Luke's POV

"thank you" I say to Emily.

 "for what?" she asks pulling away from the hug. 

"for being nice." She just playfully rolls her eyes giving me a smile.

"AWWW"

 we look over to the group when Alex hits Justin on the back of his head. 

" man, you ruined the moment" he says. I and Emily just roll our eyes.

 "so shall we continue with our movie marathon?" Emily asks and we all join in for the next movie. Which is 'Edge Of Tomorrow', a pretty cool movie in my opinion.

Cole, Alice and Justin take their seats on the mattress laid out on the floor for them. I sit on the couch with Emily beside me and Alex beside her. 

I really screwed up today. Yesterday I yelled at Emily and today I scared her to death. I am such a bad person. The look on her face when she saw my mask was filled with fear. She was terrified. She looked so fragile and vulnerable. If I had known of her phobia then I wouldn't even think about scaring her. It made me so guilty to see her like that. Thankfully Alex was here otherwise none of us could calm her down.

Alex is a psychology major and knew how to handle the situation. When he took Emily in his arms on the floor, hugging her close to him and rocking her back and forth like a baby....it made me feel a teeny tiny pint of jealous. It felt like I should have been the one comforting Ems rather than him. Perhaps it was just my friendship instincts which led me to think so.

But eventually he calmed Ems down. I was really impressed with Alex. He was the most observant in our group and was really quick to figure out what other people might be thinking. He calmed Ems down within 10-15 minutes even though he wasn't a professional psychiatrist which is really impressive. I am sure he would become one successfully.

We all had watched the movie a couple of times but we didn't mind watching it again. When Tom Cruise appeared on the screen Ems and Alice let out a dreamy sigh. " he is so perfect" Alice says. " what?! He is like fifty! How can you like someone that old?" Cole asks, obviously getting jealous.

" does he look like he is fifty? He looks like he is in his thirties." Emily replies to Cole.

" yeah Just look at him. He is so handsome." Alice says and they both sigh dreamily. Again.

I start feeling a little uneasy hearing this. " hey, but I am more handsome. Right?" Cole asks, getting a little frustrated.

" meh, you're okay...." Alice trails off. " we are obviously more good looking than him" I say, now all of us boys are getting anxious.

Emily and Alice just smile and say,

"you are good looking..." Alice starts and all of us boys smirk, but Emily adds on, " but he is obviously better". Alice just nods agreeing with her.

Our smirk falls and we are a little shocked and offended. Then they both start laughing. " oh...my god! You should've seen your faces!....priceless!" they say laughing. We all boys look at each other and then start smirking evilly.

Emily and Alice stop laughing when they see us smirking. They look a little nervous and scared now.

" you're gonna pay" I say looking at Emily.

"uh-umm did I tell you hoe good you look today?" Emily says smiling hesitatingly.

We just stand there smirking mischievously. We only say one word,

"Run".

Both the girls sprint away from us and we launch for them. Cole and Alex go for Alice while I and Justin chase Emily. I finally catch Emily by her waist and lift her up. What the hell!? What is this girl made of? She literally weighs like air! Picking her up in my arms I realize that she is so light. Of course her height is the same as Alice which is 5'5, a normal height. But her structure is really small and feeble. She weighs like a feather.

Shaking away the thoughts, I throw Emily on my bed while Cole does the same to her girlfriend. I immediately start tickling her. Alex and Justin are standing there cheering for us which is totally weird. "aaahhh Luke please...stop...stop Luke...please..." Emily is saying between laughs. " NEVER!" I say, continuing to tickle her. " please Luke......stop...I'll...I'll do anything....please stop....stop..." Emily pleads. " okay then, say that 'Luke is the most handsome, sexy and hot man to walk on the earth'" I demand.

"L-Luke...is...is the m-most...handsome, s-sexy... and hot...man to w-walk...on t-the...e-earth" she says between laughs and finally stop tickling her. " that's more like it" I say, smiling with satisfaction. She glares at me " I hate you" she mumbles " awww don't do that, babe" I say teasingly.

"eww! Don't call me that ever again!" she says.

" aww we both know you like it, pumpkin" I say smirking.

"Whats with all the nicknames?" she asks frowning.

"nothing, sugar" I say, teasing her more.

" stop calling me with nicknames" she says, getting annoyed.

"whatever you say, sweetcheeks" I say winking at her.

She lets out a growl. Yeah, you heard me she actually growls and then turns into a warewolf...

Just kidding. Anyways...

She lets out a frustrated noise and lunges at me but I immediate lift up my hand in surrender. "okay okay! I am sorry Ems" I say. She then relaxes.

" are you two love birds done? Cause I want to watch the movie" Justin says. Emily blushes furiously and looks down to the floor. So cute! Wait.......how am I becoming a girl? Jesus. I called her cute. Not that she isn't cute but that was really girly. I think I might be loosing my penis.

"fuck off man!" I say to them, getting a little annoyed at them for making us uncomfortable.

We then watched the movie. Emily sat with beside me and I placed my arm around her shoulder. She leaned in on my shoulder.

It felt nice being near her. I felt comfortable. It felt natural.

After a while everyone started dozing off. So we called it a night and everyone went back to their dorms. I picked Ems in my arms and laid her on her bed. Then I went to my own bed and laid down thinking for a while.

I had come to know so much about Ems. Its like she keeps surprising me. At first when I listened to her playing the guitar I didn't know she could sing. She never sang in front of me. But I heard her in the shower once and her voice was melodious. Her voice was sweet and fragile. After then I told her that I had listened her singing in the shower and she was embarrassed. She said she didn't like people hearing her sing because she thought her voice was like a dying seal. But man that girl can sing!

Her parents are still a mystery though. She always avoids the topic every time anyone asks her about them.

I glanced over at Ems. She looked so peaceful while sleeping. So beautiful. I watched her as she slept.

Man that sounds stalkerish.

I noticed her body. Her body was thin according to her age. I remembered earlier when I lifted her. She weighs like nothing. Literally. Even a kid could lift her up. Her eating habits are really weird. She doesn't touch anything other than salad. Its pretty obvious that she is conscious of her weight. I mean every girl is a little conscious of her weight even if she loves her body. I know that. I've got an older sister alright. So I know stuff.

Anyway, I've been on dates with girls who order a salad whenever they're at the restaurant. Those girls starve themselves. They don't even show longing for my chicken burger. But Ems is not like that. She looks at the food longingly, but something holds her back. Its like she is resisting the urge to eat.

Thinking about her. I went to sleep.

Emily's POV

Next morning...

I woke up and I saw Louis Tomlinson sleeping in my bed with me.

Just kidding...as if he will ever sleep or even notice that I exist. But that guy is bae. He is my favourite from all the five.

Anyways...

I sat up in my bed and saw Luke was still sleeping. I checked my phone and saw that I had a text from aunt Tessie.

Call me when you see this.

I called her. She picked up after the third ring.

"hello?" she said.

"hi aunt Tessie! I got your message. Whats up?"

"yeah, I wanted to tell you that I am at home today. So, I was thinking that maybe you could come over today to catch up?"

"sure, I'll come today. See ya!"

"okay, sweetie bye!" and she hung up.

I got off my bed and went to the bathroom. After taking a warm shower and dressing up, I came out and saw Luke fiddling with his phone.

"hey, could you give me a lift?" I asked him.

"sure, where are you going by the way?"

" oh I am visiting my aunt." I reply grabbing my bag.

"okay, let me take a quick shower." He says entering the bathroom.

When he came out we went to his car and started our two hour drive. We chatted along the way and listened to the radio. 'perfect' by one direction came on and I immediately started singing along.

" I might never be your knight in shinin armour.." I sang along Louis' voice. I love singing. Though I don't sing very well, but Luke tells me otherwise. He says my voice is sweet and melodious, but I don't agree, obviously. But I carry on singing through the entire song. When the song ends and I stop singing, Luke looks at me with a knowing look.

" perfect as always" he says smiling at me. I look down trying to hide the blush forming while he just chuckles.

We reach after a while and he stops in front of my aunt's house.

"thanks for the ride Luke." I say to him smiling.

"no problem Ems." He says grinning and add, "do you want me to pick you up?"

"no thanks, it's a really long drive, I don't want you to drive back and forth for so long, and it'll probably be late by the time I return" I reply.

" its no problem Ems. Actually my parents live close by in the area so I think I'll pay them a surprise visit and then I can pick you up and we can go back together." He explains.

"oh okay then. I'll text you and you can pick me up." I say giving him another smile.

"okay, Enjoy with your aunt" he says and drives away.

I knock on the door and I am greeted with aunt Tessie. "oh honey, I missed you" she said pulling me into a hug. "I missed you too aunt Tess". We went to the living room and took seats side by side.

Aunt Tess was an air hostess. So she was rarely home. But she took tremendous care of me. She knew everything about my anorexia and she helped me so much. She made sure I ate, even when she was away, she would send someone to check up on me. After loosing my parents, she was my only family left. We had family members, but none of them were very close to our family so aunt Tessie took me. She played the role of my mother and my father. She is so hardworking and so fun to be around. She is not very old. She is just 28. Yup. And single. And an air hostess with a stunning body and a lovely nature. her husband would be very lucky.

We talked for the rest of the time. She told me about this guy who was a pilot and her colleague and had asked her out on a date. The way she talked about him made him look really nice and I was happy for her. I told her about the one and a half month of my college. I told her about the campus and the education system. I also told her about Luke and the rest of my friends. She was shocked at first to hear that I had a boy for a roommate but later she relaxed when I told her that Luke wasn't bad and he was my best friend.

I texted Luke about four hours later. It was already 5 in the evening so I decided that we should be heading home. He replied almost immediately.

Well someone had a lot of catching up to do, eh? I'm coming in 15. See ya Ems.

The message made me smile. Ems. I liked that nickname. I liked when he called me Ems. It made me feel special. But of course in a friendly way.

"you like him." Aunt Tessie says.

"what? What are you taking about?"

" your roommate. You like him don't you? You've been smiling like an idiot at your phone for the past two minutes"

I blush replying, "no. I don't like him. We're just friends. nothing more."

" you like him Emily. You just don't realize it." She says softly.

There is car honk which indicates that Luke is hear.

"okay, I gotta go aunt Tess. I'll visit again sometime." I say. Hugging her.

"yes sweetie. Do visit soon. And I would like to meet Luke sometime too." She says pulling away.

I just nod and leave the house with the tin of cookies she gave me. Aunt Tess made the best chocolate chip cookies in the world. I love them. She knows it. I can literally abandon my boring salad for the cookies. Its also one of her ways to keep me eating, and it works because I am literally addicted to them. I wouldn't mind getting fat if I get to eat them everyday.

" can I drive Luke?" I ask him as I approach.

"why? Its my car. I will drive."

"please Luke."

"no Ems. Its my baby. I cant trust you with this"

okay...that was weird.

"please Luke. I'll be careful I promise."

No Ems. Get in the car."

"please."

"no"

"pretty please?"

"no"

"pretty please with whipped cream on the top?"

"no"

"pretty please with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles on the top?"

"no"

"pretty please with whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles and chocolate syrup on the top?"

"no"

I sighed. "how much sweetness do you want in your 'pretty please' sundae?" I ask him. Man he is so stubborn sometimes.

" I don't know. Maybe more" he replies smirking. Jerk.

Okay now its time to pull on my puppy dog look. No one can resist my puppy dog face. Its too cute. Its my secret weapon. I use it on aunt Tessie for extra cookies all the time.

"okay" I start,

"pretty please with whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, chocolate syrup and a cherry on the top?" I say pulling on my secret weapon. The puppy dog face.

He looks at my face and turns away as if resisting it. Yes! It worked.

MUAHAHAHAHA! 

After there was a silence for two whole minutes, Luke sighed giving up.

"okay, you can drive"

"yaaaay!!!!!" I say doing a little victory dance.

"but you better not do anything to my baby" he says warning me.

"yeah yeah, whatever" I say quickly jumping into the drivers seat and we drive off.

i have a test on 28th of december which is MONDAY. really? who keeps a test right after school opens? i hate it. so i may or may not be able to update. please forgive me.
