Medics P.O.V.

No, no! None of this is right! It's all a mistake.

For the past week or so I have done nothing but sit here and stare at this diagram of my Medi' gun. It looked fine at first glance, but the more I look at it, the more things seem off and incorrect.

I reached out and grasped at the small parts of my now taken apart Medical device and stared at it. The cold surface of the metal seeped into the finger tips of my skin as I held it between my thumb and index finger. My eye's squinted a bit as I slowly turned it back and forth, examining every inch of it.

I glanced down at the blueprint below me for a moment before I look back up to the shimmering metal. A sudden thought sparking across my mind.

"Mein gott! Maybe if I.."

Excitement ran through my body as I stood up slightly from the chair, causing it to scoot back a bit, while I reached out and grabbed another part of the Gun. I don't think my smile couldn't have gotten any bigger as I looked at both pieces and thought of how they would fit together. "zis just might vork..."

I felt my stomach turn in anticipation, a small part of me kept thinking this wasn't going to work, but the rest was confident.

I sat myself back down and scooted the chair back up to the table, this time closer than before as I set my elbows up on the wooden surface to steady my hands. If this works, I'll have a new way to Ubercharge faster and longer, then I'll become even more invincible! Maybe even make the Blu's Medic a bit jealous.

I laughed a little at my childish thoughts before I re-focused myself back to the mission at hand. "Alvright...Now I just need to.." My words slowly become silent as I started to bring the two piece's together.

A small click was heard from the center of the pieces. I sat there, Looking at it, then back to the Blue print underneath my arms. So far, it looked right and nothing seems out of place...yet.

I set down the now conjoined pieces and reached down to grab a screw driver from the tool box Engineer let me borrow. And once again, as carefully as I could, I placed the tip of the driver into one of the screws that was in the metal and started to turn the handle, tightening the bolt.

Now, something seemed off. I kept on turning and turning, but I wasn't feeling any force of the Screw driver, which told me it wasn't tightening one bit.

But I didn't want to believe that this wasn't right, So I kept at it thinking that It was just a long nail and needed to be screwed in..a Lot.

The longer I went, the more frustrated I started to get. My wrist was burning on the inside from the repetive  motion and my stomach tensed up with irritation. I'm not giving up, I need this to work! But My fingers slipped and I ended up dropping the tool to the ground. A loud reverberating sound echoed as it settled itself to the cold concrete flooring.

I stared down at it for a bit before I looked up to the device, Carefully again I took apart the two conjoined piece's and looked at the inside of the both of them.

The one where the screw wasn't going in only had a hole, which meant that it was for a tube and not the bolt I was trying to put.

I knew it...But I still can't believe it. They fit together so perfectly! How are they not supposed to go together! This was just too much  for me as I threw down the Piece's, causing them to hit other parts of the gun and making them fall to the floor with loud clanging noises as they hit each other on their journey down to the ground.

I didn't make a sound as the noises around me settled down to silence. My breathing stopped for a moment before I took in a deep breath and gently slid my arms out of the lab coat and putting it over my head.

I leaned forward and set my forehead on the wood surface gently before letting out the loudest disgruntled moan of failure.

Readers P.O.V

I sat in my room, Not knowing what to do with myself. The match for the day was short as we destroyed the other team and beat them in under ten minutes. A new record. I laughed to myself as I remembered some of the event's that happened during the battle. I even managed to get a domination on Demoman. Sweet, sweet revenge for killing me while I was capturing a control point one time.

I grunted and sat up from my bed and looked around my small living space. The desk against the wall sat bare empty except for a couple notebooks, pens and a few books I was allowed to have during my time here a the fort. I've read them about five times each and am completely bored with them. Seriously, whats wrong with letting me go into town and getting some new books? The administrator was a tough lady to talk to..

I rubbed the back of my head as I thought about my last interaction with her. Wasn't a fun one.

I was about to walk over to my desk before I heard muffled clanging noises emitting through the walls. It sounded like Engineers tools, but His workshop is the other way from where the sounds came from.

I hopped off my bed and headed out of my room into the hallways. I looked down both ends of the brightly lit halls. The walls where cream colored with a red stripe running on both sides all the way down both ways.

I stepped out and closed my door behind me before making my way towards where the noises came from.

Slowly I made my way down the corridor, My footfalls the only noise.

I looked at each door I passed before I came upon medics lab door, which was slightly ajar. Normally it's close so out of curiosity, I poked my head in.

And what I saw made me gasp just a bit. For infront of me was medic, with his lab coat over his head.

He looked adorable in a weird since, but it still made a small blush form across my face as I walked into his room.

Archimedes chirped underneath the table and hopped out to greet meet with a small head tilt to the side. I looked down to him and a small smile over took my face as I walked up next to the sleeping figure, my voice quiet as I spoke.

"Medic?"
