☃︎Special Scenario☃︎

Romèo never used to celebrate Christmas, it was just another day of sadness, there was never normally any kind of colour in his life. Christmas was his day off, a day that he laid in bed for the entire day to do nothing. He would always try and sleep, sleep was his safe place...most of the time. The Christmas he remembered was when he was only seven, his father spinning the raven haired male around the room like there was no tomorrow. Having a small but good enough meal. He remembered Ella crying loudly, and a couple of hours later she finally began to crawl, her just under a year old sister was a bit late with crawling...she always used to crawl. He still had the video of her walking, and the pictures of the two smaller children asleep on their father, Romèo's head on his lap as Ella laid across his chest. He had the videos of every single Christmas leading up to the last one. Well the last one in Romèo's eyes. That was the last year he spent with his father.

There was never much going on when it was Christmas, it would just be a day that Romèo shut off on, trying to smile with Ella and dance around. It never worked. Well not until Ella had grown up, every year they would put up the tree, of course they would. But Ella would add to the place, using Romèo's money to get more decorations such as fairy lights. She would bring home more decorations and place them all around the house. Ella would even drag him out of his office and make him help her cook, which he did of course, he didn't want her getting hurt. Ella loved Christmas, she was like a little Angel. Romèo remembered everything about Christmas, everything up until the most recent Christmas. He had spent it alone.

A couple of years ago

Romèo stopped the engine, taking his keys out of the engine. His eyes scanned over the entire house, it had looked like his mother helped Ella hang up the lights then... Romèo sighed as he got out his car, shutting the door behind him and holding a small box of files. Romèo was the only detective that worked over Christmas, after all most of the detectives had a break, they had families, small children who still believed in Santa and his little elves. Romèo was still a rookie detective, most of the older detectives laughed at the male when he asked the boss for more work, patting his back and saying how idiotic he was, how lifeless he was not to celebrate Christmas. These were all the people who worked alongside his father. Romèo stepped into the house, all the lights were on but there wasn't a sound. Not even the tv seemed to be on. Romèo frowned as he looked around Downstairs, he then walked upstairs slowly, hearing a voice come from Ella's room. Romèo tilted his head before placing down the box on the small table beside the door, he then peaked through the small crack in the door. Ella was sitting down on her bed playing with her dolls, angel wings Romèo had made her a couple of years ago they looked massive when she first wore them. They were now on her back, still big on her however the wings were in a perfect condition like he had just made them for her.

Romèo watched his younger sister, leaning against the doorframe with a slight smile. Ella was complete oblivious to Romèo standing there still playing around with her dolls. "And big brother Romèo found his Angel!!" Ella cheered holding another doll up, she then began to clap happily. "Big brother Romèo's heart finally grew once again! And the prince gave the princess a biggggg kiss!! Mwah, mwah!" Ella made the two dolls kiss as she continued to play with the dolls. Romèo smiled softly he then walked into her room, putting his hat over the girls head with a small chuckle. "Big brother is back, oh! Oh no!! The tickle monster is here~!" Romèo began to tickle Ella,  the younger girls squeals and giggles were the only thing that could be heard.

Romèo smiled at the memories, placing down his pen on top of his documents as he stretched his arms above his head. Romèo pushed himself up. It was December the 23rd, other detectives were gone already, well of course they would be. It was nearly half five, most of them left at half four. Romèo sighed as he glanced at the time, he then pulled on his jacket and scarf Noel forced on him when he left, wrapping it around his neck once. Romèo turned off his lights, making sure the alarm to his office was on before leaving and locking the door. No one would enter the office for two days. Romèo walked over to his car, looking down at his phone at a few messages Noel sent him, Romèo smiled to himself, his eyes filled with love.

Romèo stepped into the warm house, a few of the lights were left on as the male smiled softly,  hearing Christmas music float down the stairs. So Ella was either on call with Rose, or listening to music. Romèo hung up his coat he then put Noel's scarf down, taking his shoes off quickly. "Noel?" Romèo called out to the peach haired male, looking around for him. Romèo raised his eyebrow he then stepped outside into the garden, glancing around before going wide eyed. Ella popped up from behind a wall of snow, chucking a snowball directly at Romèo with a happy laugh. "You're back early! That's the first time in years you've left early!" She hummed out happily, her eyes shining as she looked over Romèo's shoulder.Romèo was afraid of being left alone. He was afraid of Christmas. He always was.

However this Christmas with Noel was different. Of course it would be. He found love this year, true love.
