To say avni was growing on him would be an understatement. She was adored by all of them in that house and by all of them, neil comes into the picture too. 

Since they were spending all the time together, neil had a chance to get to know her too. But, only the minute stuff. And, he was okay with that. 

Meanwhile, neil started hunting for a job. He was desperately in need of it. He could not let his brother's life ruined. He wanted to give his lil munchkins all the things they deserved. And, for that, if he had to leave the school, himself, he would without questions asked. 

That's when he received another letter from his mystery girl. 

His smile brightened as he opened his locker. As usual, there was a letter neatly folded. 

My Tesoro, 

If you even think of leaving school, i would gladly strangle you with my own hands. I agree you need a job. But, do not take any hasty decision. I could tell you that, you want your munchkins to give all the pleasures. But, skipping school is not the way. So, stop thinking about unnecessary nonsense. 

I left the address of the cafe. You can work there. I already spoke with the owner, so she is ready to give the job once after she meets you in person. Don't forget to go, check. You will not regret it.

"Whoa, how did she know that you spoke about skipping school?" Ali yelled.

"Could you be any louder?" Dd smacked Ali. 

"Maybe she just saw me going into the office?" Neil thought.

"Might be." Dd voiced.

But, no one really thought that the mystery girl would keep tabs on them. They just thought it was some crazy crush or someone just pranking for fun, as neil is the 'bad boy'. But, this you know who, whoever she is never fails to surprise them.

After the last class, neil decided to go to the address his mystery girl gave and ought to see if anyone really offers him a job. 

As he approached he saw a small, but a comfy diner. He slowly opened the door and moved inside only to get hit by a fresh coffee beans smell. It was wonderful. It felt homely. 

Now he knew, why the mystery girl was hell-bent of making him go hear. He loved coffee. It was like a potion to him. Whenever he felt blue or unmotivated, a cup of coffee would always help him. 

This place would be perfect if he gets the job, he thought. 

Since it was self-service he went to the counter and asked if he could speak with the owner. The person, the other side looked at him weirdly and rushed it to call someone. 

"Oh neil, right?" he heard a thick voice. As he glanced up, he saw an elderly lady with a soft smile adorning her face. 

He nodded in a yes and smiled in return. 

"Oh, come on in kidoo." she urged and took him to the backside of the cafe.

He sat down in a chair opposite to the lady and started fidgeting. He didn't know what to answer if she had asked any questions. And, if not for his mystery girl he would never even be here. 

"So, neil, Please don't be nervous. This is not your test. In my view, you have already passed it. But, i just wanted to know if you know the basics. Like, making coffee, cupcakes, and all?" 

Neil looked confused. "I know how to make coffee." 

"Oh, i know that. A lil birdie already gave that information." smiled the women and added "You are officially part of this cafe. Call me Ms. Esma. And, one more thing, welcome kiddo!"

Neil was on his way back home. And, guess what he successfully got the job. He was pondering about the lil birdie Ms. Esma had said. he was sure that it was his mystery girl who gave the address. And, he cannot wait to disclose this information to his friends. 

Opening the door, he saw Dd and sunehri as usually bickering and trying to complete their work. And, Ali playing on his mobile. And, the person he longed to see the whole day was on the carpet with his lil bundle playing. 

As if she heard the door, she looked up and glanced at his face as her smile automatically widened making him give out a low chuckle. 

"Neil you're back," Dd asked. 

"So, what happened?" Ali added. 

"Yes, neil. We heard that you went on an interview for a job?" asked sunehri. 

But, the person he wanted to question him was still on the carpet with siya. He wanted her to ask. But, something in her eyes told that she already knows. But how? Or was he overthinking?

Neil, snap out of it. He mentally scolded himself and turned to the people who were eager to know his decision. 

"They gave me a job," Neil whispered. 

"Wow, that's huge man," Dd said and gave a bro hug to his friend. 

"Congo, bro!" said Ali and did a fist bump with neil.

Sunehri also congratulated neil and gave him a big bear hug for his accomplishment. 

Meanwhile, as siya started crying, avni took her to the kitchen and started to fill Siya's little bottle with milk. 

As she was doing it, she felt a presence behind her and as when she didn't respond and carried to pat siya, she heard a throat clearing her behind. 

Sighing she turned around to see the owner. 

"I got the job," said neil.

He didn't know why telling her felt so important. He wanted to share this with her. His mind was not at ease from the moment he was home. Since she did not acknowledge the fact that he got the job nor congratulate him.

"So, I've heard." avni whispered. 

"what?" neil asked.

"Congratulations. You deserve it" Avni gave a slight smile and left. 

After a while, avni and Juhi headed back to their home. Yes, sunehri was still living with avni as they have become good friends. And, neither wanted the other one to be alone. 

As avni packed everything and dropped on her bed, she turned around and squealed on her pillow so that no one could hear it. 

She was trying really hard to contain her excitement. She already knew Ms.Esma would give her lil fireball that job. But then, she didn't expect neil to be that happy. His face was a sight to watch when he said about him getting this job Dd and Ali.

He even came to her in separate to mention that, he got a job. Happy would be an understatement to her. 

Groaning, she slapped her head for spilling 'I've heard' thingy. Thankfully, it was not heard by him. Else, unnecessary complications would arise. 

Avni never even thought about being friends with neil leave alone growing close to him. It was just a tiny part of coincidence. Her being the mystery girl, could change things. She could never disclose that. But, she knew sooner or later they are gonna find her. But, she could not let that happen. She didn't know why she was so paranoid about him finding out her as his mystery girl. No, she cannot let that happen. She would be a bit more careful around him, from now on.

Avni sighed and put all the negative thoughts aside and smiled thinking about Ms. Esma had called her, right after her fireball left the cafe. She said, she will give neil the job and avni couldn't be happier. He needed that job. Avni knew that more than anyone. And, she would do any help he needed.
