" Where were you ?" my mom asked, as soon as I entered my home.

" Actually mom, I didn't realize how the time passed. That's why " I said and she smiled.

" Oh, It's okay! I understand, Next time inform me " Mom said and caressed my hair. She asked me to freshen up till the time she sets the dining table.

I freshened up and sat at the dining table. Moments later, my parents and brother also sat. We started having our dinner while discussing some general things. I was thinking about him though I was physically present with my family. I was thinking, about how we just did ordinary things still our day turned out to be extraordinary without any effort.

After having my dinner, I wished my parents " Good night " and went inside my room. I laid on my bed and was trying to sleep when my phone buzzed. There was a message from an unknown number.

Did you had dinner?

Seeing the message a small smile graced my face and I replied immediately.

Yes, I had! what about you?

Ps - How did you get my number?

I got the reply within a few seconds as if he was waiting for me.

Yes, I had!

And the answer to your second question would be, I always had your number.

Then why you didn't message me before?

How about I tell you that tomorrow?

Because I don't want you to sleep late as you have to come office early.

Seeing his reply, I went to sleep with a smile on my face after saving his number.

Next day

I woke up with my alarm beeping like a fire siren. Usually, every morning I crave for extra few minutes of sleep but today I didn't have the urge to sleep back for some minutes because my reality was finally better than my dreams. It was as if I was just waiting for my alarm to ring so that I could get ready and go to the office.

I quickly finish my morning chores and wear a light pink kurta with white leggings. I wear matching earrings with them and go to the dining table to have my breakfast.

" You are going early today ?" My mom asked as she served me some poha.

"Yes! today there is some meeting so that's why it's better if I go early " I replied and she smiled at me.

" Eat slowly " My mom chastised me as I was eating hastily. I smiled sheepishly at her while she just slightly smacks her forehead.

After breakfast, I stepped out of my home and started searching for a rickshaw. After searching for a few minutes, I finally got one and started heading towards the office. As the cars and buildings were passing by, I was thinking about how to face my friends and most importantly him. It would be a herculean's task for me to keep a straight face on seeing him. The thought itself was bringing a shy smile to my face.

I didn't realize it when I reached the office as I was busy with my thoughts. So, I got out of the rickshaw and took out my wallet to pay money. As I paid the money to the driver, someone tapped my shoulder. I turned towards that person only to find that he is Vihaan. I smiled at him as we both went inside the office premises.

" So early ?" I asked as we walked towards the elevator.

"Yeah! Some pending work !. What about you ?" He asked.

" Actually don't answer that because I know the reason " He added before I could say anything. He winked at me after saying this while I just turned to press the button for the elevator.

"Nothing like that," I said and avoided looking at him. As the elevator arrived, we both went inside and before the elevator doors could close, a muscular hand stopped it from closing.

The doors opened to reveal none other than him. As his eyes met mine, his lips curved into a small smile making me smile back. He entered the elevator and stood opposite to me.

" Good morning sir " both Vihaan and I wished in unison. He smiled and nodded at us.

" How is your health, sir ?" Vihaan asked and I looked at him in shock.

I mentally smacked my head for telling Vihaan about him.

" I am much better now," he said to Vihaan and briefly looked at me before smiling back at him.

" Oh, Ananya! Do you need any help in that work of yours because of which you are early ?" Vihaan asked with the most innocent expression and my cheeks turned red. I looked at Aryan to find a small smirk coming on his face.

" Uhh... I...I don't want any help " I said and glared at Vihaan for creating such an awkward situation for me. He was watching me and Vihaan with a smirk as I looked at him from the corner of my eyes.

I so want to kill you Vihaan !!!

"Why? I am really serious " He stated and slowly a smirk formed on his face.

" Vihaan end this act before I bang your head against this wall, " I said in a serious tone making both Vihaan and Aryan chuckle. As they continued chuckling, I hid my face in my palms.

This is a complete embarrassment !!!

As the elevator pinged, I immediately rushed outside the elevator. I went and sat on my chair. 2 Minutes later, Vihaan and Aryan came. Vihaan stood in front of my desk while Aryan went inside his cabin.

" I was genuinely asking," He said with a fake sad expression.

" Oh really? The-" words died in my mouth as my eyes met his. I shook my head and said, " then why you had to open your mouth in front of him ?"

" Like that only," He said and headed towards his cabin but not before winking at me.

As he went, I immediately looked in his direction to find him still looking at me. He gestured me to come to his cabin and I complied. I got up from my chair and went inside his cabin. I stood quietly and stared back at him. A smirk started making its way on his face and I looked away blushing.

" Won't you wish me a good morning ?" He asked me and I looked at him confusedly.

" I wished you! " I justified and his smirk widened. He stood up from his chair and started walking. As he was walking towards me, I started stepping back as the door of his cabin is completely made of glass so anybody can see us. As my back hit the wall, he placed both his hands beside my head; caging me.

" We are in office " I stated and He kissed my forehead making me smile.

" So that doesn't stop you from wishing me good morning," He said huskily making me shiver. As I looked into his eyes, an idea struck me and I decided to put it into action.

"Oh! So you want me to wish you good morning " I said and smirked at him. I turned us around in a position such that his back was now touching the wall. He was looking at me amusingly when I started leaning towards his face making him close his eyes. As his lips touched mine, I immediately backed away and he looked at me as if he couldn't comprehend the situation.

" That's all you are going get for laughing at me in the elevator," I said and smirked at him.

This will be a good lesson for him !!

Thinking this, I immediately turned to leave when he suddenly yanked me back into his arms.

Oh boy !! I guess I was wrong .....
