Today, I woke up early 1 hr early than I usually wake up. All due to the excitement that was bottled up in me from yesterday evening.

I finished my morning chores, had breakfast and stepped outside the building.

30 minutes had already passed since I stepped out from my house and I had not got a single auto to go to the office. Having no other option I had to book an Uber cab which took another 10 mins. The whole context of telling you all this is I AM VERY LATE, VERY VERY LATE.

By the time I reached office I was late by 1 hr. So directly instead of wasting any time, I ran to Agasthya's cabin. As I reached his cabin, I knocked and heard his strong "come in ".His voice told me that he was angry. Actually, scratch that he was very very angry.

" I am really sorry that I was late " I said in a very guilty voice as I entered in his cabin.

" Just shut up !! Don't you think you should inform me? Yesterday I made it very clear that you will be reporting to me! Didn't you find it necessary to tell me that you are going to be late " he said in a very cold voice which gave me shivers, Shivers of FEAR?

"I am sorry " I murmured looking straight in his eyes.

" go to Vihaan, he will tell you everything. Now get out !" he said in a loud voice. I just walked out of his cabin and went to the cabin beside it (Vihaan 's cabin ).

" where were you ? He was really angry " Vihaan asked in a concerned voice as soon as I entered his room .

" arre it was auto strike and I didnt know , After 30 mins of waiting I got a cab " I replied

" but you should have told me na ? So that I could inform him ! He was waiting for you Ananya , but as you came late he thought that you have taken him for granted ." he said in a soothing voice to make me feel better .

" I get it Vihaan but he is just not ready to listen and I will not run behind him to explain myself . Its all because of this stupid crush agr yeh nahi hota toh I would have not been insulted like that that too without hearing my part . I will just assist him for few days and then I will change my department " I replied to him in a defeated tone .

" Hmmm okay " he said and explained me my duties . He also told that from today onwards I will be sitting on this floor right infront of HIS cabin .

Great!! Please note the sarcasm.

After showing me my desk , he gave me the reports of particular company and told me to copy them in the system .

" So many reports ?? " I asked him seeing the files of the report .

" Yes !! Agasthya told me to give this to you and also you have to complete this by the end of the day " he replied in a sorry tone .

" No problem, I will do it . " I said in a confident tone and went towards my desk . As soon as I sat on my chair , my eyes met his . He was looking at me with a raging expression and I just looked at him with a disappointed look . After few seconds , I broke the eye lock and started to work on the files which were given by him .

I was busy typing the files when someone tapped on my shoulder . I turned around and saw she was Neha . She asked me to join her for tea and I refused . At that point of time , I realised that I was so busy working that I had skipped my lunch break . So I decided to have a twix that is always in my bag (ICE) .

After having the chocolate , I got back on my work as still few reports were pending .

After sometime

I heard Vihaan calling me .
" so how much is left? " he asked .

" ohh I think it would take 1 more hour " I replied .

" okay , so do you want me to wait for you ? " he asked as we three ( me , Vihaan and Neha) always head home together .

" No you go , it may take time and say bye to Neha " I replied .

" okay bye then " he replied and left . I was looking in the direction of Vihaan when my eyes again met his . This time there was no anger on his face but I just looked away and carried on with my work . I was typing furiously when I heard the door the clicked . As I was sitting just infront of his cabin . It didnt take time for me to know that he has come out .

" Are you done with your work " he asked me .

" No sir " I replied in a cold tone without looking at him .

" Okay ! Wrap it for today . You can continue the work tomorrow ." he said .

" No sir , You wanted the work today right , so I will finish it now only " I taunted and replied .

" Stubborn " he muttered and went back to his cabin .

It was 8 pm by the time , I completed my work . He was still in his cabin , so I went towards his cabin and knocked . I went inside to see him sitting there with his eyes closed .

" Sir , I am done with my work . " I said in a cold tone .

" Okay , you can leave for the day " he replied without opening his eyes and I left his cabin , packed my bag and walked out of the office . I was not getting any cab since it was late but then a sleek dark blue BMW stopped infront of me . Before the person rolled his tinted windows down I knew the person although it was dark .

Yes , it was him...

   As the windows rolled down, my doubt was cleared. It was indeed him.

" Can I give you a ride ?" he asked in his deep voice.

" No sir, I will manage, " I said and looked away for a taxi. Basically, I didn't want to look at him.

"Well I am sure YOU can manage but it would be better if you would accept the ride," he said stressing on the YOU part.

"Okay SIR," I said. I agreed just because I knew I had no other way because It was already late.

I sat inside the car and he started driving away from the office. While he was driving, I was thinking about today's events. How he insulted me without knowing my reason! How he burdened me with loads of work! All these thoughts were running in my mind. While thinking all these things a frown came up on my face

" Are you angry with me ? " he asked in a soft tone, I guess by seeing the frown on my face.

" No sir, I am not angry. Moreover, why will I be angry with you ?" I questioned back in a cold tone.

" I guess regarding the morning incident? " He asked.

" No sir, I am not angry with you. You have all the rights to scold, shout and humiliate someone without knowing someone's situation. But sir I don't have the rights to get angry with you " I replied

He was going to say something when mummy called and asked " where are you beta ? It's already late "

" Mummy aaj auto ki strike thi na isliye late ho gaya " I replied

" Phir kese aa rahi ho abhi ? Papa ko bheju ? She asked in a panicked voice.

" Nahi nahi papa ko mat bhejo !! Sir mujhe drop kar rahe hain ! " I replied and prayed that she should not ask any more questions as I knew he was paying attention to the conversation.

" Hain ? He kaunse sir hai ? She asked again.

" In charge hai mere !! Accha chalo main rakhti hoon signal ka problem aa raha hai " I said and disconnected the call. I was looking outside the window when I heard " I am sorry".

"Sir, did you say something? " I asked with a confused expression.

"Yeah! I said I am sorry " he said in a sorry tone.

" No sir, that's fine! I already told you. You have the rights !! " I replied keeping my tone as calm as possible.

" I know I should have asked you the reason first " He stated and sighed.

" But sir that's the point you SHOULD have " I replied in an angry tone.

" I know that's why I am saying sorry right " he answered in an irritated voice.

" Oh, sir! Thank you for this amazing favour !! I didn't know what to do if you haven't apologised to me " I replied in a sarcastic tone.

He was going to say something but could not because we reached my Building.

" Thank you so much, sir, for this favour and the remaining two too, " I said with a fake sweet voice and left. When I was on the verge of entering I turned around to see he was still there looking at me. As he saw me looking at him, he smiled and before I could smile back I ran inside my building.
