A talk at home with the Grayson's
Yes I changed the title it seemed better than what I was going with before
Marks point of view
When my dad got back, I was overjoyed he was back and he was safe and right now the world needed it because the news had reported about the guardians death but like Mum told me Cecil came up with an elaborate lie claiming that the guardians died on horribly against some insane villain that died with them she wasn't thrilled neither was I about lying how the guardians died but we did agree that this was probably better for the public to hear about instead of the guardians getting butchered and deku was completely kept out with the story as well
Dad looking at the TV screen and the news report: wait, they caught the person responsible for the guardians death while I was out?
I shake my head : no Dad it's just people thought it was better that the public thought that the guardians die heroically instead of getting butchered with no suspects the only people who really know the truth or anyone that's close to the guardians as well as us the rest of the guardians died in a giant battle and you were gravely wounded didn't Cecil tell you this?
He shakes his head and crosses his arms: no he didn't... I mean of all the backhanded things Ceil has done this is-
Mum, who was already making dinner: actually for once the backhanded idea wasn't Cecil
Dad: what really? this seems like something he would do Are you sure?
Mum nodded: yes and while I don't like it I do see the benefits in a lie like this. This way the public feels safer as well as it puts the person responsible for the crime on edge and if they slip up Cecil and the others will know who did it it's rather an ingenious plan. It's rather amazing that a 17-year-old came up with it.
Oh yeah, she must be talking about deku: wait Deku is the one that came up withthis? I never pictured him for the underhanded type.
mum: well apparently he's not. He's just copying a strategy that his world did and while he doesn't agree with it he does see the benefits for it he hates himself for coming up with such an idea, but since he wasn't able to help the guardians when they were alive, he thinks he should at least save their image
I suppose that is the least we can do. It's better that they were known for the heroes they were instead of how they died. Dad still seems confused: I'm sorry who is this deku and what do you mean? He couldn't help the guardians in their time of need?
Oh right, he probably doesn't know: oh right you probably passed out when he showed up Deku he was there when the guardians were attacked, but he only showed up afterwards and after he saw everything he fainted
Dad's eyes wide didn't he seemed nervous only for a split second but went back to his calm expression: oh... Did he see who was responsible?
I shake my head: no he didn't when he got there he was already going through dehydration and hunger and the shock of seeing the guardians... Bodies must've been a lot for him. He can barely remember anything I think he said the last thing he remembered was seeing you collapse on the floor, but that's it and he doesn't seem to be lying also he has no idea who the guardians were when he got there so if he did see someone attacking them, it's likely that he wouldn't know who to fight for for all he knew the attacker was the good guy in the guardians and you were the bad guys
Dad, even more confused than he was before: hold on how does he not know who I am and The guardians are?
Mum: apparently, he's from another universe...
My dad looks at her completely bewildered and confused she looks back at him and her hands on her hips and raises an eyebrow: really you don't believe that you're an alien from outerspace that can fly at the speed of light, you fought alongside someone who walked through history, you stopped a old God from destroying the world on marks seventh birthday and you're having trouble believing that there's alternative worlds... Really after everything you've seen that's what surprises you
I look at my dad who loses his surprises he thinks about it for a moment and shrugs and accept it: okay point taken... But how do we know he's not responsible for the guardians death? He could've killed them and beat me up and then played the victim.
Mum: Cecil checked his story. The boy has no record anywhere literally anywhere it's like he doesn't exist like he quite literally fell right out of the sky but his DNA is human to all the evidence shows that he was there after the guardians were murdered like he was just literally dropped in through a portal there were no footprints. Fingerprints belong to him anywhere else except to where they found him in the pool of blood. Also like Mark said he was going through dehydration and hunger. so even if he was planning on killing the guardians he wasn't in the best condition to do so honestly it's amazing that he was able to stay conscious for even a second after what he witnessed and what he's been through besides Cecil did a strength test on the kid while he was unconscious he's got energy flowing through his entire body, but even if his body was in peak condition. He probably wouldn't be able to beat you. I mean he might be able to hurt you but not to the extent they found you I have a hard time believing someone that was exhausted hungry and thirsty was capable of killing all the guardians and injuring you
I agree with her sure izuku is strong, but I don't think he's capable of beating my dad maybe he'd put up a decent fight but defeating him would be a whole different story: yeah I mean the guy knocked out one of my teeth-
dad: he knocked out one of your teeth (then turned his attention to mum) and you want him to stay with us
Mum: in his defence he spent the last month being chased by bounty hunters because of bounty put on him by some lunatic who wants to capture him and torture him for amusement. that'll Ceil said then he wakes up in a strange new place seeing a gruesome murder scene and then passes out waking up in hospital after being put on adrenaline he was probably confused and scared
yeah that's a good point honestly if I was in his position I probably would have done the same thing to: yeah he apologised he helped me overcome what I felt when the invasion first started after I couldn't save everyone... Is a really nice guy and from what I understand he's got a great bit of responsibility on the shoulders apparently he's the only one I can defeat this self-proclaimed Demon King apparently even though that name sounds childish he is very very dangerous as it really said why but he did kill over a thousand people in single attack and despite the fact of how powerful that guy is that's only one of the many many powerful beings that want to kill him apparently... Putting them in the context how many guys do you have come after you
dad looking at me confused: what are you even talking about
I shrug: well I'm just saying that it seems like having arch enemies/enemy is a big part about being a hero. Not saying it's a good thing I'm just asking do you have anyone that is like the bane of your existence
dad: okay you've been reading too many comic books and no I don't have an arch enemy... Because all the villains I come across I beat up and sent to jail
Mum: well technically apparently all for one that is name was in jail he just broke out... And in izuku defence this monster is apparently 200 years old and he's only 17 but eventually only started fighting against and when he turned 15... So if nothing else has been impressive that he put his archenemy in jail at such a young age
dad: are you saying that I don't do a good job of being a hero compared to this young man
mum: well know it's just... I'm just saying it's impressive to see a young man taken so much responsibility and since the person you're sending he was hoping that the guardians the global would be able to teach him I feel like it is only fair that perhaps you could teach a few things I mean already going to be training I think it would be good if Mark had training partner
I like that idea last one more guy from another dimension and if I'm being honest when we thought that ice guy, I was pretty much a useless if it wasn't for deku he's the one who came up with the whole plan, and more villains from his world are going to be coming over to ours. I should know more if I'm going to defend people.
However, my dad didn't seem to like this idea: why no I'm not teaching some kid I don't know combat from my heritage that it's very... sacred
Mum: really you've never said that before... And besides the boys still coming here he's got nowhere else to go and if more villains from his world come here it's probably a good thing that he's quite possibly the strongest man on the planet... Look you don't have to teach him but we can't just leave him out on the street. He's been doing that for the past month of his life.
Dad lets out aside he knows that there's no arguing with Mum once she's made up mind fine yes he can stay but under no circumstances I am teaching him anything and Mark you are not to learn anything from him either. We don't know who this boy is and I don't want him filling your mind with...ideas
And with that, he just goes up to get a shower. I'm happy that izuku's will be coming to live with us but I'm still confused. Why does my dad not want me to hang out with him? I mean I get that. It's suspicious a guy coming in from another dimension but he's not usually this... Paranoid well I suppose with the guardians Dad he just lost some dear friends so I guess it's understandable but still this isn't like my dad, but I'm sure it's nothing
