Chapter Twelve

Tw: strong language

Sorry this took a while! I uh...maybe have a plan for this but I need time to figure out how to put it.

Damien scooted back, seeing his mom and dad. "Dad," he mumbled, holding Patton's hand under the blanket. "Long time no see, I guess..." Ok, yea, it had only felt like a few minutes for De, but that didn't matter. "Are you gonna tell Mom the truth or not?"

Caligula put on a confused face. "What truth, Damien?" he asked, walking over and sitting down, along with his wife. "About what?" He was an amazing liar, a beautiful manipulator.

He rolled his eyes. "You're a fucking asshole," Damien snapped, earning a gasp from his mother.

"Language," Patton whispered, but he honestly didn't disagree with him.

Caligula went to speak, but Damien cut him off. "No," he said. "Listen to my side of the story now, m'kay?" He huffed. "Mom, Dad tried lighting Patton on fire. He caught me and Pat making out in my room, with the door closed. He pulled him away from me and tried hurting him."

Hemera bit her lip, holding onto Caligula's hand. "N-No he wouldn't," she whispered softly. "Right?" She looked to her husband now, eyes wide.

He hummed and kissed her head. "Of course not, my love," Caligula said. "Surely Patton has simply been getting things into Damien's head, and I'm not surprised. He has always seemed like a manipulative person to me." His silver tongue got to her and she nodded some.

Damien growled and pulled Patton closer to him. "No," he said lowly. "You're wrong, Dad. He is amazing, caring, kind, and would never hurt anyone. You literally have only met him once!"

Patton was close to crying now, honestly. He offered Damien a gentle smile. "Hey I-I should get home," he whispered. "I know when I'm just...getting in the way..." His voice got quieter at the end and he kissed Damien's head and left.

The boy glared at his father and mother. "Both of you can fuck outta my life," Damien hissed at them. "I don't care for your opinions, ok? I hate you both!" He was yelling at this point. He couldn't help it, his parents had made Patton cry. He hated this, he hated all of this.

"Maybe you shouldn't have played with fire," Caligula hummed. "The you wouldn't have been burned, right?" Hemera looked at him, even she could tell the obvious double meaning to it.

Damien's eyes hardened. "You're an ass," he whispered. He sat back and crossed his arms, looking down. He knew his look was bad now. He didn't wanna see it. He could imagine the disgust people would feel when they saw him.

Caligula sighed. "Damien..." He bit his lip, acting worried. "For your own good...I think we're going to send you to live with your cousin, Remington."

De glared at him. "You. Wouldn't. Fucking. Dare!" He screamed, getting out of bed. He almost collapsed, Hemera caught him, but he pushed her away. "I'm not leaving Patton! No way in hell!"

"I'm sorry, my hands are tied," Caligula hummed. "It's all I can do to help calm you now. Playing with fire is bad." He smirked while his wife was turned away. "You need to be taught a lesson for what you've done. Now stop fighting and be a good little boy, alright?"
