Chapter 11

I heard Elliott making his way up the stairs and I shook as I realised the reality of what was happening. He was going to enter my room, see Seth fast asleep, safe and sound, on my bed. He was going to freak out and most likely attack him. I'd have to witness that.

"Luna?"

Elliott wasn't in the room. He was waiting for me outside the door.

"Yeah?" I called back softly.

He chuckled from the other side, but it was dark. "Is he in there?"

"Yup. Elliott, don't-"

"I'm not going to. Tell him to leave once you're gone, okay?"

I gulped harshly. Relief flooded my veins like it was in my blood. "Yeah, okay. Thanks."

I walked over to Seth and resisted temptations to slap him to wake him up. Sucking in a deep breath, I jabbed him with my finger instead. I wasn't going to stoop to his level. I wasn't going to let him get the best of me.

"Leave when I'm gone."

He just nodded at me tiredly.

"In fact, while you're at it, wash those bedsheets. I don't want to contract anything," I remarked as I walked towards the door.

"That never stopped you before."

I spun on my heels. "Excuse me?"

"You heard me, slut."

I snapped my head to his direction. For the second time, I had to resist from hitting him and instead stormed towards him.

"You," I spat. I grabbed his collar and pushed him backwards, his head narrowly missing the headboard of my wooden bed frame. "You were the one who forced a kiss on me. So shut your filthy mouth before I get Elliott in here to give you what you should really be getting."

"I hope he hurts you."

"I hope she's already left you," I retorted, referring to Ella. "Even she's too good for you."

I found Elliott waiting outside. His palms were pressed together and his fingertips were brushing against his chin. His eyes were closed tight, probably focusing on keeping out of the situation. Lifting a hand to grab his, I intertwined our fingers before rushing down the stairs with him in tow.

"I've got to get out of here," I breathed heavily as we approached Logan's car. I jumped into the backseat and immediately thanked Elliott's friend. "I'm so grateful for this, Logan. Thanks."

"It's no problem, little lady!" He responded cheerily, pulling out of the drive as quickly as he could. "A friend of Elliott's is a friend of mine, I suppose. Especially since you were pretty much desperate for help, eh?"
