John POV

I got up to answer the door. As soon as I opened the door I was pushed back by a very angry looking Peggy.
"You don't even spend time with me anymore! All you want to do is hide behind that dumb immigrant you call a boyfriend!" She screamed. That was it, ruining my shirt with paint was one thing, teasing me and Alex was another thing but mentioning Alex's rough past and calling him an immigrant was a whole other story. This time I shoved her back and slammed the door. I started crying and Alex came in and hugged me, he was trying to hide it so he could comfort me but I could tell he was crying too.

After watching Heathers and cuddling some more we decided to go to my new tree house, my uncle helped build a new one. I went up first and Alex followed me as usual. It was getting late and we really only came up here to stargaze. I know, I'm a huge nerd.

I looked out the window and stargazed and Alex leaned his head on my shoulder. A few minutes later I felt like I was about to fall asleep. I looked up at Alex and he looked back at me. For a moment we were both silent, then he kissed me. FLIPPIN KISSED ME! My eyes widened and I started blushing, like a lot. He pulled away a moment later.

"Sorry I- uh" Alex stuttered. I giggled a bit and he just blushed, it was adorable.    I leaned my head on his shoulder and fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning on Alex's lap asleep, in my tree house. This wasn't the first time me and Alex had fallen asleep in my tree house. Alex was on his phone, I started blushing a bit when I realized what happened. Alex had kissed me.
Alex looked down at me and smiled.

"Finally your awake" he jokes. I chuckled a bit and sat up.
"Sorry" I mumbled. I thought he might be annoyed I was asleep on top of him but he didn't seem to mind.
"It's fine" he laughed and put and arm around me. I blushed more and he just laughed.
I showed Alex a picture of a turtle I really liked. Alex seemed interested but I knew he didn't really care for turtles.

I wanted to go inside but Alex didn't so I stayed in the tree house with him for another hour. After a long time I just went inside anyway.

After 2 hours I started to worry about Alex, I shrugged it off though. I was getting a bit tired of him just sitting in the tree house all day so I went up there, but I didn't see Alex. I looked around but Alex definitely wasn't up here. I go inside, I looked in his room and in my room and in the kitchen and everywhere. Maybe he left? No, he didn't leave, he would've told me. Would he? I went in my room and sat on my bed, I continued working on a sketch of a the turtle I wanted.

Another hour passed and no sign of Alex. I decided to text him.

John: ?

I was confused and a bit hurt. What the heck did he mean. Somewhere? What kind of answer is that.

Lafayette called me. That was probably the weirdest thing that's happened so far today. When I met Alex's friends we exchanged numbers but that was so many months ago I wouldn't be surprised if they just never called me.

"Hello?" I said confused. I could tell by the way Lafayette spoke that he was trying to be quiet.
"Hey John, can you meet me outside the cafe?" Lafayette asked.
"Sure" I mumbled. Then he hung up. What the heck? What could Lafayette possibly want? He's never talked to me besides the teasing, but that's mainly to Alex.

I grabbed my coat and made my way to the cafe. I saw Lafayette at a table outside the cafe so I went over and sat next to him.

"Lafayette?" I said almost as a question, "you needed to see me?". I could tell he was surprised by how outspoken I was being, even I was a bit surprised.
"Yeah um, look through there" Lafayette said pointing at a window. I looked through the window and in the cafe I saw Alex sitting with a girl I recognized from school named, Eliza. It hurt. I didn't know for sure if he was cheating on me but, he left without saying a word to me and avoided the question when I asked him where he was.

I started tearing up without knowing it and Lafayette noticed.
"You ok?" He asked me. I nodded and wiped away tears. I stood up and walked back to my house.

When I got to my room I started crying. My phone lit up as Lafayette texted me.

I smiled a bit when I heard a knock on the door, I went downstairs expecting Lafayette but when I opened the door I saw Alex.

"Hey John," he said smiling. My smile faded as I saw him standing there.
"Hey" I mumbled. Lafayette showed up a few minutes later.
"I invited Lafayette over" I lied so he would leave. Alex nodded and turned around to go.

Lafayette brought ice cream and my favorite movie, the little mermaid. We ate ice cream and watched the movie, it was really fun. Lafayette was actually really really nice, even though he could piss me off.

The movie ended and I started lookin at pictures of turtles, Lafayette looked at pictures of bread, mainly baguettes. Um.....I guess we all have our obsessions.
