YOU KILLED ME
~
In an abandoned factory are gathered fourteen children;sons and daughters of happy couples, young enough to still be under their parents' roof and eyes. However, something doesn't quite fit right in the scenario. What are these kids doing in such a time-worn place, with a warning of collapsing any day?
They all sat in a crooked circle, backs facing inward and faces outward and buried in their knees, tears flowing down the innocent eyes. One by one, drying up their tears, they wail and whine and shout and curse.
It was a routine, to come to this place, vent out the anger and return home to the happy parents, then when things get unbearable, come back again. For some, the simple throwing of words and abuses didn't help them, having them resort to much dangerous methods.
It was just another day for the rest of the world, but for these children, they had left their homes, following the schedule, to gather at the factory again.
"I-I hate my parents!!" One of them screamed, crying her eyes out.
"I didn't ask to be born so why do I have to endure this all?!" Another one cried, yanking at his hair.
"Why did they even decide to have me when they were just going to torture me like this?!"
There were also ones who had the waterworks in control and a much complex way of thinking. These are the kids who took up self-harm because shouting words didn't help them anymore.
"Huh. Some parents they are. Can't even tell the scars they gave me from the ones I put there."
"They think just cooking my favourite dinner is going to be enough payback for losing my eye because of their unjust beating? I thought adults were supposed to be wiser than that."
"They are only happy because they take all their anger out on us."
Among all of these emotionally unstable and mentally disturbed children was one who was not only the oldest but the most suicidal of them all. Why? Because he had decided that he couldn't take it anymore.
"I wish they would all die!" The children cried and agreed with one another. The eldest, however, had other plans.
"By wishing them to disappear, they won't go away. Stop wasting your breath."
"B-but they beat me everyday! Even when isn't my fault!" The younger girl yelled.
"Y-y-yeah! They just h-have me as their p-punching bag! They take out all their a-anger out on me!!"
"I know. They won't ever stop. They think its right but we know its not." The voice of wisdom added.
"What should we do?! I don't want to live like this anymore!!"
"If they won't go away, we will." Everybody agreed and took out the similar yellow envelops with their names on it. "Do we do it tomorrow?"
"No! I don't want to go there again!"
"Alright then."
They all huddled together and placed the envelopes on the floor, smiling to themselves. Their leader passed each of them a rope that ended back at him. They were ready to be relieved when the eldest pushed a big pipe. Up went their bodies and upper still, their souls.
When the mourning parents were presented with the envelopes and they read its contents, another grief took upon them because they realised it was true. On the paper, the ink was spread but the words were very visible. They read:
"YOU Killed Me."
