Chapter - 84

Recap: Chandrasekar in Aryan's custody. Pradeep and Keerthy are engaged

************

The grandest banquet hall in the city, owned by none other than Aryan himself, stood gleaming in its full glory. The entire ARC Hotel was cordoned off for a very special occasion — Sanjana's baby shower. The building dazzled under a canopy of intricate lighting, while the interiors looked like a floral paradise. Satin fabrics draped the walls, and vibrant arrangements of daisies, carnations, roses, and orchids gave the whole space the aura of a blooming garden. The aisle, laid with a vintage carpet, was flanked by colorful tulips, making guests feel like they were walking through a tulip farm.

At the center of it all was a blissful stage, where the ritual would be held. Flowers adorned every corner, and traditional bangles hung beautifully, enhancing the sacred atmosphere. Plates filled with fresh fruits and flowers, along with silver bowls of sandalwood paste and vermillion, were perfectly placed. Two large silver peacock lamps stood majestically on either side, lit and glowing warmly. A royal Italian single-seater waited for Sanju.

Aryan and Devika had personally selected the buffet menu. The spread included the finest vegetarian cuisines and global desserts, along with traditional baby shower delicacies. Top chefs were divided into teams to ensure everything was flawless.

Naren and Pradeep were practically sprinting through the venue, checking every detail. Ranjith was managing seating and security with military precision — given that celebrities, business elites, and ministers had been invited. The media had their own designated space, keeping them from interfering with the guests and rituals.

Executives from ARC and Mansion staff were present too. Kousalya, Deepa, and Bala were equally involved, coordinating in harmony.

At the entrance, Devika, Vishnu, and Surendhar greeted the guests, all smiles. Meanwhile, Aryan emerged — looking like royalty in a Kanchivaram dhoti with a golden zari border and a peach silk shirt that hugged his muscular frame. His chiseled jawline, neatly styled hair, and well-groomed beard gave him a sharp, regal look. Walking down the aisle, he welcomed every guest with warmth.

Inside, Pavi, Keerthy, Banu, Maya, and Nila were dressed in coordinated green lehengas with crystal work and adorned with diamond jewelry. They buzzed with excitement as they helped Nila's stylist get Sanju ready, giggling and teasing along the way.

As the time for rituals neared, Devika called Pavi.

"Pavi, bring Sanju. It's time."

Aryan hadn't seen his wife for hours. The girls had whisked her away for styling, keeping everything — including her outfit — a secret. He waited, restless and eager.

Then, she came.

Sanju emerged from behind the giggling group of girls. Aryan's heart skipped a beat.

She was ethereal — dressed in a pink and peach dual-toned Kanchipuram silk saree with a golden zari border and peacock motifs. A diamond choker and haaram graced her neck. Matching danglers, maang tikka, and bangles completed her look. Her braid was adorned with jasmine strands, and a subtle pink lipstick brightened her glowing face. But nothing outshone her baby bump and the divine, maternal aura she carried.

Aryan's lips parted in awe. His gaze locked onto hers as she walked toward him slowly, casting a spell.

The girls stood aside dramatically, revealing Sanju like a goddess. Aryan, unable to contain himself, stepped forward.

"You are beautiful, wifey. My heart skipped a beat looking at you. Gorgeous," he whispered, completely mesmerized.

Sanju smiled, shy yet confident. "My husband looks dapper, and I need to save him from all the girls."

"You need not worry, Mrs. Aryan. Everyone knows that I'm taken... and soon to be a father," he smirked.

"Still, you kill many girls' hearts with your charming smile, Mr. Husband."

"But this charming man is already head over heels for his Aphrodite wife," he said, holding her hand.

She looked around, enchanted. "I feel like walking in a garden. The entire place is breathtaking."

"You can return the gift for that once we're home," Aryan winked.

Devika chuckled as she approached. "Aryan, you can continue talking after the rituals."

Aryan gently guided Sanju to the stage. She clasped her hands and greeted the guests, then settled onto the ornate single-seater. Aryan placed a rose garland around her neck before stepping aside, allowing the women to begin the ceremony.

Devika led the ritual, applying sandal paste and adorning Sanju with bangles. Kousalya and Deepa followed. One by one, all the girls joined in with laughter and affection. Then, the guest ladies came forward, each performing the ritual with joy and reverence.

Each woman received a return gift — a silk saree, bangles, coconut, silver lamp, and a plant — a token of love and tradition.

Once the ladies were done, Vishnu and Surendhar stepped forward to bless Sanju. Then came her brothers, all emotional yet proud.

Finally, Devika called Aryan to the stage.

"Aryan, it's your turn."

Aryan knelt beside Sanju. With utmost tenderness, he took a pinch of sandal paste and applied it to her cheeks. Then, he slipped bangles onto her wrists. His eyes welled up with tears, overwhelmed by the moment. One lone tear rolled down.

He looked up at Ranjith and gestured. Ranjith approached and handed Aryan a small box. Aryan turned back to Sanju, holding the box...

Aryan knelt beside Sanju, his eyes filled with love as he gently took her feet in his lap. Holding a small velvet box in his hand, he opened it and took out a toe ring.

" Sanju sweetheart, you are the only woman who makes me crazy and makes me madly fall in love with you every time. I wanted to be in love with you and grow old with you all my life. And our baby, thank you for giving me this precious bundle of joy to us. I love you. I love you, sweetheart." he said and slipped the new toe ring onto the adjacent toe that already had one and softly placed her foot back down. Rising up, he leaned forward and kissed her forehead, then gave her a cheeky wink. His public display of affection drew gasps and giggles from the guests, who watched with admiration. The media and photographers didn't miss a beat, capturing every heartwarming second.

Sanju's eyes welled up with emotion. Unable to hold back, she stood and embraced Aryan tightly. He gently patted her head before pulling away to greet more guests.

As he moved through the crowd, the girls circled Sanju, teasing her playfully. But Sanju was lost in thought. She leaned toward Keerthy and whispered something in her ear.

Keerthy grinned and nodded, then grabbed the mic to address the crowd. Her voice rang out, grabbing everyone's attention, including Aryan, who paused his conversation and turned to listen.

" Hello everybody! Thank you for gracing this special day with your presence and blessings to our beloved couple. Our Aryan brother has shown his love for his wife, and now our friend Sanju will show her love for her husband. Aryan anna, get ready to fall for her all over again!" Keerthy announced and the crowd clapped and cheered as Aryan made his way back toward the stage. Keerthy handed the mic to Sanju, who looked at Aryan with eyes full of love.

" Aryan, you have not only been my love, my husband... but you've given me the love that I yearned for after the loss of my parents. You are my best friend, my well-wisher, and the best thing the universe has given me. I love you to the moon and back. I know how much you love my singing, and I would like to sing for you." Sanju said and held the mic close and began to sing softly, her eyes locked on Aryan's.

"Uyirin Uyire Unathu Vizhiyil
En Mugam Naan Kaana Vendum
Urangumbothum Urangidaamal
Kanavile Nee Thondra Vendum"

"Oh my life, my love, in your eyes,
I wish to see my face reflected.
Even when I sleep, without falling asleep,
I want you to appear in my dreams."

"Kaadhalaagi Kaatrilaadum Oonjalaai
Naan Aagiren
Kaalam Thaandi Vaazha Vendum
Veru Enna Ketkiren"

"I've become a swing of love, swaying in the breeze.
I want to live beyond the bounds of time.
What more can I ask for?"

"Saayangaalam Saayum Neraththil
Thozhi Pola Maaruven
Soarnthu Neeyum Thoongum Neraththil
Thaayai Pola Thaanguven"

"In the calm of the evening dusk,
I'll become your friend and stay beside you.
And when you lie down to sleep,
I'll hold you like a mother cradles her child."

She finished her song with a soft smile, her voice thick with love.

"I love you, my king," Sanju whispered, her voice soft and full of affection.

Aryan's face lit up with emotion, his eyes reflecting the depth of his love for her.

"I love you, wifeyy," he replied, his words laced with warmth and pride.

The two shared a sweet side-hug, and just at that moment, the photographer captured the perfect frame—one that would be cherished forever. Around them, the guests slowly began to leave, offering their final blessings and smiles. The grand hall, once filled with laughter, music, and the fragrance of fresh flowers, gradually quieted as the celebration came to an end.

Back at Aryan Mansion, the family returned, their hearts full of the day's joy. As soon as they stepped inside, Devika's eyes fell on Sanju, who looked visibly tired from the long and emotional day.

"Aryan, take Sanju to her room. My daughter looks too tired," Devika said gently, her voice filled with motherly concern.

Without a word, Aryan scooped Sanju up into his arms and carried her to their room. Once there, he gently removed her heavy accessories, helped her change into something comfortable, and tucked her into bed.

Sitting beside her, he began to massage her legs with care, every stroke filled with tenderness and gratitude—for his wife, for their baby, and for the life they were building together.
