I nod: I just figured since that's exactly what I would do in fact it's what the heroes of my world are trying to do in a way you see some of our powers don't mix well with villain quirks in some cases using a wrong mash up of powers could result in more damage for example if a villain had the quirk that made the air around them into gas you obviously wouldn't want someone with a fire quirk trying to to stop them when it comes to something like that we are told that we need to control the situation keep the villain while waiting for backup in their case they were treated and they are they gonna come back with prior knowledge as well as not making the same mistake twice

truthfully I don't really know this situation is so bizarre to me I'm still gonna come to the fact I just got into a fight with aliens actual aliens or interdimensional aliens people not from this planet but I suppose if I were to come up with a strategy: I would say that the whole area needs to be quarantined off which means no access to the public at least for a month because I'm feeling that they're going to return in the exact same place and it's best not to have any civilians there when they do

this past few weeks no this past month has been exhausting not only did all the villain's breakout and go on a rampage selling the country's death spiral I get teleported to another world and have to fight alien invaders something like this really does only happening comic books but here I am in another world and more or less confirmed by now when I broke out the hospital it wasn't just so I could test my new powers and save the people that were being attacked during the invasion I also had a double check to make sure I really was in another world and this was all just some elaborate plan

but when I got out I truly was in Chicago and it was a Chicago that didn't look anything like the one in my world there were no hero agency is no other heroes on patrol even if by some chance this was just an elaborate plan set up by the Demon King believing he could do this setting up a whole freak Chicago of the whole fake hospital fake superheroes and alien invaders so what would be the point I was unconscious for a long time I did he just take my powers then need to make sure that I really was in another world

I get pulled out of my thoughts when I spot the guy I saw back at the invasion the one wearing yellow and blue he had his mask off and he was still partially covered in blood though I don't think any of it is his and judging by the look on his face he is not coping well.

The two of us spot each other and those are just brief moment of us staring at each other before I take off my mask and walk up to him: do you want to talk about what happened?

It doesn't respond verbally instead he just nods and the two of us walk off drive and a place to sit in this place

about 30 minutes later

the two of us sit down and we to start talking we introduce ourselves as name is Mark he also goes by the name of invincible and I tell my name and my name we talk about our powers I don't reveal anything about the Augean of my abilities I just tell that I have multiple powers and so did he has the ability of flight as well as superstrength

I also tell them about how I'm from another world he didn't believe it at first but after a lot of explanation he began to open up to the idea

Mark: so you like actually from another earth... Like another universe

I nod: Yep pretty and your... Half alien... sorry that offensive

mark: no it's not... Honestly I cannot thought I would get a bigger reaction from you though you seem can calm for someone who claims it there are usually alien attacks in his world I thought you would be like freaking out

true I am freaking out internally but I was managing to keep a cool on the surface: yeah... Do you the truth it's not that big of a deal owing you look human which is... A little weird partly because we always suspected that if we did come across alien life it would look very different to us and if I'm being honest some of my friends back in my world can look like aliens so it's not that big of a deal

Mark: I guess that's all right... I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you were so good in that situation you're trained to be a hero then you've probably gone through a lot of experience like that without freezing up

I tried to console him: Mark you did okay especially for someone that had been in that situation before

Mark: are you kidding then I completely froze up meanwhile you were destroying those guys were like a force of nature it was awesome

I blushed slightly: yeah but Mark you have to remember that just because I had been in the situation with alien invasion doesn't mean I was never in a situation where I had to disband a group of people with superpowers I just applied the training I was given... And honestly Mark I froze up to the first time I thought a villain by myself and that was just one guy let me tell you I froze up in fact I wanted to run away

I remember that day like it was yesterday it still remains one of the closest fights of my life: well today the truth Mark I wasn't as strong as I am now back then and this guy I was going up against called himself muscular I only found out later after I beat him that in the underworld he was known as the bloodthirsty muscular this guy was a cold-blooded killer, this guy was a special type of villain he was an adrenaline junkie you want the thrill of the fight he didn't kill people to rob banks or some sort of ideology kill people because he liked it

Mark eyes widened: Jesus so what did you do

I go through the motions: well for someone to call for help but my phone was destroyed, I knew I needed backup because I thought there was no wagon to discover myself he was at least three times my size with bulging muscles I can already see in his eye this guy was a cold-blooded killer. But then I looked behind me and there was this little boy he was there was the whole reason I was there and he was terrified more so than me so I swallowed my fear the best I could put on a brave face and told him that everything's gonna be okay

Mark not taking away the lesson I wanted from the story: but you did it you defeated him right see you didn't freeze up you did what you had to do I just stood there completely unable to move

I tried to calm him down: Mark that's not the lesson I want you to take away from the story the point I'm trying to make as everybody freezes up even if it's just for an instant, something else I froze up completely when I saw a villain that didn't even know I was in the vicinity anyone know I would have done if I could move I would have run away because this guy was so terrifying so scary that my body just wouldn't listen to me... and this guy didn't even know I was there and I had been in plenty of life-and-death situations beforehand why didn't freeze up so much but when it came to that guy... I just couldn't move? What you're feeling right now is natural it's okay to be afraid you show me someone is not afraid to face death and also your complete idiot

Mark: what you did you want afraid where you?

I nod: I was afraid Mark I really was... But it wasn't of fear of my death it was a fear of other people dying got I feared the look on someone's face as they died that's far worse so in a way I am afraid and just more afraid of letting people down. If you're free for your own safety that's fine that something you can work towards getting over it something I had to I know that you can to so what do you feel better
