Neil laughed out loud, making everyone turn to him as if he earned a new set of horns. But earning a glare from me, everyone left the place hurriedly not intending to get on Neil's bad side.

Just the moment, Ali and DD came and were perplexed to see their chuddy-buddy laughing out loud like a maniac. They were happy for him. At least someone is trying to make him laugh, they thought.

But friends are supposed to be evil, right?

" Kya Baath hain bhai, ye seem happy? " teased Ali earning a glare from neil.

" Tujhe na bhagwan by mistake, human bana dia. Kuch bhi bolu toh ye apna famour glare dikhatha hain. Ky karu main is ladke ka " whined Ali.

But Dd has another plans " Waise, tell me why were you laughing that hard? "

" Read this, " said Neil and gave him the note.

That secret admirer has a special place in his heart. He pretends as if he doesn't care. But, these letters became part of his life, long back. He loved when she writes, but at the same time maintaining The bad boy reputation is not easy! He ought to pretend that it doesn't matter.

But, who doesn't like these notes, tell me?

When you ask in the very beginning, the answer would be Neil.

But today, we already know this secret admirer has a major impact on our neil. And, Hell, he even proved that yesterday!

" Good Morning, students! " their professional communication professor greeted everyone politely.

" So, cheer up guys! I have a surprise for you guys. "

At the same moment, the door banged loudly making everyone's attention snap to the door.

There he was, her lil fireball thought Avni and chuckled mentally for giving him that name.

It's so weird just like him, yet cute.

This was the only class they had together. She yearned for this class to come soon and stay back till lifetime.

Honestly, it didn't matter if he is in her class, seeing that he is always in her mind.

But him being very next to you, in the same room as you, breathing the same air as you, is a totally different feeling.

And Avni loved it.

" Neil Khanna, you finally showed up to the class. And here I thought, you were kidnapped by someone " professor uttered sarcastically making Avni fume.

But neil stayed calm.

Weird right.

" I could defend myself, sir, don't you worry! " said neil politely and sat in the last-corner seat from where Avni can see him much clearly.

Time passed, Avni was staring at neil and pretending to be engrossed in what her sir was teaching.

Only one period, he seemed to be in her class and she has to use that fully, right?

" So, let's pair up the partners " she heard her professor yelling like a banshee.

Can't he speak slowly, Avni cringed.

Eh, pair up the partners. My luck never works. So no complaints thought Avni and resumed her stare.

" And lastly, Avni and Neil, " said professor blowing the bomb.

What the fudge, thought Avni.

It was as if a dream.

These days, everything seemed like a dream to her. Neil talking to her, thanking her and now sir pairing up them together- which she seemed to wish for every project. But on this, she lost hope.

But now, hearing this her heartfelt overly happy.

Composing her erratic heartbeat she turned to look, Neil, only to see he is already trying to examine her.

Surprisingly today Avni was left early because they had a free period. She was happy, so happy.

She thought to go near siya and share her happiness with her bundle of joy too.

Walking down the road, when she saw the familiar two-story house, she knocked on the door only to see it's already open.

Numerous scenarios were running on her mind. But it was turned off when she heard a scream from inside.

Neil! was her first thought and hurried in immediately.

There what she saw broke her heart all over again. He was a mess. The entire room was destroyed. Photo frames, toys, glass pieces are flowing from one corner to the other.

Panicking she called him " Neil " with the very soft voice

He snapped her attention to her but continued to speak on the phone " Come soon. If you find her, let me know " he said and cut the call.

Now she understood. Someone was missing, but who, she thought.

Maybe he has a girlfriend was her first question. That question made her heart pang.

It's okay Avni, you came here for siya.

Gulping down the tears, that threatened to fall she asked " Where's Siya? It's time to feed her "  Avni said calmly.

But the look neil gave her, crushed her heart. The look, that is full of hatred. Why?

What did she do?

Grabbing her by her shoulders, neil pushed to the closest wall crushing her by his weight " Where is Siya? What did you do? " Neil screamed.

What? Siya is missing, she thought. She would never let anything happen to that lil girl, she promised herself and Avni will definitely keep her promise.

Hearing no response from her " I will not ask again. Tell me where is she, you have no idea what can I do "

Understanding his situation, Avni wiggled out of his cage, pushed him back slowly and thought about where she could be.

But neil remained as if waiting for her to respond. Her silence is agitating him more.

Before neil could do any more verbal attack " Neil, i know what you are going through, but let's find siya. It's the most important thing, right now " uttered Avni shocking neil.

This girl was like a question mark to him. He is always learning a new thing about her, every day. And, today he had completely lost it. Why was he even blaming her? But, venting his anger on someone is the right way to push someone right? 

To push someone, but not our Avni. Whatever he does, she will be here with him at his side, no matter what.

But snapping to the reality " You know, what do you know? " he spat " If I will not find her now, mind it. Mujhse Bura koyi nahi Hoga "

" Don't be ridiculous neil, how much you are worried maybe not that much, but I am worried for siya too. We will find her " Avni said, her patience running thin.

She didn't know why the hell was he blaming her.

" Oh, don't act now. I am warning you. Tell me where the hell is she? " he yelled making her flinch.

" You will find her, neil. Safe and sound " she assured him.

" How can I find her, where will I, f-find her " he started rambling stuff like a maniac.

She couldn't see him anymore broken today. Sighing, she approached him slowly, grabbed him to look at her making him confused.

His face is full of frowns, mouth slightly open, confusion was written on it making him more admirable.

Oh, god! What did I tell you about my sanity? Avni thought.

But siya, is important right now.

She vaguely lifted her right hand, trembling she placed it on his cheek.

God, it felt, so good.

Stroking lightly " You will find her. I promise. Trust me, please. " pleaded Avni looking at the broken him.

Not thinking, he engulfed her in a huge bear hug, afraid that something bad might happen and he will be left alone again.

She was shocked would be an understatement. She was happy, ecstatic to be in his arms. In the arms of the man, she loved.

She savored the moment and tightened the hold on him.

After what felt like years, both of them realized the present situation and grew apart. Neil looked at her with a different emotion from his eyes.

He thought she was doing a service, pitying him. An idiot, he doesn't know, her life practically revolves around him.

Avni searched everywhere. After that encounter, both of them headed opposite directions to search.

Approaching the swimming pool, she saw a familiar blanket floating.

Her mind went blank. She slowly approached to see her Siya, Neil's bundle of joy drowning.

If you would be in Avni's place, you would definitely do the rational thing, right? Diving in the swimming pool you'll be able to save her.

But, Avni can't do that.

She has Aquaphobia. She can't stand water. And the major thing was she has no idea how to swim.

But, that moment she had a glimpse of the man he loved. How broken he looked without Siya. How messed up he looked.

She didn't want him to be more broken than he already is. So she did what her heart told.

The heart always wins the argument, as they say.

She removed her shoes. Closed her eyes and got into the pool. She was able to touch the ground, thank god! Siya was near the deep. Poor soul.

Avni was nearing the deep, only to find her breath erratically faster and thus, making her pace slow down. However, she managed to go near Siya and grabbed her and placed near her chest to overcome from any more water. She successfully placed Siya outside slightly managing to overcome the slipping.

The work is done. Siya's safe she thought.

That's when she heard someone screaming and that made her lose her balance and slip. 

Thus, drowning herself into the deep of the darkness. The last she remembered was someone calling, no scratch that screaming-- her name.  

And, done...
