The cleanup of Chicago is continuing.: it's been a month since Omni man's true intentions have been revealed to us how he planned to take over the world how invincible turned against his own father to defend it and how a young green haired man put a stock to his plan only for another evil to emerge

The screen then displayed images ofall for one: no one knows the name of this vile villain or what happened to him. We are getting reports that he has died but without proof of a body we still do not know even after all the destruction even after Chicago life moves on and is important for all of us too. Continue to move forward.

easier said than done I turn off the telly and focus back on the test that I was given

it's been a month now since my dad revealed his true intentions earth and how he told me that I was supposed to help him take over the world only for him to get beaten by my now best friend and for his powers to be somewhat taken by a lunatic who then destroyed Chicago ... Yeah we're still recovering from that

things have been getting better thanks to twice and the other form of villains who have now recovered and are helping out with the cleanup. Chicago is slowly being put back together but they say it's going to take years to recover from that kind of damage.

and I should be out there helping except there's one problem Jarvis: mark you have gotten 25 percent of the questions wrong in your test you will require more studying

Jarvis, my new digital tutor he's been tutoring me for the past few weeks whilst I've been put on the bench for superhero duty why you ask Well let's go back a few weeks.

Flashback

three weeks ago, I was in Izuku workshop as he was rebuilding the time machine or rather figuring out how it was put together: I still don't understand why you want to rebuild that thing didn't it? Nearly I don't know cause the end of our timeline.

Izuku: yes well getting to study a time machine is... is something I never thought I would be able to do. I'm just figuring out how it was put together once that happens I'll take it apart. I just wanna know how this thing works. I mean how is this made in the 1800s? What power source does it have? And why did someone make it all these questions that I want to have answered and I only will get them answered if I rebuild it

Eve: one of things I love about you is your creativity and your desire to learn more... Plus the fact that you're adorable when you do it but seriously be careful last thing we need is another explosion causing younger version of us to be brought into the present

I chuckle as I come up with a thought: or worse elderly versions of us I'd rather not see what my future will hold

Izuku: don't worry it's only a partial project when I'm really working on is something else... Since the monitor is pretty much ghosted us and with whatever the hell that thing was one of my past self, I'm working on a way of sensing them

Eve: you mean you could actually track a celestial being?

Izuku: not exactly... Jarvis display the information

in front of us was a holographic projection of what appeared to be the monitor and that shadow guy 3-D hologram version

The robot AI explained : I monitored the appearance of these... Celestial beings and it appears that they have a unique frequency monitor is obviously stronger than shadows considering that what we saw wasn't actually his physical form but it appears that the two of them are sort of like opposite positive and negative energy the monitor being positive

Eve interrupted : and let me guess the shadow being negative energy

Izuku: yeah I'm from the little data we've managed to gain from both of them. It appears that they do have a unique frequency that applies to them the two of them as well as possibly any other celestial being that might decide to show

Oh, I get it so if we just look out for this unique frequency: so just so I'm getting this 100% correct if you can create something that can detect this unique frequency you'll be able to track celestial beings

Izuku shook his head: absolutely not I'll just be able to tell when they're gonna show up... By an extra 10 seconds still considering how the shadow just popped in and pretty much beat the crap out of us 10 seconds may make all the difference

He's not kidding, shadow pretty much kicked my butt with a simple flick of his fingers. I was in a wall and my ribs were broken. I don't even think my dad hit me that hard. I'm lucky to be alive and that wasn't even his real body and I wanna imagine what kind of nightmare he is in person

Eve: so detecting a tracker that will give us a 10 second Headstart against celestial beings... Seems sort of useful but again what can we do against celestial beings? I mean the word celestial kind of means essentially God... can we really defeat one?

Izuku: we won't know unless we have more information and I think the best way we can do that is if we find the monitor wherever he is even though the two have different energy sources it's pretty much clear that they are almost exactly the same if we can find the monitors weakness

I nod: then we can find shadows weakness alright? I'll admit that's pretty cool... So what are we doing? In the meantime? Should we help out with the cleanup of Chicago?

Jarvis: actually we already are Tony Stark may have deleted my data banks however I was able to salvage a design for something... May I introduce the drone X1C 32 mark

it was a holographic projection, but I got her admit it looks impressive way better than robots design much more colourful too

Izuku: these drones were designed by Tony Stark to be used in situations just like the one in Chicago to help rescue people as well as keep the public safe they've got no weapons to speak of but they're incredibly strong and thanks to Jarvis. They have an AI system that allows them to examine debris and get people out of there as well as cleanup the debris as well and with twice as clones of invincible helping out Chicago should be cleared out in less than three weeks... The reconstruction however is going to take some time

Eve: well that shouldn't be that hard surely Tony Stark would've come up with something that could rebuild buildings right... And if not maybe I could use my powers to-

Izuku raised his voice:no!

we both look at him surprised that he would actually yell and he looks away sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his head: sorry... Eve I get that you want to help but you building buildings may not be a good idea

Eve: why not? I could build buildings within seconds that would save tons of time for the construction crew and would give people without shelter homes how is that a bad thing?

Jarvis: we mean no disrespect Samantha Eve Wilson, but unfortunately building is not exactly an easy thing to do even with superpowers. I believe what izuku is referring to is a group of people who used to refer to themselves as the new Olympians back when our world was trying to get back to some sense of normality

Izuku: exactly these guys called themselves new Olympians because they had power similar to the Olympian gods they had good intentions they tried to regrow crops build buildings help people the problem is... They thought that their power roll they were gonna need one of them grew crops and for a while at work until they realise that they drained all the nutrients from the soil and made it unable to grow any more crops because they grew them out of season

Jarvis continued: and to the one who tried to create buildings using their power... It did work they provided homes for millions of people however the buildings quickly collapsed due to them being unstable as well as not checked for proper safety measures

Izuku: it was a real disaster and even though the new Olympians were trying to do good they ended up doing more harm and it's also taught my people that we can't just use our powers without properly understanding what they are and what they capable of... I know you wanna do good eve and I love you for that but it might not be best to jump the gun maybe if you wanna do something like that you should become an architect that way then you can build buildings properly that will last and stand

Eve: well I'd be lying to say if I wasn't compelled to argue but considering your world's got way more experience with superpowers, I'll take your word for it so I wish there was something I could do

Jarvis: you could provide the building materials needed to create the buildings

Eve shrugged: alright I guess that's better than nothing

I guess that makes sense. If I don't use my powers properly I could end up killing someone by accident because it really goes to show you need to know what you're capable of and right now for me. I don't know what that is. I'm supposed to be evil right? So maybe there should be some sort of contingency plan against me. I don't wanna think about it, but it's possible that I might turn bad one day.

Jarvis: as for a possible reconstruction machine there was something in my files. It's called a microrobot however all I have in my files as an image no schematics no designs not even what this machine would be made out of Mr Stark didn't want this falling into the wrong hands along with most of his designs.

Izuku: yeah my ancestor was a genius, from what Jarvis has shown me from the files he was able to dig up in his code Tony Stark wasn't just a genius. He was a revolutionary some of the things that Jarvis is dug up... It's better than some of the technology that we have now in my world Tony Stark was definitely ahead of his time... And unfortunately the only way people remember him now is the notorious ladies man/inventor that went mad and pretty much destroyed his company... That's how people remember not as the first superhero but as a guy who lost his mind in the desert have to be kidnapped

yeah, that's a letdown: still you can re-create some of his stuff, can't you?

Izuku: maybe but that's not the reason why I called you to hear what I need from you is to... Not be superheroes for awhile maybe but that's not the reason why I called you to hear what I need from you is to... Not be superheroes for a while

me and Eve looked at each other for a second confused surely we couldn't have heard that correctly

I look at my friend confused: what do you mean? You don't want us to be superheroes?

Izuku: correction I don't want you to be superheroes right now the paranormal liberation Army know who is the two of you are and they've made abundantly clear that they're planning on releasing that information the fact that they haven't right now is still a mystery but we need to find a way to make that claims seem fake

Eve: okay I agree with you on that but how exactly are we going to do it by not being superheroes?

Izuku: well that's kind of simple I'm sure you to remember twice he can make clones of the two of you... they'll be doing the superhero work while the two of you need to be as public as possible post things on social media hang out with your friends get seen on camera anything that we can use to prove to the fact that you aren't invincible or Atom Eve after all you can't be in two places at once

I get the idea and it does sound like a good one, but I don't like it: can't make clones of us in our civilian form and they take on that role. I feel like we could do better than any clones.

Izuku: that may be true but... Mark and please don't take this in any offense but you need to graduate high school and currently judging by your grades you're not going to therefore I've asked Jarvis to tutor you to get your grades up as for Eve ... Please don't think this is weird but Jarvis has been scanning you and there's something peculiar happening with you

Eve: okay ignoring the fact that your personal AI has been scanning me what exactly is the problem? I don't feel any different.

Jarvis: it's actually a bit more complicated than that. We're not entirely sure how your powers work but something is definitely different about you since your... Battle with all for one and you're near death experience your cells have been acting differently and until we discover what's going on. It's best that you do not use your powers unless absolutely necessary.

Eve: okay I guess so but I mean I have a mental block that stops me from manipulating living cells. I mean, I've been able to break past limit after I was dramatically traumatised before and nothing strange happened after that. Why is this many different?

Izuku: it might be because you technically used your power on yourself to rebuild your body like we just don't know what's going on and I would feel a lot safer if you took some time please I'll take you out on a date

Eve smiled: alright fine but only because you promised to take me out and I get to decide where we're going

He nodded still I don't like this idea: I I still think it would be better if I helped out with the cleanup of Chicago... Besides my high school was destroyed. I don't really think there's gonna be any graduation anytime soon.

Izuku: that may be true, Mark, but there's another reason you've been through a lot your dad turning out not to be the man you thought he was... Him running away to who knows where and the monitor telling you that you and your girlfriend are never listen to work out... Not to mention the fact that he also told you that you're supposed to be evil mark I generally think it would be good if you take some time for yourself and just try to figure it out please we all need a break now and then

Flashback over

I didn't very much like it, but he had a point having these past couple of weeks off and being able to hang out with William it's been nice. It's made me feel like my world isn't on fire right now but they still comes the problem the Amber problem I do care about her I do but now knowing that we're never meant to work out... I just feel like I'm leading her on

I know I should break up with her, but ever since my dad revealed his intentions, she's been there for me and I can't just dump her just because some interstellar God tells me that it's not gonna work out still... Considering how crazy things are maybe I should break up with her the sooner the better keep her out of danger and it'll give her a chance to move on with her life and me too graduating high school is going to be challenging enough being a superhero mixed in with that is a struggle on his own but adding in a girlfriend I'm juggling too many things

I think I need to focus what's more important to me saving the world and helping izuku make his dream come true or Amber... I just wish there was a clear answer

Jarvis interrupted my train of thought: I'm sorry Mark but this is no time to be dozing off your graduation is fastly approaching and you are still a few grades down from graduating you must get your grade Job if you ever hope to enter into college

I roll my eyes he sounds worse than Mum: yeah yeah, I know thank you for the reminder
