He misses her too

It's been a hour since Niall went home.
My dad and I had finished eating his wonderful dinner when my mum came home, this was a fairly early time for her. She normally comes in a lot later (around 10-11 at night). It was coming up to 6 o'clock, she walked in to the kitchen in her normal work suit, which was a grey blazer, grey trousers and a black top under neath. My mum has dull/lifeless brow hair, just down to her shoulders: before the stressful job and her unknown hatred towards me, she used to have lovely shiny hair. The bags under her eyes weren't there, the wrinkles in her face weren't visible because of her normal smile.
She chucked her briefcase on to the kitchen island and walked upstairs in a zombi like manner, not even looking at me and my dad. Damn I miss her loads.
I looked over at dad, his usual shinning eyes weren't shinning. It looked like a piece of his puzzle was missing. My mum. He was watching my mothers actions as she walked up the stairs, he glanced at me and noticed I was looking at him. He moved his eye to mine and gave me a small but meaningful smile. He missed her too. That smile he gave me sent thousands words, but the words he tells me when times get hard mean the most to me "no matter what, you'll be okay"
