Alex POV

It had been 3 years now and me and John were in our last year of collage. Throughout collage we didn't break up, we stayed together the whole time- except last year for like 2 months.

My ex girlfriend, Eliza, kissed me and John didn't appreciate it at all. We argued a lot for like a month and the next month John broke up with me. I was pretty devastated.

We got back together though, thanks to Lafayette. Lafayette had been really close friends with John since high school so he got us back together by tricking us into seeing each other by inviting both of us to the park and bailing at the last minute. When I saw John at the park I apologized so many times I think he just got back together with me to make me shut up. The whole time I was like 'I'm so sorry. I should've done something when Eliza did that. I shouldn't of hid it from you' and he just went with it and said 'it's ok. I've missed you' Then we hugged and got back together

"Baby~" I said hugging him.
"Alexander Hamilton taking a break from writing essays, what a surprise" John teased, hugging me back.
"Get something nice on, I wanna go out" I said.
"Ok" he replied, kissing me softly.

I already had a fancy suit jacket thing on and black pants with a white button up shirt on under the jacket.

John came back with a vest on and a white shirt and grey pants.

"Let's go" I said holding his hand. He chuckled and followed me.

I drove us to his house.

"Alex, what're we doing here?" He asked. I avoided the question and went around the car and opened his door for him. He stepped out of the car.
"You know collage isn't over, don't you?" John laughed.

I lead him around the backyard. I went up into his old tree house and he followed me.

We sat on an old beanbag chair as the sun started to go down, it was beautiful. (Anyone get the Heathers reference? Hehe)

"Let's go" I said
"That was it?" He asked "we just sat here" We both laughed a bit. He stood up and turned towards the door thingy on the treehouse. Once he wasn't facing me anymore I got on one knee and took out a small velvet box.

"Are you com-" he cut off as he turned around and saw me.

"Will you marry me?" I asked smiling. Tears started to stream down his face.
"Yes!" He said hugging me. I slid the ring on his finger and hugged him back.
"I love you" I said
"I love you more!" He argued kissing me.

I pulled away and smiled. And to think- about 5 years ago he wouldn't even talk.

I knocked on the door as I held John's hand.

"John! Alex! What a surprise!" John's mom said.
"Sorry if I didn't answer right away, some teenagers were in your treehouse" his mom laughed
"Actually- that was us" I said
"What were you guys doin up there?" She asked
"He proposed!!" John said happily as he showed her the ring. I smiled and kissed John's cheek.

Lafayette burst through our door when John and I were trying to watch tv and have a good time.

"Lafayette! The fuck dude!" I laughed
"I HEARD YOU PROPOSED" he panted. John held up his hand and showed him the ring.
"That I did" I said proudly. Lafayette grabbed my shirt.

"I swear to god if you ever hurt John I will brake your face" he said threateningly
"Laf! Leave my fiancé alone!" John said pushing him off of me. I smiled at John.

"IM THE BEST MAN, RIGHT?!" Lafayette asked John.
"Give me time to plan my wedding" John laughed. I hugged John from behind.

"I swear you guys are my OTP" Lafayette said in a serious tone. John and I laughed.
"I'm the best man, right?" Lafayette asked again. We just laughed.

"Fine then. Welp imma go! Bye!! And remember, I'm the best man!" He said before leaving. Me and John laughed again.

"Who's your best man?" John asked. We had recently decided to start planning our wedding.
"I don't know" I shrugged "maybe Herc"
"We haven't talked to Herc in a year" John reminded me.
"Lafayette is like the only guy I know that I haven't punched in the face or tried to fight"
"You've never hurt or wanted to hurt me" he pointed out
"You can't be my best man, I'm marrying you" I said as we both laughed.

"Aaron Burr will be my best man" I shrugged. John looked at me as if I was born yesterday.
"I know how he treated you but he's changed in the past 4 years" I said truthfully. Ever since collage started he's been really nice and he keeps apologizing for what he did.

"Alright" John said "Lafayette is my best man, obviously"
"What colors should we use?" I asked
"Purple." He said
"Colors not just one color" I chuckled
"Purple silver and black" he said. I nodded and scribbled it down in a notebook I had been using to plan everything. He kissed me.
"I love you" He said
"I love you too" I said

Thomas Jefferson knocked on the door. John answered it.

"Hey Thomas" John said confused. Me and Thomas hate each other so the fact that he came over is a little odd.
"Rumor has it you two are engaged," Thomas said in a mater of fact tone.
"It's not a rumor, it's the truth" John scoffed. Thomas rolled his eyes.

"I'll ruin this wedding if it's the last thing I do" he threatened
"Then we just won't invite you" John said "bye!" He added as he slammed the door. I laughed as we heard him stomping down the hallway.

"What's his deal anyway?" John asked.
"I don't know" I shrugged and hugged him.

"Who cares anyway, we don't have to invite him to our wedding" I said in a comforting tone.
"Yeah" he chuckled. I picked him up, he yelped in surprise.

"Alex!" He laughed
"Yes~?"
"You don't need to carry me, I can walk" he said
"This is way more fun though" I argued. He laughed and kissed my cheek.
(Some of you will get the reference. I'm talking about you Carson, Atreyu, and Dawn. *cough cough* Dawn *cough cough* yeah I just copied the rp)

I put him on the couch and went to change into something to sleep in. I put on a hoodie and shorts. (*cough cough* take notes Dawn *cough cough* XD)

"Good night" I said kissing his forehead
"Good night. I'll be in later" he said.

I went to sleep. Today was the best day of my entire life.
