After Shantelle sent Joshua the text, Joe walked into the bedroom. He noticed that Shantelle was in her phone typing and had a big smile on her face.

"Hey. What's got you smiling so big for?" He asked, his eyebrows furrowed.

"Nothing I just read something funny is all." Shantelle said reading Josh's reply....

Josh: what you need baby girl? You gon make big Uce kick my ass 🤣🤣🤣🤣😳

Shantelle: I need you to cover for me. I'm bout to trap that clown 🤣🤣

Josh: So what you need me to do?

Shantelle: If Joe ask why I'm hanging out with you and Kecia so much just make up a lie.

Josh: Aight gotchu

Shantelle: 🙏 let me go...he in here watching me like a hawk 😂

Josh: 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yeet that's big Uce aight. I'll ttyl

After Shantelle put a password on her phone and put it down, she looked up into the suspicious eyes of her spouse....

"What's the matter baby?" Shantelle asked noticing the look on Joe's face.

Joe continued to stare at his wife for a few moments before responding...

"Nothing baby. Just never saw you smile in your phone like that before, that's all. I'm gonna go take a shower." Joe responded as he headed into the bathroom.

"Ok baby." Shantelle said as she turned over and went to sleep.

After Joe went into the bathroom, he stripped off his clothes, turned on the shower and stepped in. As he let the warm water run over his head and massive frame, he began to mentally reflect......

Joe's POV
What's really going on? Shantelle never has been so engrossed in her phone like that. I mean it's like her eyes were lit up and she was grinning from ear to ear. As a matter of fact, I haven't seen her like that since before we got married. What or should I say WHO has her attention like that? Not only that, it seems like she goes out more than she usually does. I know that she loves me, but there's a side of me that thinks that someone is trying to take her away from me. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, after all, she is pregnant and trying to adjust, as am I. But I can't help but wonder if that fake ass Idris Elba is still on her mind and is she still trying to get revenge. I hope not because I specifically told her to stay away from his ass! And now that she's pregnant, I really want her to stay away from him. Because I would really hate to have to kill somebody and end up in prison for murder. I want to watch my son or daughter grow up and be involved in his or her life. So I hope and pray that she will honor her wedding vows and obey me!

As I step out of the shower, I dry myself off, let my damp hair hang loose over my shoulders and put on my basketball shorts and a tank top. When I come back into the bedroom, I noticed Shantelle is fast asleep. I also noticed that her phone is on the nightstand next to her side of the bed. As I come in the room, I walk over to the side of the bed and stare at her phone, and being sneaky, I bump the night stand knocking her phone to the floor. As I go to pick it up, I turn it on and notice that it has a password to access it.

"Damn!" I say to myself.

Yeah I know I was being sneaky. But I'm just curious to know what's going on.

After I get in the bed, I wrapped my arms around my wife and pull her to me, causing her to stir.

"Baby? Are you ok?" She says sleepily, snuggling closer to me.

"Yeah I'm ok baby. I'm so excited that I'm gonna be a father. I love you with all my heart." I say as I rub her stomach.

She then opened her eyes and smiled at me.

"Aww baby, I love you too. I'm glad I'm carrying your baby. I just know you're gonna be the best daddy in the world." She replied, kissing my cheek before going back to sleep.

I smile as a tear runs down my cheek as I close my eyes and go to sleep as well.

The Next Morning......

As Shantelle woke up, she noticed that Joe was still asleep. She looked over at her phone and saw a text message from Darnell...

Instacart: Good morning love. I was wondering if we could meet at Starbucks for coffee? 😊

Shantelle: Sure. What time?

Instacart: I say around noonish.

Shantelle: Which Starbucks?

Instacart: The one on Bayou boulevard sounds great.

Shantelle: ok that's near Cordova Mall. That works.

Instacart: ok I'll see you then 😁

After texting with Darnell, she sent Josh a text.

Shantelle: Hey good morning

Josh: Good morning baby girl.

Shantelle: are you and Kecia busy today?

Josh: Nope what's up?

Shantelle: That 🤡 wants to meet for coffee at the Starbucks near the mall so he doesn't know you two so we could get coffee and you guys hang in the background and also I got some good news to share 😍

Josh: ok cool, so do you want us to pick you up?

Shantelle: please at 11:15

Josh: Aight gotchu

After she ended the text with Josh, she was grinning from ear to ear, and was startled when she looked over at noticed that Joe was sitting up in bed wide awake and staring at her....

"There you go smiling again in your phone. Who were you texting?" He asked.

"Josh. He and Kecia invited me to hang out today, and I think I'm gonna share our good news." Shantelle smiled.

"Oh ok. Let me get up and get the day started." Joe said, as he went into the bathroom.

"Man that was close. I hope I get the info I need because I can't keep this up." She said to herself .
