Chapter 15 : "That is true."

Justin's P.O.V
"Dude! Come on, show me the picture," I said, getting a bit frustrated with the fact that Scooter wouldn't let me see a picture with Charlotte in it.

"No, finish recording the song and then I'll consider showing it to you," he said, getting me more annoyed than before. I groaned and headed back to the recording room.

We had just finished editing one of the songs for Journals, which was called: Bad Day.
I was definitely having a bad day, today, and it seriously gave the song some feelings. It was going to be released in about two weeks, on November 4th.

Later on, we adjusted some things for the next song, All Bad, and discussed when we were going to start recording the last four songs.

It had been on the second or third week after the breakup with Charlotte, when I started writing on my journal all this bunch of songs, and about two weeks after that, when I had finished 8 of them and told Scooter about it. He, immediately, sent me to the studio to start discussing, fixing, recording, and editing everything so my first song, Heartbreaker could be released on October 7th.

Everything was happening so fast, and while all this stuff was happening, we were about to finish a secret project we had started last year.

Believe, the movie.

I was tired, to put it in a modest way, but I had to keep going, to make people happy.

"All right Justin, we're done for today, but remember to come tomorrow after the interview," Usher said, he was helping a lot with all this stuff. "Yeah, sure, bye guys," I said, sighing as I opened the door and left.

Suddenly, I felt my phone vibrate, indicating I was receiving a call. I was surprised when I saw Charlotte's name flash across my phone's screen, but shocked and all I didn't doubt answering the call immediately.

Charlotte's P.O.V

"Hey, Charlotte!" one of my classmates, Olivia, called out as I was walking towards the library. I turned around, slightly smiling at my approaching acquaintance. "Hi," I started, a bit confused as to why she was following me, "How are you?"

"Oh, I'm fine, but how are you?" she asked, apparently concerned in how I was. My eyebrows came together forming a small frown, "I'm good."

"Sorry, you're probably confused as to why I'm here, since we don't usually talk that much," she said, finally realizing the situation, "I heard that you were a little more than friends with Justin Bieber and now you guys don't talk anymore, but I found it really cool that you were going out with the super hot and talented pop-star." All this was still confusing for me, we broke up more than a month ago, and she knew until now? Well, probably she just noticed that I, Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend, was studying at the same place where she was studying.

"Anyway, have you heard any news about his new album?" she asked, and as I shook my head, I said, "No, no news at all." "His new album is called Journals or something like that, and supposedly the songs are dedicated to you!" she said, a little too excited about the situation, while I stood there like an idiot.

"Wow, uhm, where did you-where did you get all this i-information from?" I said, with no intention of stuttering, but I couldn't help it. "It's everywhere, duh, do you live in a cave or something?" she said, and by the time she had finished her question, I was really frustrated with the way she was talking. Who does she think she is? Either way, I just pursed my lips and nodded. I started walking past her and towards a tree where nobody ever sat by, but where I always sat so I could read a book or think.

This time, I sat there to think of what was happening because it was really confusing. I decided to call the first person that came to my mind in order to clear things up. I grabbed my phone, unlocked it and pressed on the contact.

"Hello?" Elizabeth said as she answered my call. "Hey," I responded, "Did you know about Justin's new album, and about the rumors saying it's dedicated to me?" I went straightforward to the point.

I heard her sigh, "Yes, I knew about it, but I don't really know if the rumors are true."

This time, I sighed, "Should I..." "I think you should, that would help with clearing your doubts," she said, already knowing what I was going to say without me actually saying it.

I sighed again, sighing became a habit that day. "All right, thanks Eli," I said. I could already feel she was smiling while she said, "No problem, now go get him tiger." I rolled my eyes at her comment, "Bye," I said before hanging up.

Once I hung up, I noticed on my contacts' list, as I was scrolling down, that that person's name was just how I had left it since the day I typed it in. I clicked on the name and pressed the phone against my right ear. After a couple of rings, he picked up.

"Charlotte?" Justin said, confused of course. "Hey," I whispered, as if I was scared if him or something, so I cleared my throat and tried again, "Hey."

I heard a nervous chuckle at the at the other side, "Uhm, h-how are you?" I smiled slightly, "Confused, that's why I'm calling you," I said. "Oh," he said, and I noticed what I said sounded wrong. "No, no, sorry, that's not the way, I... Ugh, I heard some things about your album and I was confused about it so I decided to call Elizabeth and then I called you and what I just said..." I blabbed out, stopping because I knew I was talking too much, and because I heard him say my name a couple times.

"Hey, don't worry, I get it," he said, understanding all my useless explanations, "What are your doubts?"

"Well, somebody told me that one of your songs from the album is dedicated to me," I said and sighed in relief when he said, "Well, they're wrong."

I wasn't mad, but it wasn't like I was happy either. I guess I just felt stupid for having my hopes up, "All of them are dedicated to you, not just one," until he said that. By then, I felt stupid because I surely looked an idiot standing by a tree with my face flushed and my mouth hanging open.

When I managed to go back to normal, I decided that talking was the best option, "What?!" was the first word. "It feels cheesy in a way, though, but anything for you," Justin said, making me blush but later on making me mad for an odd reason. "I hate you," I said, in the most serious way possible.

"Girls only say 'I hate you', to guys they love," he said, and chuckled before hanging up and leaving me blushing.

Good thing he hung up, because I would've answered back with three simple words, "That is true."
