invincible was now on a beeline to meet up with his father unaware completely about what he had done all that idea was about to bump into leaving the monitor room completely in shock

the monitor had returned much to the disapproval of cecil and Debbie: you said you were gonna get the kid to join us is heading straight for his father now!

The monitor: that is the point despite what you think of me and how powerful you may think I am there is one thing I cannot do I cannot interfere with free will... It is up to the mark whether he decides to join his father or not however I will admit that I have stacked the cards in our favour however the inevitable decision is up to him but if you want to grip help our odds even more... I would suggest you unleash the creature you have a ice specifically in exactly 3 minutes any sooner and it will work any later and will meet up with each other... It is your choice

the director wanted to yell at the cryptic suggestions he was getting but truthfully didn't have much of a choice and it was planning to unleash the creature anyway and would take three minutes to set everything up to send in their anyway

cecil: fine but if you get this wrong I sure as hell hope Nolan kills you first at least then I can have something good to see before I die

back with Nolan he was still racing towards his son at breakneck speed only to be stopped when suddenly in front of him teleported a giant creature one of which he killed before or at least he thought he did

it was bigger madder meaner and stronger but still it didn't Nolan he beat it once he would do it again

omni man looking at the camera had caught up with him: you must be desperate I beat this thing already

cecil: sure you did but this time we remove its pain centre plus we juiced it up with everything we could plus all of that really pissed off and it blames you... Good luck

the communication was cut off as the rematch between the monster and the squid creature kicked off

Debbie watched in horror she didn't know who to vote for the monster or her husband cecil on the other hand was looking directly at the monitor who was remaining seemingly motionless as he watched the fight to unfold

cecil: right we sent the monster and at the exact time... What's gonna happen now

the monitor: now... Or that's left is to wait and see how this turns out assuming everything has gone as it usually does in these realities we just need to wait for a little while longer and then the moment of truth will be revealed and only then will we see who Mark Grayson truly is... Whether he is meant to be a hero or whether he will follow his father to the darkness

the fight continued and over on the other end of the viewing news choppers arrived reporting the whole situation unaware that they should have in voting for the creature and not their so-called hero it wasn't long before Mark had arrived as an invincible he wasn't sure why his father was fighting creature but it was clear that he needed help so we charged in having no clue that the decision that we defied the rest of his life was about to happen

Debbie: you said that mark choice was coming up what does that mean when is he going to choose

the monitor: it won't be long now the final piece is finally being put into place and then it is only up to mark on which road he will go down in these crossroads that he is approach

no one in the base had any idea what the monitor was talking about nor do they care they were too busy watching the fight unfold little did they know that the monitor was right and new piece was about to be entered onto the board one who was completely unaware about what had happened in the past six months all he knew is that he needed to kill Omni man

Mark was speechless he wasn't sure if he saw things correctly he just witnessed his father Colin have someone who was supposed to be a friend: dad...

Nolan now covered in blood and his eyes red from the pressure that the immortal had placed upon them looked at his son: Mark... We need to talk

invincible completely misreading the situation tackled his father to them scuttled around in the air: Mark stop

the son not willing to believe that his father's murderer: no someone's controlling your dad does tell me how to stop them tell me!

The father shaking his son off of him reiterated: Mark this is me it's all me just me

Nolan looked at his hands covered in the mortals blood and realise that this wasn't the best place or the best look to have certain as he explained his true purpose: this isn't how I wanted to do things but I don't have another choice it's time for you to learn where we really come from

it was there where Nolan explained the true behind his lies the real planet that he came from how it wasn't a world was made into a paradise it was a world of kill or be killed how they wiped out half of their population in order to cold the week from their existence and the real reason why he was on earth as well as had Mark to begin with was to conquer Earth itself

Mark was devastated his tears began to form in his eyes: you...you lied to me

Nolan trying to put a positive spin on this: Mark this is good news we can finally do what we were meant to do-

Mark gulped as he realised that this was the crossroads that the monitor had told me about the moment that will decide whether he would become like that version he was meant to become or he would defy his destiny and become something else... The only problem is Mark didn't know which decision to make sure his father just split the immortal and have and told them that his entire life was alive but it would still his father and Mark had no idea what would happen if he disagreed maybe he would set him on the path to becoming a murderer anyway maybe if he joined up with the Empire he could actually help the Earth maybe he wouldn't be like that version he saw in vision that the monitor gave him

but then izuku's words echoed in his mind: this is your life your powers you decide how to use them don't let anyone else tell you

remembering that moment reminded Mark about what izuku stood for what he thought to give everyone a peaceful world without bloodshed... And that can world couldn't be born from bloodshed: no

Nolan's grip tightened: what?

Mark: no... I'm not gonna do it I'm not gonna help you take over the Earth just because you say it's right

Nolan getting frustrated with the disobedience: but it is the right thing to do Mark will be saving them from themselves we've already been doing it wasn't for me a new this world would be in flames!

Mark: then why the hell haven't done it already

Mark gritting his teeth realising what his father was going to say: that I was like you! And what if I wasn't I would just be another weak human to conquer! NO! This is insane what you think gonna happen I'm just going to enslave my friends for some aliens I never met! izuku is right this is my life my decisions I could use my powers which ever way I want and I don't want to take over the Earth izuku wouldn't agree to this and neither will I

Nolan's gritted his teeth and let out a sigh of anger trying not to be too angry with his sons... Opinion: Mark do you have any idea how long we live, the older we get the slower we age you understand that everyone you care about will be gone before you even look 30 your live to see this world bloated dust and crumble away and at the end of that what will be worth 17-year-olds dreamland... izuku is living in a fantasy you need to live in reality and the reality is earth will only prosper if it's under the Empire's protection

Mark  was horrified by the reservation that he was practically mortal body stand true to his beliefs remembering how even as hopeless as it looked deku never backed down not even for a moment: so what... So whether I live a fucking million years! This is my home and I won't let you destroy it and another thing izuku doesn't live in a fantasy well he has a dream a dream that I share and I live for that long a time and carry on his work I'll continue what he started make a world where heroes have too much time on my hands if he can't that's what I'll do with my life and I will make it worthwhile! I don't care about the fight 400 million thousand millennia I will do it

Nolan only getting more and more angry: you don't know what you're saying Mark you're throwing away something meaningful on a fantasy dream that will never come true!

Invincible raising his fists still terrified about what he was about to do: maybe... But it's a dream worth fighting for

Omni man realising that he had lost the argument for now close his eyes and let out a sigh: so be it I was wrong to let that boy influence you to train you... He's poisoned your mind with these stupid ideals perhaps after I kill him you'll finally decide to grow up

Under his mask, Mark's eyes wide and surprised before he could do anything though his father punched him to the ground creating a giant crater near the dead monster. Mark expected his father to come down and attack him, but he was able to get up and when he did, he looked and he saw his father was heading to somewhere else.

He didn't take long for Mark to realise: oh God izuku!

The superhero flew upwards as fast as he possibly could tackling his father in midair the two of them began a mid ass scuffle

Mark trying to get through to his father: no! I won't let you kill him

Nolan completely nonchalant about the whole thing: it's either now or in what 50 years what difference will it make? His life means nothing? Certainly not enough for you to dedicate your entire life to some idiotic dream.

Nolan punched his son away sending him flying through the air back in the control room. Debbie was horrified by what she had witnessed Nolan and basically confessed that he was going to kill a child as if it was just a normal day for him and right now her son and her husband were fighting each other she was heartbroken.

The monitor: Mark Grayson has made his decision. He has defied his fate... He has chosen to follow izuku and not his father

Cecil: yeah that's good and everything but now there's a new problem. Nolan's probably heading straight for. Izuku and Eve... And we still have no way of contacting her.

The monitor: yes we do

Cecil: well unless you're coming to teleport there directly and tell them which I doubt what exactly you talking about?

The monitor: gigantomachia

this confused Cecil Debbie and some of the other agents until Debbie remembered something she remembered what she saw the behemoth wear around his neck: a radio...gigantomachia has a radio around his neck!

Cecil's eyes widened they had a way: I want everyone looking through every single radio frequency there is we need to alert Eve and get her out of there along with the kid... Otherwise we're all screwed

Eve point of view

Today's off as it usually is for the past week me just hanging out in the treehouse with gigantomachia and an unconscious izuku since I wanted to remain completely off the radar I didn't bring my phone or any other technology, I didn't want to risk leading the league or whoever else to wear izuku is recovering, but that doesn't mean I have been sitting on my arse and just waiting for him to wake up. I've been trying to teach gigantomachia how to spell and count which is easier said than done

gigantomachia count: so there's one... Then two then three... Five?

I shake my head: no big guy you missed out for... It's OK this was only your first try counting to 5 let's try again

The behemoth: i'm sorry master you're trying to teach me things and I keep messing it up

I shake my head as I patched him on the side of the arm in a comforting manner: it's not your fault big guy... You're just a little behind for someone of your age okay now let's start again say it with me one

Before he could repeat what I said his radio around his neck started getting static, which is weird because I was pretty sure we turned it off from the static came a message. It sounded similar to Cecil's voice: eve... If you can hear me... Run Omni man gone rogue... Coming to kill... izuku

My eyes widen I wasn't sure if I heard that right but I did hear that he said that someone was on their way here to kill izuku how did they find us?... It didn't matter. I needed to get out of here and I needed to take him with me.

I turned to the behemoth: gigantomachia, grab izuku in his cocoon we're leaving!

gigantomachia: yes master

I don't have time to pack. I don't know how long it's gonna take for them to get here so once we have the cocoon, I order gigantomachia the place me and him on his back as he charges through the forest. I know this is probably bad for the environment but it's an emergency.

We need to get as far away from here as we can. It's our only hope. He charges through the forest at full speed we get at least 100 miles away from the treehouse in just a matter of minutes, but then I hear sonic boom and before I could even turn my head something smashes down into gigantomachia head as I'm flipped forward I use my powers to catch izuku in his cocoon as we fall to the ground I turned around to see army man standing on top of gigantomachia he's still breathing but... He looks like he's out cold

Omni man: don't worry he's not dead he could be useful later... Eve right? Your friend of my sons... Tell you what step aside and I'll let you live

I don't know if this is the real only man or this is just some guy pretending to be him, but he's crazy if he thinks I'm just gonna let him kill my friend: go to hell!

Omni man rolling his eyes: you try to be nice and they still don't listen

Get ready to fight bite before I can even do anything he grabbed me by the throat. I didn't even see him move. I can feel him choking me.

Mark comes screaming in: eve!

But Omni man grabs him by the throat with his other hand we both struggling for air. I tried throwing my energy being at him but nothing's working. It's just bouncing straight off of him

Omni man: fine the two of you want to die! for some insignificant delusional superhero, okay? You can watch him die!

He throws us to the side. Mark catches me, shielding me from most of the impact as we get from fruit trees.

Even from this distance, I can see Omni man getting closer to the cocoon. He punches through it like it was nothing and pulls izuku still unconscious by the throat
With tears in my eyes, I lunge forward a full speed mark right behind me but only man just sort his ass away as we get thrown into more trees in this time it hurt. I think I broke my arm and Mark looks beat up to his nose is bleeding And he's got a few cuts on his face and some bruising.

On me, man: all this effort to protect one miserable little human for what? What is he going to do? He's nothing don't you understand that?

Mark: you're wrong... He's more of a hero than any of us could ever be you wouldn't understand what he stands for something

In response to this omni man Mark's father twists izuku head and I scream as I hear the snap as izuku body falls to the ground no... It can't be

I scream at him: izuku! Please wake up you wouldn't let something like this kill you not like this! Come on, get up

Omni man: oh please what do you think he's going to do? He's going to magically get better. I snapped his neck. There's no coming back from that. if anything I think I've done him a favouri-

He was cut off by Mark screaming as he lunged forward tackling his father: I will kill you!!!!

It was only for a moment, but I saw tears in Mark's eyes as he forced his father away. I crawl over to izuku: izuku please wake up... I know you're still alive you have to be

I tried shaking him awake but nothing's working. He's still just lying there still: izuku! Please wake up you haven't left your Dream yet this world still needs you... I still need you!

He's still not moving he's not even breathing tears begin to form in my eyes as I just lie there on his chest: please don't leave me alone... I love you

And that's when I felt a beat... A heartbeat it was small but it was there... He's still alive come on izuku wake up!

Izuku point of view

Ow... Suddenly I felt a slight pain in my neck probably not important a bit of stiffness maybe assuming you can get stiffness in this place

I have no idea how long I've been here or where even here is the past users they come and go... To be there at a complete loss too there is even some other people that I don't recognise too well but they don't even know where they are they're not even sure who they are at first I thought I died and I went to heaven... Or maybe hell but then I realise that this probably isn't either partly because there's not like a fire like it would be in hell and I don't think heaven would have hands and building material floating around in midair.

I've been trying to figure a way out of this place, but like I said, I still have no idea where I am and every time I try leaving the porch where I'm at right now I just end up going in a big circle and end up back here so I just decided to stay put until... Something different happened

And just like that something did happen that was different and a normal circumstances for this place. I would be surrounded by silence for most of the time but I could hear a glimmer of a voice of voice I recognised.

It was Eve's voice and she sounded:please don't leave me alone... I love you

... She sounded really upset like she was crying okay? That's what was it? I need to get out of here and I need to get out of here now but... How?

Nana appeared in front of me: I'm not an expert and I certainly don't know what the hell is going on but... I would take a guess that we need to go in that direction

She was referring to the sudden bridge that appeared right in front of us a bridge that led up to all might

Or at least his essence anyway the other past users joined me along with our new... Companions who are similar to how all my looks if I'm there in different colours and in different shapes I can't quite make out what they look or who they're meant to be, but they do look familiar in someway

The essence of my mentor speaks to me for the first time: youngMidoriya ... This way

I walked towards him slowly, but confidently I'm not sure what is going on but I feel myself getting stronger as I walk towards him

Then suddenly out of nowhere hands grabbed me by the front and back and one grabs me by the face. I recognise the people doing it or... The manifestations that they are the one grabbing my face is my father as he grits his teeth as he yells at me.

My father: izuku you're worthless than a crybaby you're not worthy!

The other people holding me back where my former bullies laughing and snickering at me as they call me names

I realise now that these are all manifestations of my own weakness the things that have been holding me back my past and my pain... In order for me to walk forward I must let it go

I just walk forward through the manifestation of my father as the bullies let go of my hands. I can still hear them calling me names saying that I'm unworthy, but I have no doubt in my mind anymore.

I walk towards all might as I stepped through him: enough you will all see me as I am

And that's where we're leaving it off today yes again another cliffhanger I've been doing that a lot lately haven't I? And just so you know I will not be updating this fanfiction tomorrow because I really need a break from this one and I need to update my others I might update it tomorrow but it's not gonna be my first priority Okay I have other fanfiction that I need to deal with
