Izuku point of view
being down in the sewer is not how I expected today to go but when looking for missing people, you don't know what to expect

Still, I wish I knew about this sooner. I would've prepared better, but there's no time to waste. We need to find these missing people whatever took them obviously had a reason for that it and I'm just really hoping it wasn't food.

Going into the sewers alone would be a bad idea. I can't move around freely here. It's so cramped eve with me and that's good. Still, I'm not comfortable with putting her in this kind of danger.

Eve: gross... It stinks down here

Trying to lighten the mood, I make a joke: well it is a sewer it wouldn't be doing it job if it didn't smell

She gave me the death glare that I fear and also really enjoy when she uses it... On other people not on me

I just smile nervously as we begin walking through the sewer we are using the night vision goggles that I made so that we don't have to light up the tunnel

We walk for about five minutes and then eve starts up a conversation: you take me to the most exotic places

you don't need to be a genius to realise that was sarcasm: i'm sorry if I had known that we were going-

She chuckles: it's fine... Okay it's not great but it's OK. You didn't know still, you kind of wish that our dates aren't going to involve crawling through the sewer looking for missing people.

Yeah, that probably wouldn't be a good idea for a date plan: yeah you're right tell you what when this is over and we find those people and we are going to find them what if we go out on a date after that... Obviously we'll shower first

Eve nodded: that sounds great, but are you sure? I know how important your work is.

I smile as I placed my hand around her shoulder: your more important than that... this is my first relationship and I don't want it to be just all work work work. I want us to have an actual love life.

Eve: that's what I want too it's just with everything going on this the other villains the paranormal liberation front the Empire and the threat of a dark army coming to invade it just... It makes me feel like our relationship should take a backseat

Eve: know obviously not I just... I'm just beginning to realise how small some problems are in the grand scheme of things

I can understand that honestly I have to finding out the Multiverse was real. I felt so incredibly small but still it shouldn't change her perspective.: our relationship is important. It's important to me.

I interrupt her: with let's make it important it's just try to have one hour every day of not worrying about all of our problems if we're lucky maybe we'll get two I want to be with you eve I know that more than anything

I shake my head: no they're not here right now

and as if on queue, dark wing appears right in front of me, scaring me have to death and making Eve freak out too

Eve who obviously couldn't see dark wing got in a defensive position activated her powers and was ready for a fight: what is it! What's wrong?!

I took a deep couple of breasts and placed my hand on my chest making sure that my heart didn't stop: it's nothing it's just... Dark wind decided to jump scare me

dark wing: I'm sorry that was not my intention

Eve deactivated her powers: Jesus dark wing he has a heart condition

I finally able to breathe normally: it's alright to leave he's already apologised... So dark wing why did you suddenly appear?

Dark wing looked at his non-existent hands: i'm not sure... But I feel drowsy like I just woke up but I also feel incredibly angry

I raise an eyebrow and cross my arms: well that's interesting. You don't seem like that though.

dark wing: I know that's what's confusing me. I feel these feelings but it doesn't feel like they're my own... Like someone else is having them

I rubbed my head and rub my chin. That is interesting. The same thing happened with the immortal and the immortal counterpart that's inside one for all. But dark wing is dead he shouldn't be able to connect with his real body.

Whilst I was thinking about this eve tapped me on the shoulder: hi can I get an explanation for everyone here that can't see ghosts?

I realise my mistaken nod: right? Sorry dark wing is saying he's feeling drowsy like he just woke up and angry, but he says he doesn't feel them like they're his emotions like there's someone else else's.

he then disappears great just another mystery. I've gotta solve right now. I should focus on finding the missing people and Nikki if she's down here which I really really hope she's not.

once I assure that dark wing is gone, me and Eve continue moving forward the sewer down here are amazed luckily I know where we're going

Eve was still unsure: are you sure we're not going in circles? I mean the sewer look all the same to me and we've been walking for like 20 minutes and we still haven't found anything.

I show her the map that is displayed in a holographic projection: trust me we're not going in circles I factored in the disappearances with the sewer system map that Jarvis provided logging into where all the disappearance has took place and where they were taken into the sewer there's a key point where all of the abduction sewer escape point meet up and I'm assuming that is where we'll find the missing people and whatever took them

Eve nod: okay good to know honestly the sooner we get out of here the better this place give me the creeps and it stinks

I cannot disagree. I feel like I'm walking straight into a horror movie maybe I should try changing the topic of conversation something more positive: so... After we're done here any idea where you would wanna go out on a date like anywhere in pacifically or...

Eve: are you seriously asking me out on a date while we're in the sewer looking for missing people as well as whatever monster took them?

As always, she's right it's amazing. I can create a generator that can power an entire city and I can make it so small that it could fit in a watch, but I can't understand how to date. How's that for a misnomer.

we continued walking and chatting and so far everything was going okay. I didn't feel like we were being watched Jane since wasn't going off except when I almost stepped in... Something I rather not discuss

I was beginning to think that the sewer idea was a bust until we came across something that literally looked straight out of a horror movie

what in the name of... literally anything is all this the sewer had been torn up and rebuilt in some twisted fashion. This place practically screamed imminent death.

Eve staying close to me as we walked into the sewer that had been changed: what is this?

I have Jarvis examine what this stuff is, but he comes back claiming that he has no idea nothing here is from an earthly sample

as we continue walking through this time being more carefully and quietly danger sense starts to ping there's no immediate threat. I don't think it's just telling me to turn back whatever this is even dangerous sense can pick it up.

As I look around at this bizarre reconstruction: this sort of reminds me of a hive like for bees

That I don't know, but there's something just nagging at the back of my mind. There's something familiar about this: I'm not sure but... I feel like I've seen this before

I shake my head: maybe I don't know... I've been racking my brain around it but I just can't think of any villain would or could do something like this and yet it seems so familiar like it's staring at me right in the face

Just as I got closer, I nearly jumped out of my skin when Cecil's voice came through my earpiece: kid, are you there?

Grabbing my chest again, making sure my heart doesn't stop: yeah I'm good... Except you nearly gave me a heart attack. This isn't really a good time Cecil

Cecil: sorry to interrupt your date kid but we need your help

Eve comes in through the earpiece: unfortunately it's not a date we are underneath Chicago looking for the missing people and we found... Well we're not sure what we found but it's definitely not supposed to be here

Cecil voice sounded went from slightly annoyed to now curious: why what is it? Have you found the people?

not exactly: not really but we're on the trail and we've definitely found something that could lead us to them... But we don't know if they're still alive still whatever this is it needs investigating we seem to have stumbled onto some sort of...nest I think and judging from the looks of it it goes on for at least another 3 miles in every direction

Cecil: well okay then, keep investigating kid sorry for interrupting

well, now I'm slightly curious why he called in the first place: well now I'm curious why did you call?

Cecil: we've been getting multiple sightings of... Dark wing in midnight city

Me and Eve look at each other with widen surprise expressions is it just a coincidence or could this actually be connected to how dark wind was feeling earlier?

Eve trying her best to act: really that's... Interesting but it can't be dark when he's... Well you know

Cecil respond: maybe but his body was stolen by those sick bastards. They could've brought them back as one of their Nomu abominations. At least that's the working theory anyway.

he hung up and even I will once again left be alone in the horror of where we were and that's when danger started peeing again. I just couldn't shake it. Something about this was so familiar it was almost like I'd seen it before.

I walk closer to the wall and then I hear a hissing sound as the wall jumps forward but it's not a wall. It's what's inside of it.

I jump back in surprise it's not possible it can't be the creature roar as it revealed itself, but I still couldn't believe it

Neither could the past users my grandmother being the first: that cannot be real!

The first user: I wish it wasn't so but it definitely seems real

The fifth user: it's just not possible I mean... Those things don't really exist

The seventh: yeah try explaining that to him

The creature landed you add me and I was still too surprised to do anything. Luckily my girlfriend put up a barricade. The creatures, lamb and Claude against it using its tail it really is like it.

Eve struggling: izuku what are you doing?! get up!

I scurry to my feet as the barricade smashes into pieces and the Xenomorph lunges at me. I grab it by its mouth and then I remember why you should never do that.

I pull my head back narrowly avoiding getting chomped by its extra set of teeth dammit this creature strong if I could just go all out I would crush it but I have to be careful. There are people above us.

I call out to my girlfriend: eve when I push this thing away, hit it with a sore blade but do it from a distance! Okay

I could barely hear her as I was dodging the Xenomorph tale whilst avoiding it's extra set of teeth that we're trying to jump into my face

But I think she got the message. I increased my strength and used float to get up in the air and kick the creature away from me. That's when a giant beam of pink energy sliced right through it cutting it in half.

And just like in the movies when the creature bled acid came out

Eve: what the fuck was that?

I'm still shocked: that... Is a Xenomorph and unfortunately where there is one Xenomorph there are usually thousands more!

narrators point of view

after the first battle with what was supposed to be a fictional character, the two superhero couple continue their search for the civilians that were taken

This time they were keeping a close distance away from both sides of the wall and were constantly on guard

Eve was still curious how her boyfriend knew about these creatures: OK so... What are these things Some sort of nomu

Deku shook his head as he constantly kept danger sense up: no they're aliens

This only confused Eve further: wait I thought you said you don't have aliens in your world or at least you don't know if you do

Izuku: yeah that's right

Getting even more confused: okay then how do you know about these things?

Izuku: because their characters in a horror sci-fi movie

The girlfriend was now completely lost: what?

her boyfriend tried to explain the best he could: they called Xenomorph's they're the monsters in a series of movies called alien there aliens that are essentially similar to animals

Eve: okay if that's just supposed to be movie monsters how exactly are we ending up in a real ones nest? Could it be that someone's using that quirk to create them? Bring them to life or something? Is that possible?

Deku shook his head: no it isn't the only quirk that's remotely close to something like is new order and even that can't physically create life not like this anyway

Eve: but then how-

Izuku: i'm not sure but I think it's got something to do with the Multiverse. I mean a Multiverse of infinite possibilities means....

Eve understood what he was saying: a world where the monster and a horror movie is real... OK willing to accept that so what do we do? How do we beat these... Xenomorph things?

Izuku: we would have to kill all of them. That's the only way to stop them but a good way to slow them down would be to kill the queen everything starting to make more sense now why they took people.

Eve: OK why did they-

suddenly, a child's voice echoed in the hallway, but it was small almost like a whisper: to make more of them

The two heroes spun around and found a little girl hiding in the darkness of a corner curled up in a bowl. She was practically skin and bone. She looked like she hadn't eaten in days.

The two immediately dropped that guard and went over to the little girl

Izuku: oh my God, are you okay?

The little girl nodded. Her body was so weak that she could barely manage that: i'm okay do you... Do you have any food?

he immediately used her powers to make some food and water for the little girl. She grabbed them instantly and started chugging the water and eating the apple like there was no tomorrow.

it was then when the two heroes realised who this little girl was it was Nikki she was alive: wait are you Nikki?

Nikki looks surprised: how... How do you know my name? Who are you?

Eve: we're friends sweetie. Someone reported you missing and we were looking into it. It's what brought us here. We came looking for you and everyone else who has been taken. Do you know where everyone else is?

Nikki's eyes widen as she started to roll back-and-forth, terrified: they're dead...they're all dead all dead all dead all dead

She was having a meltdown izuku hugged the little girl tightly trying to calm her down Eve also did the same thing

Nikki calm down a little bit, but her eyes were covered in tears: they're all dead I'm sorry... They're all dead

Izuku: listen to me. It's not your fault I know what these things do to people Nikki... And I just have to ask did any of those things put something on your face? Do you remember that?

Nikki shook her head repeatedly: no no I swear I didn't. I...I got away.

Izuku nodded: okay I believe you've just calm down. OK... Calm we're here now it's gonna be OK.

Eve loved seeing the nature side of her boyfriend. She did wish that it could happen on a more happier. Surrounding.

Eve: Nikki, can you tell us what happened? How did you get down here?

Nikki pulled herself out of the hug: it was getting close to night and I was just going back home after a meal at the community centre. I decided to cut through an alleyway and that's when something jumped out from the sewer and grabbed me. It dragged me down here...

Izuku: okay Nikki, you're being really brave. Can you tell us where they took you?

She shook her head: I... I don't know I was passed out for most of the journey when I woke up, the creature was casing me in some sort of stuff and other people there too... Some of them were dead there bodies had massive holes in them at first I thought it was gonna kill me but then it brought an egg to someone else and I saw... I saw what it was gonna do to me!

Eve passing the girl on the back in a calming man: shhh it's okay it's okay you don't have to tell us, but how did you get away?

Nikki: the bastard must've thought I wasn't as strong as I was I was able to slip out and I just ran. I've been trying to get out... For a days weeks. I don't know how long I've been down here. How long have I been down here?

It was clear that they weren't gonna get any more information out of her. Nikki had gone into shock understandable given the circumstances and even though it did seem like the other people that were taken were already dead there was still a small chance that some of them were alive.

Nikki went back to rolling back-and-forth and the heroes took this time to discuss some stuff amongst themselves

Eve: OK what do we do? We can't leave her here and about what she said. Do you really think they're all dead?

Izuku: it's possible, but there's also a very small chance that some of them are still alive We need to find them before it's too late.

Eve turned her attention to Nikki: what are we gonna do about her? We can't leave her here and we certainly can't take her with us and I don't like the idea of us splitting up either.

Izuku looked at the girl that was still rolling back-and-forth, repeating the same words over and over again this place wasn't safe for her and they for sure couldn't take her with them but they also couldn't abandon the people that might still be alive

Izuku pulled out his own miniature teleporter: hey Nikki, look at me

The little girl looked up at the hero with tears in her eyes still visibly shaking: someone told me that you were friends with the Martian man

She nodded: yeah... I was I really miss him

Izuku: I know that sweetheart believe me I understand how you feel... I'm sure that the Martian man would be very proud of you right now because you've been very brave, but what we need you to do is be brave again okay?

She looked at him, confused as he showed her his device: what's that?

Izuku: it's my own miniature teleporter what I need you to do for me I need you to stay here with this very important device will be back soon. We just need to go check to make sure that if there are still people out there that they can get out here safe but I need you to do is very important. I need you to hold onto that device if we're not back within 10 minutes press this button and it will teleport you out of here okay?

Eve realised what her boyfriend was doing and she open the phone and gave it to Nikki on a stopwatch for 10 minutes: when that thing hit zero, you teleport with or without us and if you get into any trouble before that you teleport don't worry about us okay? Can you do that?

Nikki still visibly shaken, but she managed to put on a small smile: okay... I'll be brave just like Martian man was

Izuku smiled as he handed her the device and gave her one last hug: that's right I promise you everything will be okay

Nikki nodded: OK I can do that... Be careful where you're going... I never seen anything like it

The two heroes not and once again promising Nikki that they would return they made their way through the nest this time a little quicker because they were on the clock

Eve: are we getting closer?

Izuku: we should be in fact you should be right around this... Oh my God

They arrived in a big clearing people cocooned into the wall unconscious eggs of enormous size placed all over the room

As they got closer, they realised that some of the people were not alive anymore. They had massive holes in their chest.

The taste of vomit hit the back of Eve's throat. She had seen a lot of things as her time as a superhero but this was a whole new level of messed up.

Eve: oh my God, why did they do this? What were they looking for inside of these people?

Izuku: they weren't looking for anything. The thing inside of the person wanted to find a way out.

Eve: wait are you saying they use humans as some sort of incubator and then they burst out of the chest?

Izuku: yeah... It's disgusting. I know let's just get as many people as we can out of here Jarvis scan for life signs

The AI assistant scanned the nest: unfortunately sir out of the numerous bodies here only three are alive... And one seems to be carrying two life forms

Izuku: oh no that means one of them is already been infected... But it's not game over maybe we can remove it

The two of them began trying to rip the people out from the restraints. They were unconscious, but it was clear that they were alive. One was a female construction worker presumably the one they were looking for the other was an elderly man. The final one was a young man who appeared to be 20.

They tried waking the people up, but it didn't work. They were out cold. Izuku slung two of them over his shoulder while he used her powers to carry the other.

As she did, she noticed something that terrified her: izuku...

Her boyfriend turned to her and saw what he had scared her so much the eggs were opening

Izuku: we need to get out of here now!

The two of them started running as fast as they could while carrying the two civilians as they were running they had drawn the attention of the hive who were chasing behind them in their swarm

Eve looking behind her: Jesus Christ how are there so many?!

Izuku: don't think about it just keep running!

The the swarm was catching up to them they would've run faster but they were carrying civilians. It wasn't that they were slowing down but if they went full speed it was possible that they would hurt them so they just continued running at a reasonable speed enough to keep ahead, but not enough to rip the civilians in into pieces

They managed to make it to where they left Nikki. They called out to her and she came out of hiding and she saw the monsters behind them. She was horrified. He quickly made a barricade big enough to stop the monsters in their tracks but not for long there were so many of them and they were so strong they were beginning to crack a barricade already.

Izuku: Nikki, you need to press the red button. It will teleport us all out of here!

Nikki began pressing down on the red button, but it wasn't working: it's not working it's busted!

Izuku grab hold as a device and press the button. It wasn't working.: dammit something wrong eve hold them off for as long as you can!

Eve using both hands to keep the barricade up as more and more of a Xenomorph piled onto it and more cracks are beginning to form

Flipping the machine back izuku began trying to rewire his device. He wasn't sure what was going wrong but he didn't have time to check. They just needed one small jump back up to the surface and then they were home free.

Eve struggling: baby hurry up!

Xena Morse continue to slam their heads and tales against the barricade. Some of them were starting to bleed, which only made it that much more difficult to hold the forcefield up as their acid blood began forming its own cracks.

Izuku quickly put two more wise together and the machine activated: it's working!

Eve: then get us out of here before-!

The forcefield broke it'll happen in slow motion Nikki out of instinct grabbed hold of the green haired superhero izuku grabbed hold of his girlfriend and use black whip to grab the civilians as he pressed the button. One of the Xenomorph is grabbed eaves leg as they all vanished from the nest.

On the surface somewhere in the neighbourhood, there was a loud thud as the heroes had teleported to a nearby neighbourhood and unfortunately a Xenomorph had to join them in the ride

Izuku got up and punched the Xenomorph off of his girlfriend right into a truck that was just passing by

The truck hit the Xenomorph for the square on killing it as it went under the tires

The truck driver immediately stopped and got out and saw the people in the road

The truck driver went over to them in a panic: oh my God I'm so sorry are you guys? OK...? Oh no did I hit someone?

Eve out of breath: yes you did... Thank you so much

The truck driver looked confused and then they pointed to what he hit and he realised what he hit was not human and was leaking acid

Izuku who's legs had finally given out underneath him: well... I can cross that of the list of things I never thought I would do fighting a Xenomorph that's one for the history books in my world

Eve: yeah... How do you know so much about those things anyway you don't really seem like a horror movie guy

Izuku: I'm not one of my friends was a major fan of of the alien franchise... Actually she wanted to call herself alien queen as a hero name thankfully miss midnight put a stop to that she is going to be so jealous but slightly relieved that we went through this

Eve noted has she grabbed hold of her boyfriend pulling him into a hug this wasn't like what she did with Rex when they were together after a mission this was something different Usually they would celebrate by screaming out loud saying they did it while Rex did anyway this just felt like a silent victory.

Nikki: I do hate to interrupt this moment but where are we?

They looked around. They appeared to be in a neighbourhood a neighbourhood that Eve recognised.: oh God, you've gotta be kidding me

Izuku confused: what? What is it?

She pointed to across the street to our house

It was her house or rather her parents house her parents that she hadn't seen in months or spoken to either

Izuku could immediately sense that something was wrong here: I'm guessing that

Eve: my parents house yeah... Of all the places I can't see how this day could get any worse

Izuku: actually, my communicator got lost in the teleportation and we need to contact someone about the people so... We're gonna have to go inside

Eve felt like just going back in the sewer and letting the monsters take her: great... Is it too late to go back in the sewers?

Izuku: actually, yeah, because it gets worse those things are still down and unfortunately I didn't see a queen there either which means... I don't think we've seen the last of the Xenomorph is

Deep under Chicago underneath even the sewers, there was a cave covered in utter darkness, but a small bit of light illuminated what was there and what was there was death just waiting in its egg

Hundreds if not thousands of eggs laid dormant waiting to be taken up to find a body to attach in the dark darkness the sounds of hissing that could send a shiver down your spine

I still can't believe it. I got called away from my mission to check up on some rumoured new dark wing going on a rampage in midnight city

I should be tracking down the Homelander he's much more dangerous than some copycat, but that's not what izuku would do according to see this dark wing had been killing people criminals but for minor crimes nothing worth the death penalty

Cecil contacting me through my earpiece: we received multiple reports more so today than usual apparently whoever this is has become more violent

Well, that sounds great: by more violent what do you mean?

Cecil explained: well according to this just 10 minutes ago, dark wing jumped out of nowhere and ripped people to shreds that's what we got from the phone call before it got cut out

Okay, catching someone pretending to be a hero sort of what I was planning to do today I've always actually been kind of curious about midnight city anyway I mean everyone says it's cursed but is that like a metaphor or...

I fly just into the fresh hold of midnight city and I find out that it's actually literal

When I flew in here, it was midday now it looks like it's the dead of night the wind is heavy here almost like it's whispering in my ear. It's creepy.

Cecil: midnight City been a virtual no man's land since the midnight magician cursed it back in 2002 continuous darkness summertime on the dark side of the moon

I fly back out to the outside of the city and that's when it's sunny again and bright and the wind is gentle. I fly back into midnight city and everything goes completely 180. It's incredibly weird. How does that even work?

I go back back-and-forth because it's kind of amusing it's like jumping from night to day

Cecil interrupted my playtime: if you're done messing around, get to work or do you want me to tell? Izuku that you were slacking off, he might increase your training if that's the case.

The thought of going head to head with that walking mountain again is not something I will find appealing so I just get back to work. I fly through the city and it's is a little warzone. I'm finding dead bodies everywhere some of them are even skeletons.

What the hell happened? oh wait, I know my dad when he killed Darwin he killed the only defender of the city and if this place has been without someone to defend it and then no wonder it's fallen into chaos but why would someone pretend to be dark wing and dark wing didn't kill people.

I mean, I could definitely understand someone feeling the need to take up the mental, but still if they were trying to live up to dark wing they wouldn't kill people: Cecil what exactly do you think this is? A copycat or someone trying to destroy the name of dark wing

Oh that's right. I forgot the bodies of the original guardians of the globe was stolen all except for immortal presumably by the paranormal liberation front. This could be their version of dark wing turned nomu.

OK now I'm slightly worried okay a lot worried I've never fought one of those things before and I know how strong they are: OK hypothetically if it is that what do you want me to do?

Cecil: well if it is that we want you to fight it we also want you to try and bring him back to us in one piece. It's possible that will be able to connect with dark wings, soul or something if we're lucky we might get our dark defender back
