck they are asking me what did I do when she's the one who did everything there?

Before I could answer them, the person who was crying like a victim there finally decided to open her mouth. "Sam, I'm going to sleep with you tonight. I'm not going back to your son's room anymore." She said, sniffling and mom wiped off her tears while dad narrowed his eyes at me.

"Bani, are you mad? What are you even saying now? Come, let's go back to our room." I said, trying to grab her hand but she quickly moved behind my mom.

"Ask him to go away from here, uncle. Sam, let's go to sleep. My head is paining a lot." She said, looking at my mom with her glassy puppy eyes and mom instantly melted at it.

"Okay, sweetie. Stop crying first. And Amar, you go and sleep in any guest room tonight." Mom said, literally pushing my dad out and shut the door on our face.

"What the hell? Did she just chase me away from my own room?" Dad asked being baffled and horrified.

"Dad, can you come with me and help me to clean the room now?" I asked him helplessly.

"Why? What happened to your room?"

"I don't know, dad. Something went wrong with her and she became too aggressive today. She messed up my whole room and she's not even saying anything about what's bothering her. Her behaviour was completely abnormal today." I sighed at him.

"What did you do to her, Veer?" He narrowed his eyes at me and I glared at me.

"You know what, dad? Just go and settle in any of the guest room like mom said. Good night!" I said exasperatedly and walked back to my room.

What happened to her? It's totally out of character for her to behave aggressively like this. Oh god, what if she goes through a sleepless night tonight? She is an insomniac and she can't sleep peacefully without being in my embrace.
