Chapter One
Janus Damien Stamos just recently moved. Awesome. With his dad being in the air force, he moved around a lot. However, since it's freshman year, he shouldn't move again before he leaves high school. At least that was good.
His senior year, he was walking around on the first day. He was headed to class, but didn't particularly like the one he needed to go to. Home Ec. He sighed as he got in the room and he sat down next to one of the more popular guys.
Patton Heart. He was the sweetest guy in school, honestly. Always wearing pastels and sweaters and overalls. He looked too innocent to hurt a fly, really. He was seated in his class, smiling, when some guy in a leather jacket sat with him. He smiled and waved to him. "Hey! I'm Patton Heart," he said sweetly.
The other hummed. "Ah...Damien," he mumbled. "Damien Stamos." Damien offered a small smile, genuinely thinking Patton was kinda cute.
Patton giggled. "Nice to meet you! Why'd you take home Ec?" He asked, tilting his head to the side.
Damien sighed and rolled his eyes. "I didn't choose this," he mumbled. "I never thought I'd take anything like this, honestly. What about you?"
"I wanna learn to cook!" Patton giggled. "I'm not too good at it yet. But I know I can be! Plus I love baking."
'.....He's too pure,' Damien thought, staring at him. Why the fuck did he wanna talk to Damien? But he smiled. "That's kinda cool, I guess. I do like to cook, I'm shit at it, but-"
Patton frowned. "Language," he hummed. "We're not supposed to cuss in school."
Damien kinda chuckled. "Ok dad," he teased, smiling slightly. "Anyways, I'm bad at cooking. I like to, though. Mom doesn't know how and Dad's always gone."
The other nodded some. "Ah I get that," he hummed a bit. "I just live with my momma. Dad passed away a couple years ago," he sighed. "What does your dad do?"
He sighed. "He's in the air force," Damien said. "So this is my fifth school. But I should graduate here, y'know?" He seemed frustrated at having changed schools so much, really. And Damien was frustrated. It's why he'd never made friends.
Patton hummed a bit. "I'd love to graduate with you!" He said, giggling and smiling happily. "I can't wait to graduate, it's gonna be amazing!"
Damien smiled a bit again. The other really knew how to brighten up a room. "Neither can I," he chuckled. "I'd be free. No more moving at my dad's whim, y'know? I can finally stay in one place."
The two kept chatting for a bit until the teacher came in. They both went silent and looked to her. She was smiling and introduced herself as Mrs. K. She smiled. "Ok! So today we'll play an ice breaker! Basically, we stand up one at a time, say our full names, then what we wanna do in life."
It got to Patton first and he happily stood. "Hiya! I'm Patton Lucy Heart and I wanna be a teacher!" He smiled and sat back down.
It got to Damien later on and he bit his lip. He stood. "I'm uh...Janus Damien Stamos. I wanna be a uh...a uh...I wanna be a nurse." He quickly sat back down, hearing snickers around the room about his name. He hid his head as the teacher quieted them all down.
