Hemera is my character, as is Caligula. Please ask before using.

Damien held Patton close, kissing his face all over. Both boys were crying, honestly. Patton because he never thought Damien could forgive him for this. Damien because he thought he'd be too late to save the one person he loved the most in the world.

"Patton," Damien sighed, pulling back and letting him go. "What happened? Why did you start doing this?" He looked him over, brushing the hair from Patton's face. "Please tell me, those notes scared me so much...I thought I lost you..." Tears streamed down Damien's face and he reached up, wiping them away.

Patton sighed. "I...I missed you," he whispered. "And everything hurt anyways, this made it feel a bit better, Dede..." He sighed and bit his lip, looking down. "I was scared and people were being mean a-and I just wanted it to all be over, yknow? People kept calling me mean things, pushing me, hitting me. I hated it, and it scared me a lot..." He showed Damien some cuts and marks that he'd gotten, pictures of his face after fights.

Damien sighed. He felt anger rise in him, really. He hated those kids at school, those adults for not doing anything to help. It was shitty, and he really wished he could've helped Patton instead of being asleep the whole damned time.

"I know," Damien sighed softly, hugging him gently before letting him go again. "I get it. It's why I never just came out at school, Pat." Time to tell, he supposed... "People have always been mean to me when they found out, they just don't understand." He sighed. "The world is a mean place, and I wanna help make it better. It scares me to think that I can't even make yours better."

De really wanted to take all the pain and fear from Patton's eyes and replace it with happiness. He wanted to replace that twinkle he once saw there, those stars he'd fallen in love with. He was determined to help him out.

"No," Patton said, rubbing his eyes. "Do not think that way. You've made my life better since I first met you, Damien, honestly. Never think that you haven't, ok? Because you have and you always will." He reached over and wiped Damien;s eyes, seeing more tears had fallen down. "I promise, you've always helped me..."

He looked up and nodded. "O...Ok," Damien sighed. "You've made mine better too, really," he whispered softly. "Normally I'd have never made a friend here, or anywhere. I try not to get attached when we stay places, but with you, I couldn't not get attached, Patton. Please don't leave me...I'm scared I'll lose you because of what Dad did, please please don't leave me, ok?"

Damien had never had permanent friends. He'd never really had friends at all. He didn't wanna lose Patton. He couldn't lose him.

"I would never," Patton promised gently, playing with Damien's hand. "I don't wanna ever leave you, ok? And you have to promise too, never to leave me. Never ever."

"Never ever," Damien agreed gently. He leaned over and gently kissed him, pulling back right as the door opened.

Both boys looked over, eyes wide as they saw Caligula standing there, along with Hemera, Damien's mom.
