*still Kellin Pov*

after two hours of studdying and fall out boy playing in the background, I drove Vic home.

I open the door to my house and a random light turns on
"how long have you and Vic been dating?" I hear my dad ask, I was expecting this from my mom not him.
"a few weeks or somthing, but why do you care" I mummble
"I like him Kellin, hes a keeper" my dad says and I look over on the couch to see him stairing a head at the tv

"you what?" I question walking closer to him so I'm in his view
"he stands up for you, you picked well"
"I thought you didnt like that I was gay?" I question and he laughs making me raise my eyebrows

"I didnt like that you were weak"
"okay its like midnight and I'm going to go to sleep, unless this is already some kind of twisted dream" I state and I start walking away

"you should ask him to come to our christmas gathering in two weeks" my dad says causing me to stop walking away. "really?" I ask
"really, now go to sleep you have school in the morning" he says the last part sternly

I walk into class the next morning and I sit in my seat next to Vic, I turn to look at him and he smiles at me. "you wont believe what my dad told me" I say smiling back
"what did he tell you?" Vic asks confused

"he likes you and he wants me to invite you to Christmas with us" I say and he tenses up
"you sure I can? My first impression was anger" Vic says his smile fading
"thats what made my dad like you, you'll be fine, think about it we have time" I say and he gives me a slight smile.

"I'll ask my parents, I'm sure they will say yes because they love you" Vic says and I lean over the bar on my desk and he gets up and moves closer to me making it easier to kiss him. I cup his face in my hands keeping his face an inch away from mine.
"Kells" he says softly, his warm mint smelling breath hitting my lips
"yeah?" I whisper trying not to feel the pain of the metal bar against my body.
"Im standing in an awkward leaning position and I think I should sit down" Vic says with a small laugh. I kiss his lips softly before letting go of his face and letting him sit back down at his desk.

"after break some of you will be getting a new teacher, but if you happened to fail or are just lucky enough to have me again, you will be back in this class" Miss.Blue says and she looks at me
"Lucky enough, next semester no one will know me as the color green" she jokes and I give her a slight smile, in the end she really wasnt that bad. "We have exams all next week that help finalize your grade's fate" she continues.

The bell rings after what feels like hours of exam review.
"dude, I'm not ready for this" I say turning to Vic as he grabs his stuff off his desk
"woh I'm one of you dude's now, you've never called me that, I feel like one of the guys" Vic says

"one of the guys? You arent one of us" Jack says defensively
"shut up mate, hes dating one of us and now hes here" Oliver says grabbing Jack's arm
"love you Vic!" Jack calls out and I just wave him off
"yes you are one of us" I say as we start walking out
"mom I've made it!" Vic says with a huge smile on his face "I'm sure you'll do fine, we did a lot of studying yesterday, I can help you all this week" he adds

"You might have to, I only have a C in this class" I say and he puts his hand in mine.
"What are you doing? You have class to go to on the other side of the hallway" I say confused making him hold my hand tighter.
"I'm walking you to class" he states as if it's an obvious thing. I could bother him and continue telling him to go to his class, but I won't, I like his hand in mine and I will keep it there as long as I can.

*Vic Pov*

I hold on to Kellins hand tighter as I walk next to him to his class. Scared that if I let go and he walks away he'll lose it and hit somebody, I know it won't be Jesse because well, aparently Jesse is going to switch schools, after he gets his x-ray at the doctors. When I go to school today Kellin wasnt here and Oliver told me the news.

"Did you hear?" Oliver asked and I said, "no" and then he told me how Jesse doesnt seem to be coming back here. Also Jesse wanted to apoligize to me for everything. As for Jack, hes questining why Alex didnt show up at school today, aparently for a few days they have been talking and meeting up with eachother in the morning just to say hi, which didnt happen this morning. Jack seems to be a sober person who acts drunk when something is wrong. Jack and I never were on the best terms, ever since Kellin however its gotten better and I think Jack has moved on, Jesse has moved on but he didnt really have a choice.

I let go of Kellin's hand once he stops in front of his class. "see you at lunch" he says with a small smile, "see you" I say returning the smile. Kellin goes inside in the class rooms. I walk past the lockers and past the spot where Jack gave Jesse his left over lunch that went all over my stupid white shirt, an excuse for my mom to come and get me from school but also. we couldnt get the food out so I ended up having to throw it away. The second bell goes telling me I'm late for class. I sigh before making my way back to where Kellin's class was, I pass the classroom looking inside, Kellin writing something down on his paper, I look up from him and my eyes meet Mike's he gives me a concered look and I shake my head and point to Kellin hoping he wont tell Kellin he saw me in this hallway. I walk away from the window not looking back and I make my way to the end of the hall. I see the door in the corner and I push on it, it opens and I slip out of the school, I put my backpack down and I look around the corner to see people runing around in gym class.

"Vic? I dont remember you being in my gym class" I turn around to see Tony he sits down next to my backpack and I sit down next to him "I'm not, why are you not over there? You love soccer" i say as I point around the corner.

"This is just, the class that makes me feel not good enough, they are so competive!" Tony says with a sigh "so what are you doing skipping class?" he adds

"Late bell, don't want attention" I state and he nods
"I thought you were past that and more confident, no offense"
"I am more confident! I got a job, starts the week after christmas" I say and he gives me a really big smile. "congrats dude!" Tony says and he gives me a side hug
"Oh yeah and I'm in Kellin's little group of friends"
"isn't that what you've always wanted?"

"Do you ever think they will let me into that club of theres?" I ask taking my attention away from the laughing Kellin and his friends who are sitting nicely at their lunch table and I look at Mike.
"sure" he says with a smile
"no" Jaime states and Mike's smile fades and he pushes Jaime's arm
"maybe one day" Tony says with a reasuring smile making mine go completly away "and when you get in that group, make sure not to forget about us" Tony adds making me smile a little. Mike and Jaime are whispering angerly so they just missed everything Tony and I talked about.

"yeah, well next to Kellin" I say looking down at the grass
"things are looking up! congrats! just don't"
"dont forget about you guys? Trust me I wont you have me all the time,like durning lunch because I'm not sitting with Jack and Oliver anytime soon" I say interupting him

*Kellin pov* *one week later*

Last week was all spent on studding in class getting ready for the exams, after school Vic helped me with Math and English. and then the weekend was spent with me studdying non stop no sign of Vic, no texts, no calls. Monday morning of this week Vic told me it was because he turned off his phone to study. The rest of the week I didnt see Vic because we didnt have any other exams together. and here I am Friday afternoon finishing up my last exam. Math. I write down my last answer before closing the booklet and looking up at the time. Five minutes left for sitting in silence. Tomorrow is the start of break and I'm going out of state and I need Vic's answer tonight.  A noise goes by signaling the end of testing and I grab my phone off the teachers desk, turn it on and fast walk my way out of class. "Hey Kellin" I turn to my left as the light wind pushes my hair back
"Vic?I thought you had a morning exam?" " I say confused as I look at him and he smiles 
"I just had to see you" 
"how long have you been standing here?" I ask as he moves me a little bit away from the door. "two hours" he says with a shurg as he removes his hands from my arms

"two hours? Vic thats crazy, you didnt have to"
"its okay, Tony showed me some new game to play on my phone so I've been busy" Vic says taking out his phone from his pocket. "My mom wanted me to invite you over for dinner tonight, and ah, she says that I can go with you on your little family winter adventure" Vic adds and I smile at him

"I would love to come to dinner tonight, and we are leaving tomorrow morning so you should pack some clothes today" I suggest and he nods "to my car?" I question

"To your car" he says and he follows me to my car, I open the door for him and he gets inside. I close the door softly and then slip into the drivers seat closing the door after I get in.
"I missed your car" Vic says as he puts his seatbelt on
"really? Why?" I ask with a little laugh as I turn on the radio, turning down the volume because its a song I dont know.
"I dont know, I just do" Vic says with a shurg and I put my seatbelt and start driving to Vic's house. Once we get there we get out and he opens his door. To my surprise his mom is home and she greets us both to big hugs.

"I started cooking dinner it should be done in an hour", she says with a smile and Vic and I go into his room, Vic drops his bag by the door. "wont be needing that until next year" he says happily then he sits on his bed.
"what are you doing on new years?" I ask and I walk over to his guitar and lightly strum it with my index finger.

"not sure" he says shyly
"Oliver always throws us a small get togther party, not as insane as my parties but I mean, you are welcome to come, and I could ask Oli if you know, your friends could come" I say looking away from the guitar and back at him.
"I dont want to ruin the night" Vic says as he aviods my eye contact
"you wont! Oliver likes you, I promise it wont be bad, it'll just be my close friends and yours"
Vic looks up at me and smiles "that would be nice" Vic says

"I havent heard you play guitar in a while, play me somthing?" I ask picking up the guitar, he puts his hands out and takes it gentaly from my grip. "any song?", he asks "any song" I say and he starts strumming a song I've never heard of before.

"To be famous like the stars

"who sings that?" I ask
"Keyes" Vic says as he gets up and puts the guitar away. He puts his hand on my face and we look at eachother in the eyes, he leans in.
"Boys dinners ready!" Mrs.Fuentes says and at that Vic sighs "well" he says and I give him a quick kiss on the lips before putting my hand in his and going to the dinner table, the food already set out.

"Hey Kellin!" Mike says as he pats my shoulder and sits next to me
"havent seen you in a while" I say with a smile
"always blame school" Mike says and he takes the glass of water in front of him and takes a sip of it.
Mrs.Fuentes sits down and we all start eating, I'm gussing Vic's dad isnt going to be home any time soon.

"After a while of asking the electric company who payed the bill, I finally found out who it was" Mrs.Fuentes says and I almost choke on my food, I grab the cup of water and take a gulp of it but no one seems to notice how nervous I look.
"who did it?" Mike asks interested.
"Kellin" she says softly and nicely

"you're a life saver" Mike says and I look over at him and he gives me a huge smile
"Thank you Kellin, you really didnt have to, but it means a lot" Mrs.Fuentes says and I give her a smile
"it was nothing, if you ever need help, I'm here" I say and I look over at Vic who isnt looking at me, he puts his fork down
"I need to um" he clears his throat "I need to make sure I put that thing away" he adds and he excuses himself from the table.
"I'm going to make sure he did"  I say a little unsure of why I said that, good going Kellin. I get up and rush to Vic's room, I knock on the closed door. He opens it and pulls me in closing the door behind me.

"why would you!" He asks in a loud angry whisper
"because I love you!" I say a little louder than a whisper
"I told you I could handle this! I told you not to waste your money on me! If you loved me you would've respected that and left it alone" Vic says his voice shaking a little "I feel like you went behind my back" he adds

"Vic" I say softly
"dont Vic me"
"Victor" 
He gives me a stern look
"Vic I'm not sorry I did what I did, your parents needed the little boost of money and I helped, it wasnt even that much"
"for you"

"What?" I ask
"the money wasnt that much for you, for us we didnt have money saved for that, my mom had money for the cell phones, dad got money for cable and food"
"and I had money for the electric bill so you could watch TV and keep food good" I say
"Thats not the point!" Vic says angerly as he runs his hands through his hair.

"Vic, can't you take it as a early Christmas gift to your parents?" I ask softly and he shakes his head
"please, I dont want me caring to ruin us" I add and he doesnt answer

"okay how about this, I leave now, I'll come in the morning at nine, if you are awake and packed that means you forgive me and we can go out of state together, if you arent packed and dont answer the door, I will give you space and you call the shots on where we stand" I say and I walk towards the door

"I did it because I care, and you know I dont care a lot for people, I love you" I say and I look down at the floor away from his blank expression and I open the door to his room and walk out, I go into the dinning room and I give them a smile

"My parents called me and I have to go, thank you, the food was great I'm sorry I couldnt finish it" I say and Mrs.Fuentes gets up

"I'll put it in a bag for you to take home" she says grabing my plate and before I can reject her offer she goes to the kitchen and does just that. "thank you" I say softly as I take the bag on my way near the door.
"bye Mike!" I say and Mike looks over at me from his spot at the table "Bye Kellin!" he says happily, I dont think I've ever seen him that happy.

"Thanks again" Mrs.Fuentes says as she gives me a huge hug. We exchange goodbyes and then I leave and get into my car. I look over at the passenger seat and I faintly see a memory of the happy Vic from about an hour or two ago. I sigh before driving off to my house.
