"My arms hurt..." Kunimi lowly said, letting his arms drop to his sides.

"Today's practice is much more rigorous." Iwaizumi exhaled, stretching out his arms.

"Ah, wait... Y-you can do this to relieve sore pain." You placed down the clipboard onto the bench and walked over to the boys. You stood parallel to them, raised your arms, and rotated your arms and back.

They followed as you instructed, amazed at your demonstration and knowledge.

"(L/n)-san~, you're quite knowledgeable. Do you workout often, or did you play a sport?" Oikawa turned his head to you, tilting his head. Though his eyes looked like they were pry out a slip of a word from you.

"I-I try to work out... Time to time..." You nervously fumbled over your words as you rubbed your hand away at the discomfort. Especially since you have come to know more about each member and have concluded that Oikawa was rather sharp and analytical.

"That must be why you're able to carry a lot by yourself." Iwaizumi broke the uneasy tension around your head. He hummed at this out-loud thought of his and turned his head to you. "Have any tips for sore triceps?"

"Y-yeah." You nodded your head and brought your arms over and behind your head. "The best and basic stretch is an overhead tricep and shoulder stretch. But you shouldn't pull on your elbow."

"I see..." Iwaizumi reenacted your demonstration.

"Mm, a-nd try to keep your bicep close to your ear but d-don't force it."

"Thank you, I'll make sure to keep your tips in mind." Iwaizumi nodded his head as a shirt gesture of thanks, his grin lacing over his lips.

You softly smiled back and took this as a sign of retreat back to your responsibilities. You walked back to the bench and glanced over at the now nearly finished water jug.

'I should refill it. Their break should end soon.' You walked over to the jug and was about to pick it up before the coach's words interrupted you.

"Oikawa. Go and help (L/n) with the water jug." The coach pointed to Oikawa and then you. Your hands stopped around the jug as you blinked your eyes upwards.

"Eh? I'm alright doing it by myself..." You quietly rebutted with a hint of confusion. "Ah..." You let out a small gasp of realization that this was probably due to your dad's worry and his recent phone calls to the coaches. You nodded your head shortly after in understanding as Oikawa walked over and picked up the jug.

"Lets go!" Oikawa smiled and led the way outside of the court.

'I... I kinda feel uncomfortable...' You followed behind his footsteps, a pit of uneasy tension tied up in your stomach. You nervously eyed his back and to the ground.

"(L/n)-chan?" Oikawa turned his body back with raised brows as they reached the water fountain.

"Y-yes?!" You straightened your posture and rapidly blinked your eyes.

"That kinda hurts that you reacted that way..." Oikawa let out a sigh and pouted. He placed the opening of the jug towards the faucet, brushing through his hair.

You didn't find any words to respond to that as you simply just couldn't find any sort of humorous way to reply. You just sweatdropped and nodded your head.

"Do you have someone you like?" Oikawa smiled like a Cheshire Cat, his eyes sparkling with interest.

"P-p-pardon?" You coughed at your forced voice and felt the knot in your stomach tighten. Your face paled in a purple color, surprised and in disbelief of his out-of-nowhere question.

"Sorry, sorry, that was sudden right~?" Oikawa chirply laughed and leaned towards the fountain.

"Y-yes..." You stammered, crossing your arms across your chest and avoiding his gaze.

'I don't think Oikawa Senpai would badger someone with stuff like this unless he teases someone, right?' You tried to come up with some sort of explanation for his odd behavior, wanting to understand the situation. Still, you want to escape this awkward moment.

"Hmmm. Is it Iwa-chan?" Oikawa snapped his fingers, a burst of small laughter escaping his mouth.

"I-Iwaizumi senpai?" Your left eye squinted, questioning his badgering. A small hint of blush dashed across your face in embarrassment at his pinpointing questions. "N-no, it's not l-like that..." You tensed your muscles and shook your head.

"Really? Don't you think he's cool?" Oikawa hummed. "You only really ever talk to him, so I thought maybe I could help you." Oikawa smiled with closed eyes, his innocent grin radiating a blinding glow.

"O-O(Oinkawa)ikawa senpai..." You sweatdropped bullets, fumbling with your hands. "I-I don't have a-any i-intentions like that..." (If you get it, you get it.)

"Huh? Is that so?" Oikawa opened his eyes, quite surprised. He blinked his widely opened eyes and searched your facial expression.

"Yes..." You sighed and brought your chin towards your chest. You closed your eyes, releasing the tension around your shoulders to drop down.

'She isn't lying...' Oikawa frowned, a still expression lacing his features. 'And here I thought maybe he would finally get a girlfriend...'

"I... I don't want to interpret kindness as a sign of romantic feelings. I think Iwaizumi senpai is a kind person and that is it." You softly expressed, heaving off some of the pressure of your chest.

"I see... Sorry! I went overboard!" Oikawa waved his hand and bowed his head.

"I-it's... It's alrig- Th-the water!" You exclaimed with a pale face and turned off the faucet in a hurry.

"Ack!" Oikawa's face soured when the overfilled water crashed down at his clothes and his shoes. He loudly exclaimed and paled at his now soaked shoes.

"Senpais... What are you doing?" Kunimi peered from around the corner, sweatdropping at the chaotic mess the two upperclassmen were.

"Refilling the water! What else?!" Tears pricked at the corners of Oikawa's eyes as he exclaimed at his kouhai's disapproving gaze.

"Good job today everyone! You're dismissed." The head coach announced, uncrossing his arms.

"Thank you!" The team shouted and bowed their heads, heading to grab their bags.

"Sigh..." You brushed your (h/c) hair back and shut your eyes. Today was particularly more exhausting ever since the sudden conversation and confession with Oikawa.

'To think he would have asked such a question...' You frowned, dumbfounded at the event. It now made you more conscious about walking home with the team knowing that Iwaizumi would always see to it that he safely walked you home.

'No... I shouldn't force my discomfort to avoid him when he is just being kind.' You sighed once again and reopened your eyes as you heard the team approach towards you.

You walked at the edge of the group but once you guys would reach the entrance, you would naturally end up being in the center of the group. Of course you noticed it gradually since you were conscious of your place in crowds, but you rather felt warm by this action.

'They're all kind...' You knowingly smiled to yourself, lowering your gaze towards the ground. Your cheeks blushed a light pink at their thoughtfulness as their cheerful voices blurred and mixed into your head.

'How nice... This is all I need...'

As your thoughts and gaze drifted elsewhere during this moment, your sincere expression and smile of depth was not missed by the team. They were silenced for a second at the sudden deep smile, but did not want to disturb it.

Kunimi elbowed Kindaichi next to him, which made a chain reaction among the members to continue their conversations to avoid an awkward and unknowing pause that would alert you.

The members parted ways and said their goodbyes. Soon it was just you and Iwaizumi left. Oikawa left with a loud and obnoxious departure by teasing Iwaizumi like always, telling his friend to take care of the lady. And of course Iwaizumi scoffed back at him in annoyance.

"(L/n)-san, the team has not been bothering you, right?" Iwaizumi turned his head over to you, his olive green eyes meeting your own (e/c) eyes.

"N-no! Not at all!" You waved your hand in front of you and shook your head. "... Rather I like it here..." You awkwardly laughed and turned your gaze away at the road ahead of you.

"I'm glad." Iwaizumi grinned, turning his head forward. "You seem more comfortable with us too, so I'm grateful that you're here because they listen to you." He chuckled, his eyes shut at the thought of it.

You couldn't help but stifled a small giggle. You cleared your throat and fixed the strand of your hair out of your face.

"I think they listen and admire Iwaizumi senpai much more. You're a very reliable and uplifting teammate." You thoughtfully said, a gentle and subtle smile gracing his eyes.

He couldn't find any words to reply to that. He was stuck in awe at your sincerity and thoughtful eyes. His face brightened in a light shade of red at your compliment.

"Th-thank you for walking me home... Good night." You stood at the gates of your house and bowed your head.

"Yeah. See you tomorrow." Iwaizumi stuffed his hands into his pockets and casually grinned. Like always, Iwaizumi waited until you pass through the gates before departing towards his house.
