(3rd Person's POV)
Each second creeped by as if it had daggers tied on its feet, and was being forced to push through a path full of people in the same condition. The spiral of thoughts grew even more tangled in her head when she eyed the clock hanging on the wall in front of her.
It only has been fifteen minutes since I came here? Impossible.
Yet there was no tool, no piece of information, no indicator to help her feel relieved even by a single percent. Nothing to stop the strangling feeling around her neck that did not allow air to enter her lungs. She already knew that soon, the feeling would grow stronger
But she also was aware of the fact that her doctor friend would know a way out of the dreadful situation she was going to be in. Maybe he would know a little way and would hold her hand to guide her through the black hole that could be endless without Jake's help. But still, the crippling thoughts were refusing to leave her mind.
Her breath heaved as she noticed the door to the doctor's cabin opening. She took her necklace in between her thumb and index finger, toying with the locket attached to it. A fair nurse, her hair up in a tight bun peeped out the room.
"Ms. Shin Iseul, please come inside for your results."
She sucked in a sharp puff of air, still fiddling with the locket as she got up from her seat. Sending a smile to the nurse, she tried to hide her nervousness while walking at a normal pace to the cabin, sighing as she found the attempt to try to calm down of no use.
"Good afternoon," The doctor, Soomin, smiled at her, along with Iseul returning while pushing the brown chair back and sitting down.
"How are the results?" She questioned.
"Ms. Shin," Soomin begins, putting on her glasses and opening a file with Iseul's name on it. "Your heart is, well, not in a good condition." She turns the file in Iseul's direction, pointing to certain parts of the picture with the pen she had in her hand. Iseul leans towards her, fixing her attention to the picture. "This is the left ventricle of your heart. It's a little larger than its normal size, and it can get serious at times."
Iseul moved her head as the words came to her understanding. Learning how carelessness has taken a big toll over one of the most important parts of a body, her throat was starting to feel as if it was on fire. With it drying up with each second passing by and her eyes starting to water up as her sisters' faces flashed in her mind.
"This is a serious condition, yes, but it can be healed," Soomin perlected, looking at Iseul's expression dying down as the information dashed over her shoulders. Iseul nodded once more as her sentence seamlessly ran around in her mind. "A heart transplant will help you, Ms. Shin. There are some outstanding doctors I can tell you—"
"It's alright. Thank you so much." Iseul sat upright and smiled at her. Getting up from her seat. She reaches her hand straight out to Soomin's direction, who does the same to hand Iseul the portfolio.

(Iseul's POV)
"Are you crazy? Do I look like I have money?" My voice came out slightly louder than I intended to.
"Iseul, try to understand, I wouldn't say something for your bad." Jake brings himself closer to me, gently holding onto my shoulders with a soft frown on his face.
A sigh leaves out of me, "No, Jake, you try to understand. I am in a tight financial condition. It's not easy to even afford your hospital, and I don't want to just go to any hospital." I cry out, with tears blurring my sight.
He pulls me closer to him, my head laid on his shoulder with his arm lightly stroking my head, "Please," I hear him let out a breath, followed by him comforting his head on mine. "You will need a surgery…"
"I will."
"I'm begging, please find another hos—"
"Jake."
"Okay. Fine." He mumbles, rather muffled. "I just don't want to lose you."
A stretch of lips into a smile takes place on my face as his words processed to me. "You won't."
"I love you."
"I love you too."
