"Honey, we're home!!!"
Mike shouted

"Mike we need to talk."
Renée replied sternly

"Yes, we do; so you know Jake, Thomas kid, hes celebrating his birthday party today, so I was thinking that since hes in the same class as Joey, we could go and let the kids have a fun afternoon and you know, we just chill like old times." Mike responded "Plus, there will be an after party so, while the kids are asleep, its just me and you"
Mike added

"Mike-"
Renée replied
as she was intercepted

"Come on baby, it will be fun, besides the kids are hyped about it, why do you think they were so happy to take a shower? Please, for the kids"
Mike begged

"Okay, fine,
but I'm not coming, gotta rest"
Renée replied

"Yesssss, I promise you beb, they won't regret it, wished if you came along though; what did you wanna say to me?"
Mike asked

"Ummm, its probably nothing,
bring me back a cupcake?"
Renée replied

"Babe, trust me, when I'm back,
you'll have all the cupcake you need!!"
Mike responded

"Okay kids, let's go; all set?"
Mike asked

"Yes daddy, Bye Mom!!!"
Joey and Joel replied

"Bye honey!!!"
Renée responded

Mike arrives and allows the kids to play,
Charlotte asked for Renée, but at home she wanted to stay.

Chilling with the gang, a vibe was molded like clay,
Like Pirates of the Caribbean, alcohol they began to slay.

"Oh no, the kids left their Jackets, Amma just drop them off "
Renée thought to herself

"Forty-eight, forty-nine, come on 1 more." Mike shouted

"Fifty, there, thats the last time I'm making a bet with you"
Henry replied

"Bro, the moment I saw that Romiero got benched and then 2 goals before half-time; I knew I had this one in the bag!!!"
Mike replied

"Prayer meeting begins in 30 mins so I'll be gone soon, by the way, wheres Renée?" Thomas asked

"She's at home taking a nap, been busy with all the work at that editing company, you know"
Mike replied

"Oh, yeah, Charlotte was telling me about that promotion she got, must be doubling her workload, at least she got you to support her right"
Thomas added

"Promotion? What promotion?"
Mike surprisingly asked

"You didn't know she got a promotion? Shes now Editor-in-chief, I thought you knew, my wife was telling me about it."
Thomas replied

"I didn't know, I guess I didn't find the time to ask how she was doing at work or even overall"
Mike replied

"Did we come to talk about promotions or did we come to have a great time? I mean let's leave work at work and have some fun, come on, the kids seem to be enjoying themselves why can't we?"
Henry interjected

"Yeah, you're right, toast to a night to remember"
Mike shouted

"Well, okay if that's what it is, sure"
Thomas added

"Okay, I think thats enough for one night, even for me, you got any water?"
Mike asked

"Oh sure, but there all cased up in the storage room upstairs, I can go and grab you a case."
Thomas replied

"That's okay Tom, I'll get it besides, I need to walk off this booze. I'll be right back, keep an eye on the kids for me"
Mike responded

"Will do."
replied Tom

"Charlotte!!!"
Renée shouted

"Renée? I thought you werent gonna make it."
Charlotte asked

"Oh no, Im not here for the party; I just came to drop of these jackets, the kids left without them."
Renée replied

"Ohhhh, you know I would have given them a jacket in case, you didn't have to; I'll ensure they get them"
Charlotte replied

"I know, I know"
Renée smiled

"You sure you dont wanna stay? I mean, you're already here."
Charlotte asked

"You have always had such an influence, I mean I could but naaaa"
Renée responded

"Girl, come on, if you stay, I will never ask you about that Dr. Chocolate again." Charlotte added

"Okay fine, If you put it like that"
Renée laughed

"That's my girl, you know am gonna ask you about Dr. Chocolate right?"
Charlotte added

"Girl bye"
Renée Laughed

Charlotte chuckled

"Could I use the girls room real quick?" Renée asked

"Upstairs, down the hall to the left." Charlotte replied

~A little longer than 10 mins~

Mike comes out of the storage room and bumps into Catherine-

"Seeing you twice in one day,
that's a bonus"
Catherine stated

"Well, well, well,
look what the cat dragged in."
Mike added

Overhearing the convo, Renée slowly peeks through the bathroom door-

"What are you doing here?"
Mike asked

"Is it a crime?"
Catherine replied

"Maybe"
Mike responded

"What are you gonna do about it,
arrest me?"
Catherine asked

"Just like I did on my bed this afternoon, sure why not."
Mike replied

Catherine moans and bites her lips Mike drops the case of water, lifts her up and takes her down to the storage room

Renée drops through the door heartbroken, but not disappointed as she assumed this might be happening, she walks towards the door and watches them, as her disappointment slowly turns into resentment, her resentment into hate and her hate into acceptance as she bolts the door with them inside and storms off.

An hour had passed, as Thomas heard a pounding upstairs and opens the door-

"Thank goodness you're here, I've been banging on this door for hours"
Mike stated

"How did you get locked in
and who's this?"
Thomas asked

"Ohh yeah, uummm. You see. I went for another case of water and I needed some assistance so she was passing by and tried to assist, but the door closed behind us and we got locked in."
Mike replied

"Right, anyways I was just coming to let you know I'm off to Prayer Meeting so you should probably take the kids home now, its getting pretty late"
Thomas responded as
his doubt intensifies

"Yeah sure, heading out now,
pray for me will ya"
Mike replied

"Trust me, I will"
Thomas responded

Mike eventually reaches home and tucks the kids in bed,
Renée wasnt in her room, so downstairs he heads,
The lights came on; he was shocked out of his mind,
Upon seeing Renée in the kitchen, sipping some wine.

"Oh my god you frightened me, jeez"
Mike exclaimed

"How was it?"
Renée asked

"It was great, the kids had fun, I chilled with the boys, we had a really great time."
Mike replied

"I'm sure you did."
Renée responded

"When did you start to drink wine?"
Mike asked

"Did you arrest anyone today?"
Renée asked

"Beb, today is my day off, you know this" Mike replied

Renée remained silent but her eyes were telling a different story as she stared at Mike while slowly sipping her wine.

"Okay, whats going on, I feel like Im being interrogated."
Mike added

"I found these on our bed today."
Renée replied as she
tosses the handcuffs to Mike

"Ohhh, umm I seemed to have dropped these while getting ready to go to the station"
Mike replied

"I thought today was your day off?"
Renée asked

"Yeah, but you know, I just went to drop off some paperwork"
Mike replied

"The thing is, those weren't dropped, they were strapped to the bed.."
Renée added

"I was testing it's grip, you know these old things are, but I thought I dropped it"
Mike replied

"Like you dropped the case of water?" Renée asked

"What? What are you talking about?"
Mike asked

Renée stares into his eyes, sips her wine, walks out of the kitchen and off to her bed.

"Renée!! Renée!!"
Mike shouted

He began to contemplate on what's actually going on as he puts the pieces together; he began to punch the wall continuously.
He makes his way upstairs but was greeted with a pillow and some covers outside the bedroom door.
He sighed, picks them up and slowly makes his way over towards the couch.
