We both were desperately gasping for breath as I pulled away from him with my eyes wide. I had forgotten to switch off the gas because of which the whole thing got burnt. I quickly switched off the gas and started throwing the burnt food in the dust bin.

Oh my goodness!!! What have I done?

"Umm ... I will be outside " I heard him say in a low tone while I switched on the exhaust fan so that the smell can go away.

After cleaning the mess we both had created, I went out to find him doing something on his phone. I cleared my throat and he stiffened. He quickly slid his phone back into his pocket and looked up. I could see his cheeks turning slightly pink as we both recalled the kitchen incident. I went and sat next to him in complete silence. So to lighten the atmosphere, I thought to tease him a little.

"Because of you, the whole food got burnt " I complained and glared at him.

" Are but- " He started saying but stopped seeing my glare.

"Don't you dare blame me?" I said and looked away because I knew I would blush if continued looking at him. When I didn't get the response, I looked at him to find him covering his mouth with his hand, It was as if he was trying to control his smile. Seeing him like that, I couldn't control myself and I burst out laughing recalling the kitchen scene. He too joined me a few seconds later as we laughed our hearts out.

" So you were teasing me ?" He asked me as our laughter died down.

" No! I was just stating the fact " I replied and smirked at him.

" But to answer your question madam, You didn't let me break the kiss when I sensed some burning smell," He said and smirked at me. Hearing this, my cheeks turned red as I realized he was indeed right. I looked away from him while he chuckled before pulling me to himself. He pulled me in such a way that we were practically hugging.

" You must be hungry right ?" I asked very softly and he separated our frames.

"Yes, I am, " He said and I looked at him where the desire was clearly visible in his eyes.

" Okay, then what do you want ?" I asked him in a gentle voice to which he smirked and pulled me to him in such a way that I was sitting in his lap now.

" How about I take it by myself," He said and started inching closer to my lips. I sensed his intention and when his lips were going to touch mine, I pushed him and ran away from him with a smile.

" YOU COME HERE " He shouted and started running after me. We were running around the whole house laughing and playing. I chucked a pillow at him when he was going to catch me and ran into the nearby room but before I could close the door, He entered.

As he started taking steps towards me I started stepping backwards. Seeing him like that made my heart race like anything and there came a point when my back touched the wall which made him smirk.

" In the process of stepping away from me, you didn't realize that you were just caging yourself more, " He said in a husky tone making me shiver but I didn't like it. He stood so close to me that I could feel his breath on my face. To be specific, the distance between us would be hardly 10 inches.

" I was not stepping away from you! I was just playing " I said but I don't why my voice came out a whisper. He was looking at me intently while I was just looking at his shirt.

" look at me !" He said softly but when I didn't listen to his request he made me look at him by cupping my face.

" I know you will not step away from me," He said and I smiled looking at him. Seeing me smile, he inched closer and placed his lips on mine. He was kissing me with passion making me smile in-between the kiss. His hands moved to my waist from my cheeks while I was playing with his hair. After a few minutes, we broke the kiss when we both were extremely breathless. He touched his forehead with mine and smiled warmly. I smiled widely and he took it as a chance to kiss me again making me smile.

There are times when we don't want to end a moment and we wish to live this moment life long but these moments come into our lives so that they can end. Similarly, It's time for me to go home and there is this sulking kid who is not letting me go. He is lying down with his head on my lap and convincing me to stay one more hour.

" Please stay for one more hour ?" He said looking the exact definition of cute.

" You have already stopped me 2 times by saying this line " I replied as I pressed my lips to stop myself from laughing.

"Okay! I get it, You don't stay only " He huffed and said.

" Do you really think so? " I asked him with a stern face pretending to be serious.

" Umm N-No .... but you are not staying also na " He whined making me smile.

" we will meet tomorrow! I will come early okay? " I asked and cupped his cheek. He closed his eyes and sighed.

" Okay, but I will drop you," He said more like stated. I chirped " okay " and we both started walking towards the elevator after locking the door.

" So Tomorrow you are coming early ?" He asked as we waited for the elevator to come.

" Yes but I am still confused about my seat! Where do I have to sit ?" I asked him confusedly making him smirk.

" You just reach the office tomorrow! All the other things will be handled by this head of the department " He said and winked making me laugh. The elevator pinged and we entered the elevator. As we stood in silence, he held my hand and slowly entwined our fingers. I looked at him to find him checking something on his mobile. But suddenly a wide smile appeared on his face making me look away. I looked away because something about his smile made me shy.

The elevator pinged and we both walked out with his hand still holding mine. I loved the protective feeling it gave me as we walked towards his car in the parking lot. He unlocked the car and we both sat in the car after which he started driving. Thinking about today's events and their aftereffects, I looked out from the window.

" What are you thinking ?" he asked me and I came out of my thoughts.

"Actually, I was thinking about how will we manage this thing in the office. I don't want people to gossip about us " I said and sighed.

" Hmm ... You are right! So I guess we should just be normal around each other, Like how we were. That's all " He said and I looked at him.

" And you think it's that simple ?" I asked and glared at him.

"Yes, why not ?" He said and looked at me with a confused expression.

" Oh really? We shall see then " I said and narrowed my eyes at him making him laugh.

" And one more thing, If my friends tease you then please don't mind them " I requested him and he looked at me with a stern expression.

" Do you really think that I am so arrogant and cold? " He asked and I closed my eyes, thinking about how he misinterpreted my words.

" No! I didn't mean it like that but I was just telling you," I said in a low tone and looked into his eyes. His expression seemed to soften slightly and he wrapped his left hand around my shoulder.

" Don't worry! They are just like my friends now and I will not treat them badly. I promise " He said and I kissed his cheek. He smiled at my action and continued driving.

After 10 mins, He parked the car near my society and turned to look at me.

"So, I will see you tomorrow," I said and smiled at him.

"Okay! Do come early " He said and smiled back.

" Good night " Saying this I stepped out of the car and started walking towards my building. Before entering the building, I glanced at him to find him waving at me. I waved him back and went inside.
